Before the wedding

King Arthur is around to meet with people at the wedding and talk with anyone who would want to do that. (OOC: However, to thread with Arthur you have to reply to someone else inside the log before that. This is to ensure Arthur doesn't take the spotlight out of the wedding.). Merlin is also around but won't have a thread to interact with (but you can assume he said hi).

The ceremony

A sacred circle has been made. Jean and Mikasa gathered the needed materials for the circle a week before the ceremony. There are items that represent all of the different magic types in a symbolic way. One of the items was gifted by a family member, one by a close friend. All of them are mostly simple items that somehow represent the different magics, like a herbal leaves for Healing magic or a potion for Alchemy.

King Arthur begins the ceremony by blessing the circle and anyone who is close to either Jean or Mikasa will be invited to gather around the circle. Jean, Mikasa and Arthur take their positions in the circle and the guests around the circle are asked to hold each others' hands.

Arthur then ties both of Jean and Mikasa's wrists together with a red ribbon dyed with ground crystals and quickly prick them with the tip of a spindle through the ribbon. The blood on the ribbon is said to tie their souls together, so that even if they are separated, they will always be able to find one another again even across the universes, life, and death. Guests at this point start to sing an acapella version of the couple's chosen wedding song, which is A Thousand Years (which was given to everyone with the wedding invitation when they were sent, even if not everyone invited was around the circle necessarily).

During the song, Arthur performs a wedding-specific spell that calls the ribbon off of their wrists and folds it into a rose, which is then alchemized so the crystals solidify and create the couple's wedding rose. Jean and Mikasa exchange rings at this point (given to them by Mukuro, who is Jean's bestman) and kiss, and with that the ceremony is complete.

Wedding Reception/Afterparty

After the wedding ceremony is concluded, Merlin does some magic and sends Arthur home and the wedding guests to the wedding reception. He doesn't do something like often because the ritual of transfer takes a lot out of him, but weddings are special occasions and full of love energy (Love is the strongest force of all, that's one thing he agrees with Morganna. Merlin will also be at the party in a disguise.

The party is more open to anyone who knows Jean or Mikasa or knows someone who knows either of them. It's held at Lord Zidane's Castle in his lands, Atys, near the Ruins of Celliwig.

There are beautiful flowers around the party from Moondrop. Various kinds of dishes are on buffet tables and, of course, desserts and the Cherry Blossom-themed wedding cake are both on their own table.

Both Jean and Mikasa's dogs (Snow & Hazel) are at the party with cute pink ribbons tied to the collars and they accept all sorts of attention as well. Their cat (Sakura is lounging in a special pet corner with a cat tree and other entertainment for any animals (pets or familiars) to use. There are also cakes and other types of food meant for animal companions so they don't get left out of celebrations.

The rose that came with the ceremony is on its own table and anyone who touches it will be able to physically feel a sensation of love Jean and Mikasa have for one another.

[It's their first dance as a couple at its last moments. Jean and Mikasa seem to be completely in their own world, smiling and occasionally kissing.

Jean still feels like he's the happiest person there ever was. This day had been perfect and now he was married to the woman of his dreams. His one and only true love. There's there uncontrollable giggles and just smiling the whole time.]

I love you so much words will never be enough to describe the feelings.

[He puts a hand on Mikasa's cheek, cupping it.]

[It sure feels like they're in a world/space/place, where there's no one else around them and Mikasa doesn't even want that feeling to go away anytime soon. She just wants to smile at Jean, keep doing all of this dancing and kissing with him and she could stay forever right here. Someone would break that magical bubble somehow, eventually, but at least they're in their own space for now.

She gives a laugh at what he says and her smile becomes even warmer if that's even possible.]

Then lucky for you? There are even better ways than words to describe all of them.

[She nuzzles his nose. Eskimo kisses, enjoy, but she gives a quick, soft, real kiss too.]

[Jean chuckles softly at that and the eskimo kisses, gladly kissing her for real and bringing the hand from her cheek into her hair.]

Lucky me. For that... and for marrying the most amazing person I've ever met.

[He puts his forehead on hers. The song is close to finishing, but they still have a moment to just be like this.]

[At least she didn't put her hair on a bun for today, so as nice as his hand felt on her cheek? It's possibly even nicer to have it in her hair, where he can run it through her hair as if he'd be softly brushing it while they're still -- somewhere around people, she guesses, the party's not over yet even though she's almost completely forgotten everyone else for now.

Mikasa almost says something-- Something but it's really not the right time to ask whatever first comes to her mind from that. So instead she blushes a lot and shakes her head like she thinks Jean's making a huge overstatement there but she's smiling even more either way.]

I'm glad you had the patience to wait for something for once...

[... See, not as bad as whatever else, that she could have said but also very true, it's not like he had to wait and give her time or that most cases probably even end up like this. Married. She couldn't be happier about it either but she knows it's an even bigger deal for Jean after . . . Everything.]

[Mikasa's hair, as always, feel wonderful and Jean could play with it all the time. It's easy to just get lost in the moment and forget where you were.

But now it's Jean's time to blush because of what Mikasa says. It's true he's an impatient guy in many ways but being called out on it is always embarrassing. Though he chuckles and comes up with the perfect thing to say in return.]

You're worth every second of the wait I did and I would have waited for even longer if I had to... because I've always known you're the right one in my heart.

[Had things turned out different, he would have been alright with living his life alone and being happy for Mikasa from the sidelines. Of course life could have proved him wrong even with that, but that's how he feels now. Felt back then whenever he had time to think about his future.]

And you will always be.

[. . . oh gosh, there he goes again with all those words, that make her blush even more and leave her totally speechless. Not like she's very good with words, ever, but this sure is one of those moments when she really doesn't have easy time to think about anything else than one thing to say.

His wait is over and...]

Well, I'm yours now.

[Not her first time saying it, but considering this whole wedding thing that's happening today -- THEIR WEDDING and not anyone else's -- it's... Different than before.

And Mikasa really doesn't know what to say after that, so she'll just put all of her feelings into a gentle and soft kiss to his lips.]

[When Mikasa says it like that, in this moment, Jean's happiness explodes inside and if he could literally glow he would ligth up the whole castle. He replies to the kiss and just stays there for a long while, enjoying the kiss. The music of their first dance ends, but he doesn't want to move just yet.

Eventually, he does pull himself away enough to look at Mikasa. The next song is about to start, but they can dance later. Instead-]

Well, want to go enjoy our buffet?

[Admittedly, he's rather hungry. Not as much as he's hungry for Mikasa's attention, but he can eat and get her attention at the same time.]

[ Too bad he doesn't have light magic because she'd love to see that light show! ...Or too bad they aren't in Empatheias anymore, she'd see it there too.

Still smiling at Jean even when she sighs at their dance ending and him pulling away... ]

Yes. Let's go taste everything from there.

[Jean kisses her one more time before slipping his hand into hers and intertwining their fingers, leading them away from the dance floor and towards the tables with all the food.

There are plenty of cute finger foods and nice looking dishes on the table. Jean grabs them a plate that they can share.]

What should we try first?

[Her smile becomes even softer, when Jean brings their hands together like that and she follows him to the buffet tables.

Mikasa tilts her head to one side and thinks... Then she grabs some flower sushi and heart shaped sushi to them.]

[Sushi has definitely become a favorite ever since they tasted it some time ago. And these ones look both pretty and delicious.

Jean thinks about the choices and picks a red pepper filled small savory pastry shaped like a heart for one and a small skewer with chicken, feta and vegetables with some of them shaped like hearts.]
