Second: Quest Calling (Feb Catchall)
🧙 WHO: Mukuro Ikusaba and OPEN
⚔️️ WHAT: Doing some quests, being socially awkward with the local wildlife
🕒 WHEN: Throughout February
🗺️ WHERE: Various
⚠️ WARNINGS: Violence in the quests probably (will update as needed)
1) A Little Conversation
Mukuro had been trying to get a handle on suddenly having magic. Despite the seemingly supernatural levels of abilities the Ultimates at her school had, it was nothing compared to real magic. And, if she was to be honest with herself, she had literally no idea how to start learning. It wasn't like learning how to use a weapon at all!
But she wasn't about to give up!
Most mornings, she could be found around and about Brocéliande forest trying to...awkwardly strike up conversation with the local wildlife whilst her huge Hellhound found a shady spot nearby to nap.
"So, like...do you like carrots or whatever?"
To say the least, from the look the rabbit gave her before it raced off, it did not approve of the question.
2) The Libryrinth 🗡️
The rumours about the Library and whatever lay within certainly intrigued her. It sounded like a paranoid person had been jumping to conclusions from the original post, but then she noticed one of the weird symbols when she'd pulled out a book on animal care.
"...Maybe there is some truth in those rumours."
Well, it was late afternoon by now. Stealth and infiltration weren't out of her scope - even if doing so wearing Junko's obnoxious fashion was a task in itself - so maybe she should look into this one, after all.
3) A Tall Order 🛡️
"Ergh, seriously, do these things have to be so patronising?"
Initially, Mukuro was trying to work out a way to manage one of those sedan chairs all by herself... however, this was definitely not going according to plan. The elves were, to say the least, taking no time in pointing out that she was a disappointment and that this wasn't going anywhere fast.
"Oh shut up, I'm doing you guys a favour already!"
4) Wildcard!
[ooc: As always, feel free to PM me or ping me on Discord @ ArchangelAmy#4540 if there's something special you'd like to do with her!]

[ Whether or not she means to check the book out, he places it back in its empty slot in the shelf, although upside down so he can tell at a glance it's one he's already looked at, even from a distance. Better put his own book back too, so it doesn't mess anything up. ]
Too bad the rest of the books are in the far end of the library I'm not allowed into! Think you can put the librarian in a headlock or something for an hour so I can take a look undisturbed?
[ Seems like less trouble than sneaking in after hours... but direct contact with the librarian would just raise suspicion, so that's not ideal. ]
no subject
[A shrug, glancing to the areas of the library marked off with cord.]
But, like, easier for an infiltration to just avoid contact wherever possible, right?
no subject
It's plan B! We sneak in, and then if we get caught, you knock the librarian out from behind while I get away!
no subject
[But...that was a genuine smile he was giving her, right? She never really had any idea how to deal with that.]
no subject
Then we'd better not get caught. Are you in? Let's do it tonight.

[ It's the perfect place to hide and people put too much stock in modesty, turning a blind eye whenever anybody even goes near the vicinity of a bathroom. ]

no subject
[ Maybe? Whatever, either way. Time to camp out in the bathroom and hopefully she's got something to entertain herself while the time passes until it's after hours and they're sure everybody's left. Lights shutting off should be a good indication that it's time. ]
no subject
[Assuming he doesn't do anything weird, she'll just wait around in a bathroom stall until the lights shut off - then it would be time to act.]
no subject
When the lights shut off, the cover of the book snaps closed. ]
Hey. Haven't fallen asleep over there, have you?
no subject
No. Ready to move out?
[Wait, no, that sounded too martial, um, um...]
Seriously, I thought my butt was gonna go numb sitting there.
no subject
Don't be complaining about the opposite once we're out there. I'll take point and you follow my lead. We stick together. If the librarian approaches, scatter and regroup when all's clear. I'll be able to communicate to you from a distance using my magic.
[ He taps a finger to his temple. Cognitive magic, one-way. ]
What can you do?
no subject
[Now that sounded like he was taking this like a mission- she'll be happy to go along with this.]
Animal magic, haven't figured out how to shapeshift yet, but skills include basic self-defence, stealth and flexibility- so can use it to enhance that.
...Being fit is part of being a model, you know?
no subject
[ Makes sense, outside of the fact that she felt the need to justify this, but having self-defense classes as part of physical education at school maybe skews Karma's opinion of things. Either way, the fact that she can maneuver through the maze of a library tells him all he needs to know, and he's sure he can work animal magic into the plan if necessary as well. ]
I dunno if there's much in terms of animals in a library... but if you can get moths or spiders to gather around you if we get caught, I bet that'll throw the librarian off enough for use to make a break for it. Other than that... I guess that's it! Ready to move out?
no subject
[She shot him a small grin, before the mission-focus descended into her demeanour again.]
Roger that. Let's move out.
no subject
But that's just the same with Karma, speaking the way he does with a grin alight on his face, the smile not dropping as he slips out of the bathroom first, fist up by his shoulder as a hand signal for her to hold position until he gets to the entryway to the main library, scans the room, and then signals for her to move forward.
Coast is clear enough for the two of them to move together. No visual yet on the target, which is good: if they can see the librarian, that means the librarian can see them. ]
no subject
She was hoping the librarian would stay out their way. A fight was not what she wanted to deal with if it could be avoided.]
