To this day, I can't look in a mirror because I'm afraid I'll see "her"..... [April Catch-All]
🧙 WHO: Della Duck & You!
⚔️️ WHAT: Quests + Della making plane blueprints!
đź•’ WHEN: All throughout April!
🗺️ WHERE: Around Camelot!
⚠️ WARNINGS: Nudity re: Missing Mindful Quest
Hell In A Handbagsket
[ Della does feel bad for the girl, and Uncle Scrooge would be remiss if anyone in his family missed an opportunity to hone their buying and selling skills. But she can’t imagine anyone really needs handbags in a magical world, where RPG logic says you can hold 99 of one thing in your pocket. So instead of selling the handbags exactly… she decides to sell an experience. ]
You there! Would you have any interest in target practice on dudes you hate?
[ She’s placed the handbags on top of small platforms, each one with a blank sheet of paper on it. In her hand is a multitude of markers. ]
Describe the person you wanna hit the most, and I’ll doodle them! Then you use those ugly mugs as target practice with your magic! All for a low price – isn’t it worth it to vent out your rage? Step right up, there’s plenty of revenge to go around!
Garrrrr! Goyles
[ In order to best your enemy, you must understand your enemy. Which is why Della has found one gargoyle, and, assuming it was a bad one, planted her feet there and entered a staring contest.
… With a stone statue. Look, the logic is that once it awakens, it can’t scare her, and she can chase it out of town. She’s… just unaware of how ridiculous she looks as she waits for sundown. ]
I can do this all day and night, buddy. I’ve won so many staring contests with my mirror, it’s not even funny! … It actually isn’t, it’s a little depressing.
The Missing Mindful
[ Missing persons? Count her in! She’s ready for a rescue! But she is not ready to be suddenly naked. Granted, most of the guys in her world never wear pants, but that’s not the issue her. Sure, she lets out a startled WAK, her feathers are covering her lady bits, but her real problem is the person next to her.
Humans, man. ]
GAH! Why couldn’t let they sound off a warning?! How can you people just… let everything hang?! Aren’t you cold without any fur or feathers?
[ She doesn’t mean to be rude, but she probably doesn’t need to be covering her eyes like she’s facing off against a gorgon. Geez. ]
Blueprint Beginnings
[ Some of you may or may not recall Della longing to build a plane here in Avalon. It’s still a long way to go, but here’s one step she’s working on out in the open! … Well, as open as one can be with all this rain. Outside a café where the umbrellas are over the tables, Della has a huge paper sheet across her table, writing on it extensively while every so often remembering to eat. It’s the makings of a blue print! ]
All right, so I might have to downsize how many seats will be available… gotta make sure there’s plenty of cargo space for treasure. Maybe put some back-up crystals inside the wings in case of weather emergencies… maybe install communications between the pilot and passengers like this…
Wildcard
[ You know the drill – make your own prompt! Feel free to plot with me via plurk at melcat33 ! ]

Garrrrr! Goyles
If he's honest with it, Sasara can take a kinda liking to the methods described of these creatures—it's Dokkiri, basically! They type of program where celebrities get surprised. And while he knows he's no good at it for TV, just cause he always sees through it, it's fun to watch if someone gives the right reaction. In this and that, he might have more in common with the gargoyles than the folks trying to stop their shenanigans. A beat 'em with their own weapons sorta deal!?
The afternoon is already moving into an orange glow. He's stopped and stares—however much ya can with eyes closed—at it too over Della's shoulder when he speaks suddenly– Dokkiri-like!! ]
Ya ain't thinking of moving it with your mind, yeah?

... I wasn't until now! But I haven't really lifted anything that heavy with my kinetic magic yet...
[ Cause that's what this stranger meant right? Right? ]
no subject
[ More like, the way she stared intensely, he had to make a funny guess. But now, if she takes a look, Sasara ain't the kinda guy bulked up with muscles either... It's where his own affinity comes in. However, even that oughta get some practice, ya know. To make perfect, so to say.
And while he's about to give the stone gargoyle a tap on the head over her shoulder, he'll offer his help. ]
I'll give you a hand. Heh! Or more like, a piece of my mind, ya see! [ How punny. ]

The more the merrier! Always happy to have a hand, mind, or whatever else you've got to spare! Name's Della Duck.
Blueprints!
May I ask what you are working on?
no subject
This? This beauty is gunna be Avalon's first plane!
no subject
It looks distantly akin to vehicles I know of, yet it must differ greatly indeed without aether and crystals to rely on for power and aid.
no subject
[ Not wholly crazy, anyway. ]
But the main feel is pure plane, as it was always meant to be!

[ With that, she takes her pencil and taps towards a certain section near the back. ]
Depending on what we find, we might need separate compartments for cursed and non-cursed treasure.

I gueeeess I could... but I'm really trying not to lean on magic so much! I want this to feel like an authentic plane from back home.
no subject
Perhaps if you thought of it not as magic, but skills. To handle a cliff, you would bring someone skilled at climbing. An ocean, someone good at diving.
no subject
That's precisely why I know I can do this without magic - because I'm the best at flying! When it comes to piloting, there's no one better! I've traveled the world in the original Cloudslayer, able to avoid the most hidden cliffs and the most dangerous bad guys!
[ Maybe more than a bit. ]

Just the one? Boy, that'll be tough to choose! Like the time we fought off Ice Vikings, or the time we sought out the Money Tree, dodging an alien invasion, fighting moon mites, discovering the secret of the Woodchuck Founder, escaping a genie's wish... Lady, I could go ALL. DAY. LONG.

[ Della pauses, realizing they've gone way, way off track here. ]
... Anyway! Plane good. And I promise I will use magic in parts of it, for back-up measures... just not the whole shebang. And when it's up and running, you can be one of those first passengers!

[ She proudly sticks a thumb to her chest! ]
Our pilots had abandoned us, so I grabbed the controls so we could land safely on the shore!

She griiiiiins, hands on her heads, beak up in triumph! ]
You bet! Soon as I could, I enlisted into the best flight academy and aced it! There's no terrain I can't handle!
no subject
[She has a certain primal in mind, of course.]
no subject
[ she even stands up in her chair for that triumphant declaration. Here's hoping she doesn't fall off. ]
no subject
[Is it real or is it an effort to convince herself? Hard to say, in truth. Right now Venat leans towards the former, but only time will tell.]
What about a lack of fuel for the plane?
no subject
That... is a problem. Not gunna lie. And it's a big one.

Wildcard - Weapon material shopping
Most he has with him is his phone and a list of materials needed for a sword. He's still the type of guy who makes lists on paper.
He's standing in the rain but staying dry because of his Dry Spell. Convenient invisible umbrella is convenient.]

Hey, Jean! Thanks for doin' this with me!
