[ At the edge of town, a heroic cry goes out! A battle of a lifetime is about to ensue! What ever could be going on? Do you dare venture forth to see it?]

All right, you zombified zealot! Prepare to be exorcised before you can say “Necronomicon”!

[ Della has chosen to face off against the Fear Gorta! She has her dukes up, ready to do battle with this thing that… just kinda groans… and can barely hold up the bowl it has. Yeaaaah.

Della’s enthusiasm is starting to wane. She glances around, slowing down her shaking fists and clicking her tongue. She was kind of… hoping for more than this? ]

… Uh… you gotta any… ear-shattering shrieks you’d like to make, or… I dunno, wanna just glare at me? A little?

[ grooooaaaaan. ]

… Okay, I’m starting to feel bad. Is anyone else starting to feel bad?

[ She starts looking around for support. Stop her or help her? ]

Obsession

[ All right, now this is more her speed! She slaps on some gloves, and with her partner – who may be here at the White Cliffs voluntarily, or she may have dragged you along despite your vocal and violent protests – goes over her supplies. It’s time to go on the hunt, but let’s make sure we’re prepared before we officially set out to the glen! ]

All right! I’ve got a potion for Bitten Dust, that’ll knock him unconscious for a good half hour… I’ve got summons for random bees, summons from a tentacle to appear out of a void, a Soul Catcher if we wanna use our familiars that way, and a Lucky Coin, ‘cause you can’t go wrong with a little extra luck! I’m feeling good about this!

Man, can I learn this spell when this is all said and done? This is SO MUCH FUN!

[ Is this what the hip young people of today call Parkour? Della laughs merrily as she goes from one space to another, even trying to land on one foot or one hand! She does lose her balance a few times before managing to JUST get it back, yet continues laughing all the while. What a great day! ]

[ Wait a minute. If he's doing that whole intro, he's trying to spark 'terror' into an enemy, and if he's doing that - ]

HEY! Do you really think I need to be helped here?! Look at this thing! I could blow it over with a sneeze!

[ she is INSULTED that he thinks she needs to be saved! ]

[He pauses mid-dropkick and falls down to the ground. He frowns as he adjusts his hat.]

Wait, what do you mean? Isn't this that horrifying, zombie-like evil faerie terririzing the town, soon to be my next nemesis?

[ Is it her imagination or does he call EVERYTHING his soon to be next nemesis? ]

... Look at this thing. Yeah, it's gross but... I dunno, it just seems kinda... pathetic?

[Della just doesn't understand branding! A hero needs a solid rogues gallery to draw in the crowds, and you take what you get when it comes to building one up!

...But she does have a point. His shoulders droop as he looks towards the emaciated figure.]

That... Well he kinda does... But you can't judge a book by its cover! He might just be holding back, and waiting for the right chance to get the drop on us!

[He starts shadowboxing to taunt the faerie.]

C'mon, put up your dukes! The jig is up. Show us your true power! And please, clearly pronounce your canonical supervillain name while you're at it!

Okay buddy, you gotta give me a little bit more to work with yet. Where's your special attacks? Your declarations of pure evil?

[The guy continues to be unresponsive.]

You do look really skin and bones... What, are you hungry? Need some food in your system before you're ready to fight back? Can we- can we feed him something?

... They said he was a zombie, and I'm not willing to hack off more body parts, no matter how hungry he is.

[ She thinks for a moment, then digs into her pilot jacket to pull out an apple! ]

I was gunna have this for lunch, but yeah, he could probably use this more than I do.

Oh yeay definitely not - definitely not going for zombie food here!

[Just the thought of it makes him wince! But Drake accepts the apple offered instead.]

An apple, huh? Not sure if this is part of his diet. But they do sat that an apple a day keeps evil away! Here, um... Try this.

[With that, he just... sheepishly leans forward and plops the apple into bowl.]

[ It's kind of both for Fenton, who only came along because Della had asked him to but also because he does worry about her a bit (though he won't admit so out loud because he doesn't want to offend her). Her question does have him a little uncertain, though, especially as he observes the items that she's brought with them. ]

Uh...just the Gizmosuit.

[ Which, admittedly, is good for keeping a distance from the Gancanagh. But he's realizing that maybe some spells might have come in handy too. ]

[ Fenton, you're being way too considerate, since she is definitely going to offend you in the next couple of seconds. ]

Well... the Gizmosuit is plenty of stuff in one, so I guess that'll work! And maybe the visor will prevent you from seeing naked Gandra again.

[ With a grin, she loads her stuff back up, and begins to walk. ]

How's the lady love been lately? You two dating here, or keeping things friendly but awkward?

[ He slings his bag over his shoulder as he heads off with her, though he clears his throat and fidgets a bit when topic comes back to Gandra. ]

Sh-She's, uh...great! We're...kind of dating?

[ "Kind of"? ]

I-I mean, we've...gone out a couple of times, but we haven't really...put a label on it or anything.

... Why not? You worried she's still gunna turn traitor or something? Cause, I get it.

[ She shrugs one shoulder. ]

Look, I won't lie... even though she's proven to be smart and kind of nice and regretful, there will always be a part of me that kinda wants to punch her in the face for putting my kids in danger. And not the fun danger like me and Scrooge do.

[Gandra's on the edge of town when she sees the face off between the ugly little creature and Della. It barely looks like it can hold its little bowl up.]

Way ahead of you on feeling bad for it. I saw that quest and all, but maybe they're stealing food because they're starving? Looks pretty weak and sickly to me.

... But isn't it a zombie? So if he's hungry.... I'm not exactly willing to cut off another limb of mine.

Well...they're stealing food, not attacking people, so maybe it's an omnivore zombie rather than the people eating kind.

[Guess what, Della? You're getting roped in for science.]

If we want to properly study it, we can get a few inexpensive things to try feeding it. Nuts, a piece of meat, lettuce, and fruit.

... Now I'm starting to get hungry too. I guess I can do a quick grocery trip and split whatever I get... if you're willing to watch him.

I can do that. He doesn't seem too tough, and if he does try to bite me, I've got healing magic.

[Though she'll dodge and restrain if need be. In the meantime, she'll just observe the creature and keep him away from others.]

All right, I'll be back in two shakes of a chimera's tail!

[ Fingers to eyes. Fingers to zombie.

And then she BOLTS - she really does intend to do this quickly! ]

[Gandra quirks an eyebrow up at the warning gesture, but says nothing in response. After all, Della did agree to go pick up food and has left Gandra to watch the gross little creature. Clearly there's at least a bit more trust than there used to be.

Instead, she waits with the creature for Della to return. It's not trying to bite her. It just looks kind of wobbly and pathetic as it wanders about.]

[ Not too long after, Della returns with three chocolate bars! ]

Okay! Did anything happen? Did it make any threats or noises or summon an army of its fellow dead?
