Residential Inn


It was a little bit weird to be spending all this time indoors, but it was chilly out and even Quirkless Tsu was still of the mindset that it was better to be warm than not. She wandered around the place, heading down to the breakfast area early in the morning, eating and drinking what was on offer. Her familiar, the Kappa, was nowhere to be seen during all this, so she's mostly sitting alone unless someone would like to join her.

Other teenagers could possibly expect her to meander over and sit with them though, if they didn't object.

"Mind company?"


Around Camelot

Later in the day, Tsuyu bundled up in as warm an outfit as she could manage and meandered out into the city itself. She was entranced by the curious combination of nature and architecture, her wide eyes going wider as she followed a stream right up to the wall of a house. She paused briefly before skirting the edge, just to see if it continued onto the other side...

"...Wow, it really does? This place is extraordinary!" she says somewhat loudly. From down in the water, something burbles a reply, and up pops her familiar, chewing casually on a cucumber.

"Now there you are. I was wondering when you'd turn up!" Tsu says to the kappa, who clambers out and begins to shake himself to clear off some of the water. Which may or may not spray a passerby!


Training Grounds

Never one for idling about, Tsuyu did eventually make her way to the magical training grounds to start getting a handle on her abilities. She wasn't thrilled with the loss of her quirk, but she figured that she'd need to make do, even if she didn't like it.

So, she sought out a training partner, walking up to anyone else that looked a little new, or a little less than confident at least.

"...Want to get some practice in together?" she asks, smiling gently.


A Quest! (Possibly leading to A Tall Order?)


Also being a generally helpful person, Tsuyu thought to check out the QuestBoard app to see what kinds of tasks were available. Sitting atop her familiar's shell outside the inn, knees drawn up to her chest, she lounged there, pouring over the assortment of odd jobs. As she sat there, she couldn't help but break out in a little laugh.

"Now that sounds silly!" she says, presumably to her Kappa partner, but maybe that just looks like a green rock and you feel like chatting?

{She does as he says. The shield that appears in front of her isn't really all that large. A concave disc big enough for her to duck behind, made entirely of a rainbow light. The darts slap against it, and it wobbles a bit, like it's being pushed by the darts. One ricochets off entirely, another seems to sink into the shield and lose momentum, and the last one breaks through entirely, dissolving the barrier in a shower of sparks.

The dart zips in, and she snatches it out of the air, her reflexes still pretty okay.]

Hey, it worked!

[It's amazing. Really- getting to see both of them experience new skills is really amazing! And the surge of magic he feels in his hands at being able to create something out of magic is really something else!]

It- It did!

[It's almost like Izuku doesn't believe it himself!]

It really worked!

[She flips the dart up into the air and catches it with her other hand.]

It wasn't perfect though. One got through. It broke, but...that's a start. Ribbit.

[A start, but they've got a long, long way to go!]

[Izuku does go to pick up the one dart that seemed to ricochet away. It's still solid so he must have done the transmutation correctly.]

Still, your shield was amazing. It should only get stronger with more practice too.

[They're doing it...! Magic!!]

I wonder what else I could make with these twigs?

It will.

[She could feel it stretching her stamina a little, but that was just stamina. That was something you could learn to improve.]

And...I dunno. Why don't you try making something out of metal. A spoon, maybe?

[fullgauntlet]

[He ponders that and nods.]

Yeah, I think I'm getting the wood aspect down right. Metal or copper would be next.

[He'll just have to get a hold of some metal he can wreck!]

Isn't copper a metal?

Ah, sorry. Yes! That's what I meant.

I was thinking of the different types of metals, yeah! From steel to copper...

[Would he be able to work with minerals too?]

It's a lot to wrap my head around.

Maybe start simple then? Base elements like copper, not alloys like steel?

[That seems like the way to go. Less to think about.]

[He nods.]

Yeah, I think you're right. I wonder if I could find some other places where I could pick up some bits of copper to use.

[But that means he needs to start making his own money so he can purchase these things.]

Ah- Tsu-chan! Have you thought about using your magic on quests?

[frogiveness]

Maybe a hardware store?

[You know, for fixing pipes?]

And yes! I was looking at the quest app, and I definitely want to help. A lot of it seems like stuff we can do, and what we should do. Plus it's easier than getting a job.

I'll have to look around for that!

[The next thing they'll know Izuku will be walking out of a hardware store with a handful of pluming pipes to turn into daggers and swords. Because why not?!?]

I think so too, working on quests seems like it would be good for all of us. [You know, kinda like hero work.] We should work together too, Tsu-chan. And with the others.

[frogiveness]

I agree. I think that it'll be smart, and we can build our...I don't know...influence? with the locals? It may be good if they like us.

[As a just in case. Plus good PR is important.]

[fullgauntlet]

[Smart thinking, it is very important.]

Yeah. There is still so much I want to know about this city. I think that's a good place to start too. If we can help out.

[Quests... and maybe even knighthood someday? Izuku has seen some knights around already. It's really amazing.]

[frogiveness]

Exactly. I'm sure we can. We've trained hard.

[They all have their provisional licenses, as far as she knows!]

So I think we're qualified to run errands and get cats out of trees.

[fullgauntlet]

[Izuku lets out a laugh. He clenches a fist in determination.]

Right, no reason to slow down as heroes in training no matter what the task is. We'll get every cat in distress that we see.

[Go go!]

Exactly. Now we get to be heroes of two worlds. And maybe more if we can save the multiverse.

[Does she sound excited? Hell yeah she does.]

[fullgauntlet]

[That's actually a really great way to see it. Izuku wasn't able to do much for the last world he was caught in... But with this one? He can.]

If we see more worlds than this...

[He smiles.]

That's amazing to think about.

[Which obviously means, hell yeah he's excited too.]

It is really exciting.

[She's glowing, actually. Now, just actually glowing.

A little ray of froggy sunshine.

That has lost control over her magic.]

[They're both so happy! Here they can learn something new and even if he is still very worried about the loss of his quirk and has to think about that and how his other classmates might feel about theirs as well... Here they can learn and still be the heroes that they want to be! He's glad she helped him think that way! She must be so happy about it too she's practically glowing-

... Wait a minute. She's actually....]

Eh-??? Ah- Tsu-chan! You're ... glowing...! Your body is glowing! It's shining!

[That light magic must really be a shining force!]

I'm...wait...

[She looks down, croaking in surprise, and then she just starts laughing and spinning in place.]

I'm glowing! Hah! I'm glowing!

[It's ridiculous, and tingly, and so very strange...]

[fullgauntlet]

Ahh-! It looks really cool, Tsu-chan! Cool!

[IT'S REALLY COOL. Magic can really be just as cool as quirks. ... Now he can't stop wondering if Kacchan will glow like a lightbulb too.]

You could use that on quests to dark dangerous places, Tsu-chan!

[frogiveness]

I could! Yes, that would be useful.

[Bakugou would fucking hate it though.]

Now I just need to...hmmm...stop...?

[She closes her eyes, squeezing her fists together and tries to will the light inside. It flickers, and then winks out.]
