🧙 WHO: Taichi Nanao, Hikaru Hitachiin (A closed prompt), and A Flash Mob (OTA)
⚔️️ WHAT: Hikaru told Taichi that he thought it was more likely a planet made him gay than that he caught feels for him and that he needed time to sort it out. like a month ago. Taichi's been as patient as he's physically capable of being and has gathered a number of friends together to flash mob Hikaru and ask him out for a date. Anyone who helped out with the flash mob is invited to a cafe afterward to have dinner together as a thank you! Flash mob is very much in a public area and includes Ren, Tamaki, Takao, Miwako, Crow, and.. anyone else who wants to say they joined in! Taichi is very open so would welcome anyone who wants to help and can dance. (Those are just the people who expressed interest, anyone is welcome to join in the after party and assume they were involved if you want!)
🕒 WHEN: Midday, January 17thish, after going shopping with Hikaru for new clothes.
🗺️ WHERE: Somewhere mid-Camelot City
⚠️ WARNINGS: Juicy Pants.

[ They've been walking for some time, and Taichi is carrying their shopping bags around, having taken Hikaru's at some point because Hikaru often times just hands him things. He's slowly starting to realize that it's a pattern-- but that's a tale for another day. They've been out shopping for clothing and despite that it's the end of their trip, Taichi is buzzing with energy. An energy that's reflected as the loudspeaker in whatever shopping area they're in starts playing a a song from the early 2000's, Kylie Minogues "Can't Get You Outta my Head."

Starting with just one person dancing, people start to clear out of the area as more and more people join in on the dance. As requested, everyone is dressed in whatever they believe fits the "2002" theme. At a certain point in the song once everyone else is in, Taichi turns to Hikaru and hands him the shopping bags. ]

Hold this for a second!

[ And then Taichi tears off the clothing his was wearing, which was apparently secured as a rip-off outfit the entire time. Beneath it, he has on a skinny scarf, a pleather quarter-sleeve jacket, and the pride of 2002 fashion's sweatpants with "Juicy" plastered over his ass. Taichi joins in the dance to finish off the flashmob dance, then the whole thing ends with a big finale of Taichi getting down on both knees (careful not to do just one so it isn't confusing) and holds out a pansy to Hikaru. ]

Please be my boyfriend!

[ The dance mob disperses at that point at least, to give them time to talk after innocent bystanders clap and watch, since they need to converse about this of course! ]

LATER, AT THE CAFE (OPEN TO ALL)
[ Everyone who was involve in the flash mob is invited to a cheapy little diner cafe. Taichi... genuinely can't afford much, this basically used all of his money that he'd earned since arriving here and he's going to be eating inn complementary food for the rest of the month for sure. But he's offered to buy everyone at least 1 drink if they participated in the flash mob for him! And exactly two pizzas!

(Look, he can't afford more than two pizzas.. he will at least not be partaking so there's more for everyone else.)

Please enjoy a little gathering to meet and greet, laugh, and be merry! Anyone is welcome to post whatever they want and tag whoever they want for this prompt! :) Or just be at the diner and tag the rowdy group of people high fiving each other for a job well-done. Or maybe buy Taichi a rootbeer to drown his sorrows in. ]

H-Hikaru! We've just had our first kiss, I'm not ready for you to be horny yet! I need to research!

[ That said, he definitely liked that way too much despite that he's accusing Hikaru of being horny... ]

[Hikaru has to turn his head not to laugh in Taichi's face but he can be heard. Taichi makes it too easy and he turns back.]

Oh, so it isn't that you don't want to? But only that you need to know more? There's always hands on experience... [He leans in to whisper in his ear:] Taichi-senpai~

[He'll stop soon but this is just too much fun.]

[ Hikaru!! EVEN IF THAT'S TRUE, YOU DON'T NEED TO SAY IT!! He's getting flustered and flustered and he turns his head after the whisper and pecks him on the cheek firmly! Deep breath! Determination! Put your foot down, Taichi Nanao! ]

You can't today, my face is all puffy!

[ ...He didn't sleep well last night, he doesn't look his best and he wants to look his best for Hikaru. This is the best he can do! ]

[There's something funny about how serious Taichi is when Hikaru was just joking but then there's also something very cute about it as well. Hikaru's romantic feelings are a mystery to him but they're there and that's all there is to it really.

