Arrival: Multiple Prompts [OPEN]
Who: Zelda and your character!
What: Getting acquainted shenanigans and anime tropes
When: Arrival
Where: Multiple locations
Warnings: None at the moment but please mark CW if needed.
1: The Red Spring
A: When the new arrivals reached the resort town, some were pretty tired. Zelda was one of those who was extremely exhausted as she was not used to traveling this much. She desperately needed to rest. So, when she checked in to her inn room, she didn’t even complain or see who her roommate was before plopping unceremoniously onto her twin sized bed and passing out. She would awaken a couple hours later to meet said roommate and be very confused and probably a little embarrassed.
She would also be quite intrigued by the various technological marvels, examining them like an overexcited puppy and wanting to test all of them them out. Though the video games may cause a friendly rivalry if she is challenged.
B: [Incoming Anime Trope! RIP Zelda's Dignity] After a most likely very awkward exchange between Zelda and her roommate, she decided to go investigate The Red Spring. The beauty and majesty of it reminded her of the Spring of Power and Spring of Courage that she had spent many long hours in prayer. However, there was something different about this one. It didn’t evoke anxiety in her. Instead she had more of a sense of peace. As she was still a bit tired, and she knew there was still a very long journey to the final destination, the rumors she had heard about the Spring having restorative and temporary energy enhancement properties lured her in.
So, she did exactly what she would have in her own world (though she would probably have soldiers standing guard), found the most secluded space and undressed (what are swimsuits? And It’s not like the prompt specified that they were provided.), laying her clothing out neatly on some flat rocks. Zelda waded into the Spring, immediately feeling the rejuvenating and relaxing effects. She may have relaxed a bit too much and neglected to pay attention to her surroundings. So should someone stumble upon her, she would probably die of mortification. Unless someone was courteous enough to help her out with this?
C: It also may have been possible that in her relaxation Zelda could have lost track of time and before she knew it, it was sunset and the Spring lit up in a bright red hue, evoking a feeling of panic in the princess. Yup, it also happened to be a full moon that night. Would she be able to return to shore before the water’s unpredictable effects got to her? And what if she wasn’t as alone as she thought
D: If she hasn’t died of mortification the night before, Zelda would have gone to the training grounds, early in the morning before departure, in hopes of discovering what type of magic she had been granted. Though a little hesitant, as magic had been a somewhat sore subject for her, her entire life, she would like to assist someone with their own training. She would probably be quite shocked if she received praise for her efforts as she had only received negative reinforcement from her father thus far.
2. Eat Well
A: The amount of food at the banquet would be astonishing to Zelda, even as she had been to many banquets before. And the tastes! How different than anything she had eaten back home. As much as she would want to indulge, she also had manners and would take a modest helping of the things she would like to try most and set out to one of the open spaces at the long banquet tables.
Perhaps she would meet a new acquaintance and hit it off well enough that they would be acceptable roommates? After all, living alone in a strange place would be pretty lonely.
3. Grail, and Grail and Grail Again?
A: If she hadn’t found a questing partner or group already, Zelda would be just stubborn enough to try to attempt the quest on her own. Of course it wouldn’t be surprising if she ended up getting herself into trouble with some beast or another and needs to be rescued by a friendly stranger? She’s not really the best fighter.
Wildcard!
A: Feel free to start your own top level with any other shenanigans you would like to have with Zelda!
((Hoping I did this right!))

"All right." she nodded, "I trust you."
It was also possible that she was being a bit too trusting, as she was still pretty naïve, but did she really have much choice? Joining the red crystals that were the Spring's namesake didn't exactly sound like a pleasant way to spend an eternity in this place.

Blink and you'll miss it: Dust spun, jumped, and slashed all in one blinding motion, the Blade of Ahrah shining in the red light of the pool and his cloak and tail trailing behind him in an arc as he cut full-strength down through the water and into the crystal, just a hair short of her leg. The resulting splash of water couldn't be called convenient by any means, especially when the displaced spring water slapped back in and splashed Dust clear up to his nose, but...
no subject
But the feeling of the crystal trap was indeed absent now so whatever he had done worked.
She shook off the splash and smoothed her wet hair away from her face before looking to see if her rescuer was okay, her relief temporarily wiping the awkwardness of the situation from her mind.
"Are you okay?" she called searching to see where he had landed.
she should probably get out of there too...no subject
It would have been a lot cooler if he'd just jumped clean out of the water and to safety, but she was out and unharmed, right? Even set down on her side so he could let go of her, figuring she didn't exactly want to be trapped by him a moment longer than necessary.
no subject
That didn't mean that Zelda wasn't going to die of mortification as soon as the adrenaline from the fear of the possibility of almost becoming a part of the Red Spring wore off.
She quickly ducked behind the nearest rock which unfortunately was on the opposite side of the stranger who had just rescued her, from her clothing.
"Th...thank you..." she managed after a long moment, "but... um.... if you would be so kind?"
Her gaze traveled to the rock behind him in which her attire was still laid out.
no subject
"Huh?" he managed to get out, before he had to cough some water out of his throat. "Ech, it tastes worse than it looks."
no subject
"Are you all right? I apologize, I should have asked that first. Oh, I hope it doesn't make you ill" she said frowning.
no subject
no subject
"I am not hurt. Did you sustain any injuries? I might be able to heal them?"
no subject
WAIT THERE'S A REASON NOT TO LOOK THAT WAY
His cheeks immediately darkening, Dust yanked his head back around. "Sorry!"
no subject
At least she was beginning to look at the whole situation with some amusement instead of absolute mortification. And it was nice to know her rescuer had a sense of humor as well.
Perhaps they could convene at a later date, one where they were both fully clothed.
"If you're sure you're all right... would you mind fetching me my clothes? Before any other unsuspecting strangers happen to wander by? I'd rather not give the any more of Avalon a view they would most likely not forget."
The statement, although slightly sarcastic, implied that she didn't care at this point if he saw anything as she would prefer to limit the amount of exposure to just him, and the only way she was sure to do that was to redress herself as quickly as possible, which required her to remain behind this rock and for him to bring her, her attire.

