[Open] Calling Doctor, Doctor
🧙 WHO: Naomi Kimishima and You
⚔️️ WHAT: Happy New Year, New Catch-all
🕒 WHEN: Throughout January until Event
🗺️ WHERE: New Camelot, Hospital, Wherever the Quests take her
⚠️ WARNINGS: One quest is Gravestone-Faced so mentions of death and other such may come up
It was not her intention to come along and try catching the fish herself, but considering the apparent necessities that went into needing to catch these fish in particular, Naomi decided that perhaps once she would step out of her office and offer her services to anyone who intended on doing so. No, she didn't have elemental magic, but this was why learning some survival skills were imperative such as making a fire, and proper treatments for hypothermia.
Also, how to proceed to moving over ice if uncertain of its stability, but details.
For now, the fire had been made, started, and fueled; all that was left was the fishing.
"Are you ready?"
She hadn't expected this application of her magic, but it saved them time, truly. Knowing which bodies were alive and the others that had already been forced to move on allowed them to note where to come back to while in pursuit of their target. Also, a pleasant reminder of what would happen should they potentially fail. They could stop and rearrange those fallen to remind themselves which was which later, but Naomi was prepared to head on.
"What do you want to do?"
Because she's ready to move on and get this matter dealt with.
Now was the only chance to hesitate; but otherwise, it was time to press on.
How or why, she didn't question it for too long because, honestly, the better question was 'where did it come from'. At this point, most things could likely be chalked up to magic, but something created the egg, gave it feet, and then insisted on it locating a surrogate. Or would it be foster in this case?
Either or, Naomi would be found at the shops with a black egg, the color broken by the soft, almost ethereal swirls of red, purple, and blue that could be seen shimmering upon it in the right lighting. It seemed to be a calmer egg, or maybe it helped that she was an adult that had experience with younger children and toddlers. She did get a swaddle carry for them arranged to make it easier, and was in the middle of questioning the natives to Avalon about the eggs in general.
After a while without much success, she could be found taking a break at a small café, a steaming cup of coffee for herself... and the egg rolling around in a mixing bowl filled with warm milk.
"Come in..."
As usual, Dr. Kimishima was available should people need to visit. All that had really changed about her workspace was a small playpen being arranged in the corner, sometimes occupied by a black egg with swirls of purple, red, and blue shimmering throughout. And if it wasn't there, it was settled in her lap and content with not moving.
Either way, there was an egg. Try not to deviate from the reason for visiting... unless eggs were involved.

I. Ice Fishing
It was not her intention to come along and try catching the fish herself, but considering the apparent necessities that went into needing to catch these fish in particular, Naomi decided that perhaps once she would step out of her office and offer her services to anyone who intended on doing so. II. Gravestone-Faced
She hadn't expected this application of her magic, but it saved them time, truly. III. Calls You Mommy
How or why, she didn't question it for too long because, honestly, the better question was 'where did it come from'. At this point, most things could likely be chalked up to magic, but something created the egg, gave it feet, and then insisted on it locating a surrogate. Or would it be foster in this case?

Ice Fishing
[Chongyun, however, doesn't look like he's done much to prepare. He hasn't cast any spells on himself, nor is he dressed particularly warm. In fact, he's just dressed in a thin shirt and some swimming trunks, like it's a regular summer day. It looks like catching hypothermia isn't crossing his mind.]
Will you be ready if I am able to catch something?
no subject
[Looking at their supplies, she nods.]
It's not a large ice chest, but it should be able to transport a few.
no subject
[He gives her an affirming nod, before turning back to the lake. After a brief moment, he will dive in!]
[Give him some time to hunt down those pesky fish.]
no subject
[But he appears to have this.]
[While he dives, she stand aside and wait, making sure that there was enough ice in the chest.]
no subject
[He coughs to get water out of his lungs, shaking his hair and wiping his eyes. He's shivering, but he looks up at Naomi with a disappointed look.]
S-Sorry. It's a bit hard to see down there...
no subject
[That was... something they should've considered. However, she should verify.]
Is it difficult to see as in too blurry, or is it an issue with lighting?
no subject
[He slowly pulls himself out, sitting at the edge of the lake. He shivers again.]
This water reminds me of the lakes in Dragonspine...

Calls You Mommy
After a moment he happened to spot Dr. Kimishima at a nearby cafe, but before he can greet her he noticed the bowl at her table, and it seemed to be...moving.
"Uh, is...that...okay?"
Should there be any worry about danger?
no subject
"It is."
Her answer made it sound as though a wiggling bowl was a perfectly normal thing to have at the table. Right now, she'd think it was; it kept things tidier instead of just... hm, no, it would undoubtedly shove part of its meal off of a plate.
no subject
"May I, uh... ask what it is?"
no subject
"... Goat's milk." But she knows he's not really asking about that. "The egg appeared in my room the other morning. I've inquired as to where it came from, but no one native to this world seems to know. At least, not in Camelot."
no subject
"And there isn't a way to identify what it might be, by what kind of egg it is?" He knows that some species of animals have distinct eggs, but if there's no information about them, then there probably isn't any way to learn more about it that way.
no subject
"If you want to try, go ahead. You may want to wear gloves..." And also from the way she's eyeing him, he would have to be careful. As calm as she was, it didn't mean she wasn't as protective as the others he might've seen around.

