Residential Inn


It was a little bit weird to be spending all this time indoors, but it was chilly out and even Quirkless Tsu was still of the mindset that it was better to be warm than not. She wandered around the place, heading down to the breakfast area early in the morning, eating and drinking what was on offer. Her familiar, the Kappa, was nowhere to be seen during all this, so she's mostly sitting alone unless someone would like to join her.

Other teenagers could possibly expect her to meander over and sit with them though, if they didn't object.

"Mind company?"


Around Camelot

Later in the day, Tsuyu bundled up in as warm an outfit as she could manage and meandered out into the city itself. She was entranced by the curious combination of nature and architecture, her wide eyes going wider as she followed a stream right up to the wall of a house. She paused briefly before skirting the edge, just to see if it continued onto the other side...

"...Wow, it really does? This place is extraordinary!" she says somewhat loudly. From down in the water, something burbles a reply, and up pops her familiar, chewing casually on a cucumber.

"Now there you are. I was wondering when you'd turn up!" Tsu says to the kappa, who clambers out and begins to shake himself to clear off some of the water. Which may or may not spray a passerby!


Training Grounds

Never one for idling about, Tsuyu did eventually make her way to the magical training grounds to start getting a handle on her abilities. She wasn't thrilled with the loss of her quirk, but she figured that she'd need to make do, even if she didn't like it.

So, she sought out a training partner, walking up to anyone else that looked a little new, or a little less than confident at least.

"...Want to get some practice in together?" she asks, smiling gently.


A Quest! (Possibly leading to A Tall Order?)


Also being a generally helpful person, Tsuyu thought to check out the QuestBoard app to see what kinds of tasks were available. Sitting atop her familiar's shell outside the inn, knees drawn up to her chest, she lounged there, pouring over the assortment of odd jobs. As she sat there, she couldn't help but break out in a little laugh.

"Now that sounds silly!" she says, presumably to her Kappa partner, but maybe that just looks like a green rock and you feel like chatting?

"Maybe. I don't know. But...okay. Your name is Barbara?"

Tsuyu bows. And so does her familiar, actually. Just a bit.

"I'm Tsuyu, and this is kappa-kun."

In response to the bow, Barbara gave a sharp nod. She wasn't too sure of human etiquette in this situation. "Yes. Barbara," she replied, tapping her collarbone.

And if Tsuyu had introduced her familiar, then Barbara ought to introduce her own. She shook her head a little, prompting him to stop clinging to the wings on her armor and fly out in front. "Familiar, moogle. Name Moogle."

[frogiveness]

"It's nice to meet you both."

And they both bow to the Moogle, too.

"I've never seen a creature like that before."

She's never played Penultimate Quest.

PENULTIMATE QUEST

[dragongrrl]

"Moogle live in Luxendarc. Other worlds too, not all. Not like horses."

She crouched down to get a better look at Kappa-kun. It looked like a frog, and a salamander, and a turtle. "Barbara not recognize Kappakun. What planet Tsuyu?"

YES

[frogiveness]

"I'm from Earth? Which I guess you aren't from. Kappa are water spirits from my homeland."

As evidenced by...well...the turtle shell.

A water spirit. Barbara wondered if all kappakuns were friendly, like moogles were, or if they were more usually monsters.

"Barbara planet Luxendarc." She stood up again, having satisfied herself with observing the aquatic familiar. "Earth planet, like Avalon?"

[frogiveness]

It's complicated. Sometimes they're helpful, sometimes they're tricksters. Sometimes they want to rip your soul out through your butt. Just Kappa things.

"eh...close? Avalon's similar, but different at the same time."

[dragongrrl]

Definitely riskier than moogles, who mostly just sell overpriced potions and point you to the next summon.

"Avalon different how?" It was Barbara's first experience with any planet other than her own, and she was curious.

[frogiveness]

"Well, the technology here is not as good. And there's magic. Earth doesn't have magic."

Which is really throwing this frog off her game!
