Arrival: Multiple Prompts [OPEN]

Who: Zelda and your character!
What: Getting acquainted shenanigans and anime tropes
When: Arrival
Where: Multiple locations
Warnings: None at the moment but please mark CW if needed.

1: The Red Spring

A: When the new arrivals reached the resort town, some were pretty tired. Zelda was one of those who was extremely exhausted as she was not used to traveling this much. She desperately needed to rest. So, when she checked in to her inn room, she didn’t even complain or see who her roommate was before plopping unceremoniously onto her twin sized bed and passing out. She would awaken a couple hours later to meet said roommate and be very confused and probably a little embarrassed.

She would also be quite intrigued by the various technological marvels, examining them like an overexcited puppy and wanting to test all of them them out. Though the video games may cause a friendly rivalry if she is challenged.

B: [Incoming Anime Trope! RIP Zelda's Dignity] After a most likely very awkward exchange between Zelda and her roommate, she decided to go investigate The Red Spring. The beauty and majesty of it reminded her of the Spring of Power and Spring of Courage that she had spent many long hours in prayer. However, there was something different about this one. It didn’t evoke anxiety in her. Instead she had more of a sense of peace. As she was still a bit tired, and she knew there was still a very long journey to the final destination, the rumors she had heard about the Spring having restorative and temporary energy enhancement properties lured her in.

So, she did exactly what she would have in her own world (though she would probably have soldiers standing guard), found the most secluded space and undressed (what are swimsuits? And It’s not like the prompt specified that they were provided.), laying her clothing out neatly on some flat rocks. Zelda waded into the Spring, immediately feeling the rejuvenating and relaxing effects. She may have relaxed a bit too much and neglected to pay attention to her surroundings. So should someone stumble upon her, she would probably die of mortification. Unless someone was courteous enough to help her out with this?

C: It also may have been possible that in her relaxation Zelda could have lost track of time and before she knew it, it was sunset and the Spring lit up in a bright red hue, evoking a feeling of panic in the princess. Yup, it also happened to be a full moon that night. Would she be able to return to shore before the water’s unpredictable effects got to her? And what if she wasn’t as alone as she thought

D: If she hasn’t died of mortification the night before, Zelda would have gone to the training grounds, early in the morning before departure, in hopes of discovering what type of magic she had been granted. Though a little hesitant, as magic had been a somewhat sore subject for her, her entire life, she would like to assist someone with their own training. She would probably be quite shocked if she received praise for her efforts as she had only received negative reinforcement from her father thus far.

2. Eat Well

A: The amount of food at the banquet would be astonishing to Zelda, even as she had been to many banquets before. And the tastes! How different than anything she had eaten back home. As much as she would want to indulge, she also had manners and would take a modest helping of the things she would like to try most and set out to one of the open spaces at the long banquet tables.

Perhaps she would meet a new acquaintance and hit it off well enough that they would be acceptable roommates? After all, living alone in a strange place would be pretty lonely.

3. Grail, and Grail and Grail Again?

A: If she hadn’t found a questing partner or group already, Zelda would be just stubborn enough to try to attempt the quest on her own. Of course it wouldn’t be surprising if she ended up getting herself into trouble with some beast or another and needs to be rescued by a friendly stranger? She’s not really the best fighter.

Wildcard!
A: Feel free to start your own top level with any other shenanigans you would like to have with Zelda!

((Hoping I did this right!))

"Thanks," he said, turning the chair so he could face her and lean across the back, his plate on the table to one side of him. "Need a friendly ear? Best thing about telling such corny jokes is that when someone needs to stalk they know that I'm all ears."

If one fails to land, that's fine. He's got others.

"Among other things," he said with an easy smile. "I am a bard, bak home, and here as well, I suppose. As for joining them, I intend to, but not yet. This is their stage, always let the home team shine before you join them. At least, I find it to be a generally bright idea."

"I'd love to! Maybe just out on the balcony so I don't upstage them?" he offered. He was smiling brightly. He loved performing and making people happy.

He hadn't quite intended one, but he could have made it work, using something as high as a balcony as a stage to avoid upstaging and all. Ah well, missed opportunities.

"A pleasure to meet you, Zelda. I am Donovan Deegan." he stood and offered her a hand.

He chuckled. "On my world a handshake is this, my hand out like this, you match it, then we clasp hands and lightly shake. It is a greeting of sorts as well as an indication of agreement."

He shook her hand, then let it go. Then he nodded. "We do that in some parts of my world as well. "I am happy to share stories, songs, and whatever else would delight you." He gave her a warm smile. That was the job of a bard, after all. And of a decent person traveling abroad.