ii
Kimishima-sensei!
[He jogs up to her to meet her at her side and pats his hands on his knees as he catches a breath.]
You're looking for the creature that escaped too, aren't you? We should work together.
no subject
Are you sure about this? By the reports, they'll be difficult to subdue.
[Also, she isn't a cognitive mage should something like that occur... keep his body alive though? Yes.]
no subject
I'm sure! As a knight and a hero I don't feel right by not trying to at least help out.
[He looks determined and even that has a sparkle in his eye and a serious look to him.]
What else do you know about the escaped creature? It's supposed to be sensitive to emotions, isn't that right?
no subject
[Those were all the details she'd been provided. But that was the thing with escaped captives: they had a file so these details were transparent.]
I can take divert its attention from you if you wouldn't mind to go for the takedown.
no subject
[Oh........................ No. That's a lot. It would be lying if that description didn't make Izuku a little tense. Just what is he getting into here?]
Right... I'll do my best.
[Show a brave face!! Wait- He can't even do that. He tries to school his face which just makes him twitchy and his eyebrow and lip twitches... That probably doesn't vote him much confidence in this, does it...]

IV
Physician.
[ --So he speaks, but his voice is a touch hoarse, as if pointedly withholding more strain from seeping into his tone. One look at him reveals why: he's quite bloodied, with one arm nursing what may be a deeper wound at his side, and it's only eight in the morning. It seems he's only just managed to slip away from some sort of fight that lasted throughout the night.
His lips part as if to ask some sort of treatment from her, but the mysterious egg sitting upon her lap earns more than just a cursory glance. He may be injured, but.... ]
...Shall I return another time?
no subject
No, come in. If you can, remove your clothes before you sit down, but if you can't, I'll handle it.
[Meanwhile, there's a small whine of protest from the egg as she picks it up and places it in its small playpen.]
no subject
Somnus moves to the chair, unclasping the gold pin of his cloak, and then he tosses it, forgotten to the tiled countertop, heavy with sleet of the icy weather outside and what could be more blood. With a pained grunt-- and what appears to be some careful amount of effort-- he lowers herself to a chair. The chlamys beneath is frayed at the side and front, evidence of a well-placed strike of something incredibly sharp, and beneath that are his white, linen robes similarly slashed through, staining the cloth red in an oblique line from shoulder to opposite hip. Peeking through the fileted fabric is a gash. He continues to hold onto his left side with one arm.
He disrobes himself only enough to reveal the laceration across his chest, but the work seems to be taking more effort out of him. Somnus is a naturally pale man; now, his skin looks white, and beads of sweat dot the side of his face. ]
Can you-- [ He rasps, staggers over his words, and then moves his hand to adjust for more pressure against his side, where the cut is deepest. ] Can you heal it?
no subject
I can. You'll be fine.
[Once this one was taken care of, she would help him lie down.]
[Hm, whatever caught him had been sharp, designed more for cutting than entirely piercing. A piercing weapon was often chosen for intended clean entry, but then further damage would be caused internally either by design or in attempts to remove the object. Still, perhaps it had been a spear or polearm that caught him. Either way, this didn't appear to be that; and so, moving her hands near the deepest section of the gash, she takes a moment to clear the area and quietly begins to weave the split muscles, veins, and skin back together without having to deal with jagged frays.]
Tell me if you feel uncomfortable.
[Her hands might be warm from her magic, but he'd been somewhat physically adverse last he came in. Otherwise, she would continue working, following the gash up.]
no subject
It doesn't stop his jaw from clenching right after she makes contact with the deepest part of the wound. Despite himself, his hand whips out and reaches for her wrist, gripping it with such strength that his knuckles turn a stark white.
The motion seems to have been an instinctual reaction to protect themselves from someone only barely holding their consciousness together. A moment afterward, his eyes widen, as if seeing the error he's made, and his hand releases her, fingers tacky with blood. He manages to utter between breaths: ] Tell-- no one... of this.
[ Then he grips the side of the procedure table. Relief comes with the first wave of her healing magic, and its real-time effect can be seen upon his expression. Only when she moves to treat a new area does his brow pinch or his body tense.
Apart from the deeper part of the wound, the vector upward from the laceration is not as terrible-- as if he had quickly moved away after the initial impale. Not for nothing, either, for if he hadn't, the injury suggests he would have been bisected from hip to shoulder. By the time she begins to treat the shallower part, the tissue has at least stopped bleeding. ]
no subject
Legally, I'm not able to tell anyone. You're safe.
[Also, if he would refrain from doing that while he's injured? That would be great. She remains focus on her work after that, nodding her head occasionally as the wound closes, mentally processing what's been reconnected and what still remains. The important thing is, the deeper area of the laceration is soon closed and no longer bleeding. The usual shifting on her neck and Eve's peering eyes were looking out to double check on the work, but Naomi rolls her eyes.]
How long have we been working here now?
[The familiar can only flick her tongue. Sure, keep saying that; Naomi shakes her head at something the familiar says while her healing magic finishes winding its own way around the rest of Somnus's wound and closes it without her touch.]
That's the worst of it. I'll clean up the remainder so don't move.