Smiling, less teasing now, he leans in to peck Taichi's cheek and then his lips.]

You're fine. You're puffy but I am too. Besides I was joking. You think I'm the type to put out before we go out on our first date? [And their first time.]

I don't know yet!

[ Taichi grins, his mood being visibly lifted by the kisses again. He reaches to find Hikaru's hand to hold before leaning in for another kiss. ]

Some people say you're not supposed to kiss before you get married, so who knows? Maybe you're going to ruin me for marriage!

[ Thankfully, Taichi is just teasing him. He can barely even manage to sound accusing about what he just said.. even if he's intentionally vague so it's way less forward and less embarrassing. ]

[It's been a while since they held hands and Hikaru didn't think he would ever be the type to miss something as simple as that but he was so happy to hold Taichi's hand again without a care in the world. Like it had always been. With their fingers entwined, Hikaru squeezes his hand.]

Okay, no more kissing so you're all pure for marriage. Nothing but handholding from now on. [Hikaru sounds perfectly serious.]

I don't need to impress A-chan that badly, take it back!

[ He wants his smooch privileges restored!! ]

Geesh, I can see you ready to beg. Lucky for you that isn't my thing so fine. [He brings Taichi hand up and kisses the back of it.] I guess hand kisses are okay.

[Dating somebody brings on a whole new way of teasing them.]

[ The timer ticks by in Taichi's head as he thinks of a way to try to tease back, heart fluttering at the frankly adorable kisses to his hand. He definitely can't give in this easily, since he's not supposed to beg and he wants his full smoochies back. Tick tick tick ding. ]

I'm not tall enough to get regular kisses on my own so I'll have to take what I can reach.

[ He leans in and presses a kiss to Hikaru's neck, right over the jugular. It's soft and hesitant because this feels really intimate somehow, but one of them is gonna give in eventually. (Most likely Taichi, but he has to make a final stand at least.) ]

[When Hikaru had started teasing Taichi, he had assumed it would end up with Taichi whining and Hikaru jokingly giving in and kissing him.

He had not expected it to turn to Taichi's favor and to actually shiver because that is intimate and it feels...different. Not bad but still something he's never experienced.]

Guess I should take you more seriously, huh?

[His tone isn't nearly as teasing as it was (much heavier with something he can't put a name to) and right now, that's the farthest thing from his mind when he leans in to give Taichi a kiss that's deeper than the other small ones he's given with his hands on Taichi's cheeks. When he pulls away after a moment, it isn't very far as he meets Taichi's eyes with his face flushed.]

You win. [But he doesn't feel like much of a loser.]

[ While Taichi has his moment of cool, he loses it the second he hears Hikaru's voice change. That kind of reaction is...

And then he's being kissed again. It feels amazing, like Hikaru is reaching into him and pulling his heart out of his chest right through his lips and just when he's about to moan embarrassingly, Hikaru (un?)thankfully saves him and pulls back and says he wins or something?? What was happening again? ]

Hh.. what did I win again? I'm--

[ Is he having a man-reaction to this already?! Embarrassing!! Taichi turns bright pink and stands up, but turns with his back to Hikaru. ]

I've got to pee, don't follow me! I'll be back!

[ Well, he's got to calm himself down anyway... Too overexcited, Taichi!! ]

[Why would he follow him to the bathroom???

Hikaru stares in confusion, frowning for only a second. He'd thought they were having a nice moment? Hikaru had certainly liked the kiss and had wanted another. But maybe it was too much? Taichi had said Hikaru couldn't be horny today (even though he was just teasing!!) so maybe Taichi thought this went too far? But he'd kissed Hikaru's neck?! And it wasn't like he'd stuck his tongue down his throat?! If Taichi felt it was too much then he would remember that...

Sighing, Hikaru pulls out his device and decides to do research about when you should have your first kiss but well, Taichi had decided that already so then...making out? But somehow that leads to when you should have sex and Hikaru promptly turns it off. That was definitely too much!!]

