[Open] There's a place where I can sit
đ§ WHO: Tsuyu Asui and YOU
âď¸ď¸ WHAT: Exploring Avalon, Training, and other Intro Things
đ WHEN: Early February
đşď¸ WHERE: All over!
â ď¸ WARNINGS: Maybe language?
Residential Inn
It was a little bit weird to be spending all this time indoors, but it was chilly out and even Quirkless Tsu was still of the mindset that it was better to be warm than not. She wandered around the place, heading down to the breakfast area early in the morning, eating and drinking what was on offer. Her familiar, the Kappa, was nowhere to be seen during all this, so she's mostly sitting alone unless someone would like to join her.
Other teenagers could possibly expect her to meander over and sit with them though, if they didn't object.
"Mind company?"
Around Camelot
Later in the day, Tsuyu bundled up in as warm an outfit as she could manage and meandered out into the city itself. She was entranced by the curious combination of nature and architecture, her wide eyes going wider as she followed a stream right up to the wall of a house. She paused briefly before skirting the edge, just to see if it continued onto the other side...
"...Wow, it really does? This place is extraordinary!" she says somewhat loudly. From down in the water, something burbles a reply, and up pops her familiar, chewing casually on a cucumber.
"Now there you are. I was wondering when you'd turn up!" Tsu says to the kappa, who clambers out and begins to shake himself to clear off some of the water. Which may or may not spray a passerby!
Training Grounds
Never one for idling about, Tsuyu did eventually make her way to the magical training grounds to start getting a handle on her abilities. She wasn't thrilled with the loss of her quirk, but she figured that she'd need to make do, even if she didn't like it.
So, she sought out a training partner, walking up to anyone else that looked a little new, or a little less than confident at least.
"...Want to get some practice in together?" she asks, smiling gently.
A Quest! (Possibly leading to A Tall Order?)
Also being a generally helpful person, Tsuyu thought to check out the QuestBoard app to see what kinds of tasks were available. Sitting atop her familiar's shell outside the inn, knees drawn up to her chest, she lounged there, pouring over the assortment of odd jobs. As she sat there, she couldn't help but break out in a little laugh.
"Now that sounds silly!" she says, presumably to her Kappa partner, but maybe that just looks like a green rock and you feel like chatting?
Wildcard
If you want to do something with Tsuyu that isn't an option here, please let me know! PM me or hit me on Plurk at
intercession! (Do please ask before adding me though!)

BONK.
That was the sound of that bird slamming its' body right on top of Maribelle's head - so hard that she actually leans over, perhaps a few seconds away from falling right on her hands if not for her ardent flailing. She's looking terribly undignified as she wobbles back and forth, trying to adjust to the sudden weight on her head, face red with anger and humiliation -
"MUST YOU DO THAT IN THE MIDDLE OF CONVERSATION?!"
"Coo," says the bird, sitting ever so comfortably on Maribelle's head like it did nothing at all.
no subject
Pointedly ignoring Maribelle, she turns her attention to the bird.
"You're feisty. Good job bird-chan."
no subject
After she takes a few deep breathes in a desperate struggle to calm down..
"... My, uh... familiar is the type said to cure all illnesses... and makes a point to tell me when I myself am... ill-mannered."
In short, the bird acts as a bitch-alarm.
no subject
The bitch-alert system is definitely something Tsuyu can get behind.
"Are you ready to apologize to kappa-kun?"
The turtle-duck-frog shifts, looking expectantly at Maribelle. It's polite, all kappa are, almost to a fault. But that comes with expectations from the same of humans.
no subject
"In hind-sight... it was a minor spill, and I may have... overreacted to a genuine mistake. Being in this place continues to ruffle my feathers..." A glance up to her bird, who hasn't said a thing since the apology started, "... so to speak. So I was already in a bad mood, and unfairly took it out on the both of you."
A hand to her heart, and once the bird begins to move to her shoulder, she bows her head lightly. "I apologize to the both of you."
no subject
Tsu doesn't really think she's been insulted. Thankfully, the kappa does seem satisfied. His head bobs in a quick not-quite-full bow.
"Okay. He forgives you, and that means I do too."
You have not gained a froggy enemy for all time.
no subject
no subject
She explains that gently enough, rubbing the creature's head.
"They're river spirits, though, so you're close."
no subject
Was this an ex-turtle?!
no subject
How do you explain Yokai to someone with no concept of spirits?
no subject
"Simply put, you're familiar with this type of thing, and therefore it's suitable to you and gives you comfort. That's all that matters, isn't it?"
no subject
And that's about the time he nuzzles Tsu's hair.
no subject
"Well then, I shan't keep you any further from your day. I wish you both well."
