It isn't magic related. It's more like... [ He sighs softly. ] It's better if I show you.

[ He lifts up his right arm, which for the most part was covered by a long glove. The upper arm looked normal, but the forearm didn't move, even with Naoto flexing for a moment. ]

My right arm's gone. Normally I would have it, but I lost it when getting here. I used my magic to make a replacement, but... really, it's just a block of wood. It's hard, doing things with your non-dominant hand, y'know?

[ She looks over at his arm and sees what the issue is as soon as he points it out. ]

What happened when you got here? Did they just...take it away from you?

[ She frowns, shaking her head a little. ]

That just seems unnecessarily cruel... I hope that you're able to create a replacement that works for you soon.

No, I lost my arm a while back protecting someone. I had a replacement, but it... disappeared as soon as I got here.

[ He puts his arm down as Pyrrha offers condolences. He smiles weakly, nodding. ]

Yeah, I hope so too. In fact, this arm is the best one I've made so far. It helps that my magic is the elemental kind. Can just magic up new wood if I need it! [ He's proud of that little achievement, thank you very much. ]

[ She knew this place took away powers, but to take away something like that is pretty ridiculous. Still, though, she notices that Naoto seems happy with his creation, so she offers him an encouraging smile. She does feel a little bad, like she insulted it somehow, but hey, as long as he's happy with it! ]

Well, if I need some spare wood for anything, I know just who to ask!

Did you have to carve the wood yourself? Or were you able to mold it like that with your magic?

[ Now that put a smile to his face. He loved being helpful to others. When asked if he had to carve the wood, however... that made his mood deflate a little. ]

I had to carve it. On the upside you don't have to worry about cutting yourself! On the downside... [ A grimace. ] A lot of error.

Hey, you can say you made it yourself though! That's an accomplishment in itself, I think.