[ Taichi's a weird, easily embarrassed idiot who knows he needs to calm himself down. He's overeager, as always, and definitely needs to figure out how to calm himself down. Ahhh they just started being together he can't freak out when he's the one who diverted from the goofiness!! He splashes his face with water, and is back out in a couple of minutes.

His face is really red. ]

Okay! I'm okay. [ He's already forgotten he said he was going peeing. ] I was just.. you know. I wasn't prepared for that today, mentally! And I really liked it...

[ At least he's being honest now that he's calmed down. ]

[The whole peeing story wasn't really working for him anyway.

But thankfully Hikaru's relieved to hear Taichi liked it so he'll brush that off as he smiles.]

I wasn't prepared for you to tell me yes. I was kind of bracing myself for a no and how we'd always be friends, y'know? So, yeah, I wasn't prepared for anything today. But that's fine and if you liked it then shouldn't that be all that matters? Why think about it so much? You should do what you want.

[This may be his privilege talking. As well as his own selfishness. But it isn't like he's thinking about that at all right now. Doing what you enjoy just seems like good advice?]

I was sure you were gonna ghost me until I saw your message this morning!

[ In fact, now that he's calmed down, he's coming in to wrap his arms around Hikaru's right arm if he lets him, grinning up at him. Just in case he's fallen out of bed, hit his head, and this is all one big hallucination. Hikaru can't disappear if he's holding onto him. ]

Do you have other stuff you have to do today?

I wouldn't have ghosted you. Don't you remember what we told each other when we first came here? We were always going to be friends so you'll always be important to me. [For Hikaru, being open has always been a challenge despite what most would think. However, with Taichi, it had been easy since the beginning and only become easier and easier to do so.

He leans in and kisses Taichi's forehead.] So my whole day's yours. I was just going to be thinking about you all day anyway.

[That came out smoother than he thought it would?!]

I won't ghost you either. Unless my soul leaves my body from how big of a flirt you are.

[ He's joking. But seriously, he thought it was a lot to handle when they weren't together, it's already dialed up!! In a good way. He'll die happy if his soul leaves his body this way. He accidentally lets out a giddy little giggle when Hikaru kisses his forehead again. ]

I can't stop smiling.

Good. You're cuter when you're smiling anyway.

[He grins like he knows exactly what he's doing and flirting all the more. But even before they were dating, Hikaru had wanted to give Taichi boosts of confidence. Not that he actually knows what he's doing, or if this is a good way of doing so, but he wants to support him. No matter what.]

But you're also very cute when you blush, so watch out~ Even a year from now I'll still be working hard to make you flustered.

[ God, he's gonna pass out from how embarrassed and happy he is right now. He buries his face in Hikaru's shoulder, hiding his blushing. ]

Do you want to watch a movie? [ A beat. ] There aren't bourgeywazy movies that are separate from what everyone else watches, are there?

Yeah, there is but you usually don't know about them. You have to make a certain amount in a year to be able to see them. But directors, producers, actors? They all make a secret set of films. It's pretty exclusive.

[But just because they're dating, it doesn't mean Hikaru still isn't going to pull this stuff with Taichi. He's too easy to mess with.]

I can't believe Ten-chan never told me about this! How am I supposed to be his rival if he isn't even telling me what the mega-secret goal is?!

[ Somehow, this is Tenma's responsibility to have told him. The orangeheads in his life, man. ]

Then he'd lose it all. Think of it as a secret society because you're not supposed to talk about it. Even I'm not supposed to be telling you about this but I think I should be honest with you. No secrets.

[Hikaru is keeping a straight face during all of this as he always does when messing with Taichi. Will he ever learn when Hikaru is pranking him?]

[ You would think since they're from different worlds, he wouldn't even assume Tenma was involved in this. But he's kind of an idiot so he gulps. ]

Th-Then... if I bring it up to him, will I be pre-banned? Or is it okay for him to talk about it now that I know? Am I part of the secret society!?

[ This is so much pressure???? HE HAS ANXIETY ABOUT THIS NOW???? ]

I can let you in but there's a secret code that you have to know. [Hikaru takes on a solemn face.] Look into my eyes and just know that you can't let anybody else know, okay? This is serious. You have to repeat after me. Are you ready?

[ Taichi nods firmly, leaning in for the secret like he's ready to receive a whisper.]