Dust pushed himself to his feet, prompting another rush of water to surge off him. "Sorry if I get them a little wet!" he said, though when he reached them he stood some distance back to carefully lift the bundle with Ahrah's tip instead of his soggy-furred hands. No worries about holes, he was very delicate!
no subject
"I do not mind a little water." she assured, still frowning, "It is you who I am more concerned about. That looks rather uncomfortable. All of those heavy clothes in addition to such dense fur."
She watched as he used his sword tip to gently lift her attire, impressed with his ingenuity and stood from her crouch when he approached, in order to grab the garb with one hand, her other shielding her top half. Thankfully the awkward was lessened by the rock covering her bottom half.
no subject
The... disadvantage of picking her clothing up with his sword is that he had to look in her direction to offer it over, lest he stab her. Once again, the striking lack of fur proved very surprising.
no subject
She tilted her head to the side and raised an eyebrow as he approached. The look on his face was more one of confusion than the sort of lewd expression that would normally be expected of a male put into such a scenario.
Zelda still had one arm still covering her top as she reached for the clothing, offering an appreciative smile. Then she quickly ducked back behind the rock in order to redress.
As she was dressing though, she continued the conversation.
"In any case, had you not shown up, I most certainly would have fallen to whatever fate those crystals at the bottom of the spring had in mind."
Dust would then hear a light laugh from behind the boulder along with the shuffling of clothing, "I suppose I should pay more attention to the moon phases before choosing to bathe in a strange spring, in a new land, said to have mysterious effects?"
The princess stood and tossed her wet hair back over her shoulders.
"I appreciate your assistance nonetheless, despite the uncomfortableness of the situation. I will repay your kindness as soon as I am able."
Now fully clothed, Zelda strode to stand before him and clasped her hands in front of her. She looked up green eyes meeting his gaze.
"I suppose introductions are in order?" she commented smiling shyly, "I am Zelda."
no subject
Dust visibly relaxed when she emerged clothed. He might not be the most social person in the world, but he could handle things like this when they were in-line with more ordinary rules. Maybe they could just pretend none of the awkwardness ever happened? He would definitely, definitely make himself forget all of that.
(Spoilers: he would not.)
"I'm Dust." He finally managed to smile as well, a little weak but a real gesture all the same. "And this is Ahrah," he added, twitching the sword he still held.
no subject
The idea wasn't too far fetched to Zelda, as the Master Sword was sentient as well Though to her knowledge, only the Hero could hear it.
She laughed lightly at his comment about provoking the crystals, now a bit more relaxed herself since the danger had passed.
"Do you have a tendency to cause trouble?" She teased, "Or is it more common for you to find yourself in said trouble?"
Zelda should honestly be the last person teasing about getting into trouble, but she did it anyway. She had to lighten the mood somehow.
no subject
That's an apology, if veiled. Sorry again...
no subject
She tilted her head to the side as she studied him, noting that he still seemed a bit tense, though more relaxed than before. "Regardless, I believe your actions have made up for your failures, and I am quite grateful to you for that."

Even if he had done an 'idiotic' thing, Zelda wasn't one to really hold grudges, so she was almost over it. It wasn't like he had lewd intentions or anything, so it worked out in the end. Besides, she was definitely intrigued by the idea of other worlds since she was a scholar after all.
"And tell me a bit about yourself? I will do the same, it's only fair. We can talk while we walk back to town? Which was my next question. Would you mind escorting me back? I was not expecting to be out so late, and with the full moon, I fear my lack of battle skills may be detrimental to my getting back to town. Who knows what else may be lurking out there?"
She did have to look away herself now. Zelda knew she was assuming and Dust may take offense.
"That is, if you accept? I can pay you, when I settle in and acquire funds."
That was going to be a difficult one. It wasn't like she had ever had a job or anything before. Nor did she do a lot of things for herself. Being in this world would be quite the adjustment.
no subject
"I'll escort you back. I don't need to be paid for that, that's just -- decency. Besides, I owe you that much." What with, uh, everything he'd done.
no subject
"I apologize. Thank you for being so agreeable though."
She decided to give him a chance to answer whatever question he wished before prodding him to get going.
"Please, answer as you wish."
no subject
"I don't know much about anywhere that isn't Falana. To be honest, I can't even say I know that much about it either. There was a war going on, and monsters all over -- I never had the chance to see what it was like for myself outside of that, when it was peaceful and safer. I like to think it was a very nice place..."
no subject
"Hmm... sounds much the same as Hyrule, only the monsters have become more active and stronger as of late. It is one of the reasons we suspect Calamity Ganon's return to be very soon."
She frowned at this, remembering that Dust had no idea what or who the being is. Aside from the usual reasons.
"Honeatly, I do not know what the future holds, but it sadly looks fairly bleak. "
