[Open] There's a place where I can sit
🧙 WHO: Tsuyu Asui and YOU
⚔️️ WHAT: Exploring Avalon, Training, and other Intro Things
🕒 WHEN: Early February
🗺️ WHERE: All over!
⚠️ WARNINGS: Maybe language?
Residential Inn
It was a little bit weird to be spending all this time indoors, but it was chilly out and even Quirkless Tsu was still of the mindset that it was better to be warm than not. She wandered around the place, heading down to the breakfast area early in the morning, eating and drinking what was on offer. Her familiar, the Kappa, was nowhere to be seen during all this, so she's mostly sitting alone unless someone would like to join her.
Other teenagers could possibly expect her to meander over and sit with them though, if they didn't object.
"Mind company?"
Around Camelot
Later in the day, Tsuyu bundled up in as warm an outfit as she could manage and meandered out into the city itself. She was entranced by the curious combination of nature and architecture, her wide eyes going wider as she followed a stream right up to the wall of a house. She paused briefly before skirting the edge, just to see if it continued onto the other side...
"...Wow, it really does? This place is extraordinary!" she says somewhat loudly. From down in the water, something burbles a reply, and up pops her familiar, chewing casually on a cucumber.
"Now there you are. I was wondering when you'd turn up!" Tsu says to the kappa, who clambers out and begins to shake himself to clear off some of the water. Which may or may not spray a passerby!
Training Grounds
Never one for idling about, Tsuyu did eventually make her way to the magical training grounds to start getting a handle on her abilities. She wasn't thrilled with the loss of her quirk, but she figured that she'd need to make do, even if she didn't like it.
So, she sought out a training partner, walking up to anyone else that looked a little new, or a little less than confident at least.
"...Want to get some practice in together?" she asks, smiling gently.
A Quest! (Possibly leading to A Tall Order?)
Also being a generally helpful person, Tsuyu thought to check out the QuestBoard app to see what kinds of tasks were available. Sitting atop her familiar's shell outside the inn, knees drawn up to her chest, she lounged there, pouring over the assortment of odd jobs. As she sat there, she couldn't help but break out in a little laugh.
"Now that sounds silly!" she says, presumably to her Kappa partner, but maybe that just looks like a green rock and you feel like chatting?
Wildcard
If you want to do something with Tsuyu that isn't an option here, please let me know! PM me or hit me on Plurk at

[She agrees there. And looks a little amused at the questions. Apparently he was also Japanese, which was nice!]
Zettai Karen Children, actually. One of the characters can do it.
no subject
[ No wonder he hasn't read it, just by the title alone. ]
Well, if there's any tricks in there, you're gonna have to let me know! This place doesn't really look like there's much of a business for detective work, though. Have you seen those quests? They're basically spelling out how they want us to do things.
[ The elf one... he has a thought of opinions about that elf quest. ]
no subject
[It reads like a job board more than a 'quest' thing to her.]
no subject
[ Some are morally questionable, some of just very stupid, so it's no wonder to him that they stick around for so long. ]
And here I was thinking it'd be stuff like hunting dragons and staking werewolves! That's why you're here, right? To get that sort of practice in?
no subject
Yes, that's it. I figured it would be better than sitting around, you know?
no subject
So, what have you looked into? Sneaking around the library seems easy enough if you can make flashing lights!
no subject
[It does to her, anyway. She's not sure about how other people might see it.]
no subject
How's that going? If you can make a shield in two dimensions, work on wrapping it around a target next, like a cage.
[ That would be useful: a way to trap, a way to defend, a way to attack too- nothing rattles the skull like a good shield bash. ]
no subject
[It sounds like something an exorcist might do! And that's cool in her book.]
...Something to work on, definitely.
Once I master the shield. It's slow going.
no subject
All progress is progress, no matter how slow. Let's see what you can do.
no subject
[She starts by holding up her fingers and releasing some of the magic with a word she figures helps her focus. Sparks light up at the tips of each finger, pulsing with a slow and muted glow.]
So far this is the easiest way to start.
no subject
Can you connect the light that's already there? Make it a line.
no subject
[She focuses, her gaze intense. the two lights start to grow, spidering out, making something that looks a bit like a line, but wobbles a bit. It's new, and she's figuring out the "muscle" to make it work, but after several moments it does connect, growing more intense.]
Oh, hey, it worked. Ribbit
no subject
[ He holds his hand up to match hers, although his don't light up, and traces the line from fingertip to fingertip with his other pointer finger, then a second line from his middle fingertip down to the inside of his wrist. ]
Try channeling the light down your fingers and collecting it in the palm of your hand. Rather than moving the light, make it grow like you did before cover your entire hand.
no subject
[Encouraged, she attempts that. Focusing, flexing her fingers, she tries to expand what she's doing. More and more of her skin does light up, illuminated by the magic, and it seems to ripple down her fingers. Not perfectly, as it seems to dim a bit at the tips as she moves it, but she's getting it closer to the palm. Her breathing quickens, and she beams when it finally comes together, a globe of it in her hand.
And then it wobbles, breaking apart into a cloud of motes.]
That...takes...focus.
no subject
But look at that! Leaps and bounds from where you started, isn't it?
no subject
[He is technically correct.]
Thank you for the encouragement!
