A - Hungry For More [Network]
[Honestly, the experimental cloning magic seemed like an interesting way to produce more food, especially given all that has happened and the sudden shortage of food. So when a video of a certain “food hack” appears, Tokoyami can’t help but be a little curious to try it. It seems simple enough...]

[However, when the network feed opens up, the video shows a rather disgruntled Tokoyami, standing in his small kitchen. Behind him? An absolute mountain of apples, enough to almost take over the whole space. Every so often, a few of the apples shake and split into two, creating more apples.]

[Tokoyami just looks done.]

If anyone is thinking of trying that viral video of the food replicating… perhaps try something else. I can’t seem to get rid of these apples fast enough.

If someone could help me deal with them, I would greatly appreciate it.

[Dark Shadow pops out from one end of the apple pile, shadowy tears in his glowing eyes.]

Heeelp! Too many apples!!

B - Magic Flu
[Tokoyami had heard there was a flu going around, and had done his best to not catch anything. However, over the course of a few days, Tokoyami begins to feel the onset of symptoms, and before he knows it, he’s undeniably sick.]

[Unfortunately for him (and those around him), it seems as though he has caught the magical variant of the flu. He learns this one night when he has a bad sneezing fit, and his Animal Magic goes absolutely haywire. It’s then that he realizes that he is in desperate need to see a healer to get this sorted.]

[He’ll be on his way to see a healer, but as he makes his way down the street, he’ll be overcome with sneezes along the way, which makes his Animal Magic trigger each time. A sneeze, and he turns into a badger. Another sneeze, and he turns into a bat. A third sneeze, and he’s suddenly a giant panda. A fourth sneeze, and he’s an otter.]

[Hopefully he doesn’t accidentally stumble into your path while in animal form, but knowing his current luck, he just might.]

C - The Floor Is Lava
[The building project seemed like a good place to help out others and get the refugees of Celliwig and Lestari back on their own feet. As an aspiring hero, Tokoyami felt compelled to help in some way, hence why he was here offering his assistance with building the homes. Unfortunately, someone decided it would be fun to turn the ground into lava… fake magic lava, but lava nonetheless.]

[Fortunately for those working with Tokoyami, he’s able to put his magic to good use here. His most obvious way of helping is to transform into a barn owl and fly overhead, letting out a little screech to help guide others over to safe platforms or to help reach hanging ropes. If the objective is too far away, he’ll transform back and use his Dark Magic to manipulate the shadows around them to grab nearby planks of wood and arrange little bridges for people to go across. But he does let out a little huff.]

This is all fun, but it does make the process of building these homes a little difficult.

[ With Tokoyami's direction, Gizmoduck is able to make it over to the table. He's not quite able to jump without a bit of speed, so instead he creates a gust of wind to push him forward to make it to the sofa, then uses his extendo-arms to haul himself onto the support beam.

As he pulls himself up, he looks towards Tokoyami, and then to the closest building. ] Do you see anything from there?

[blackabyss]

[Tokoyami lets out a little caw, before taking wing once more. He has to circle around a few times before he can find something, but eventually he does see something; another support beam that, if climbed upon, leads to a lava-less section of the house. Tokoyami caws loudly and flaps his wings, trying to get Gizmoduck's attention.]

[doctorintern]

[ The commotion does get Gizmoduck's attention, and seeing where the other hero was indicating he fires his grappling hook at the beam to haul him up.

Once he was there, he could just make out something glowing further into the house. ] I think there's something in here!

[blackabyss]

[Excellent! He and Gizmoduck seem to work pretty well together! Tokoyami is just proud to be able to help out his fellow hero.]

[When Gizmoduck settles, Tokoyami allows the magic to fade and he resumes his true form. Looking down the way the older hero is motioning, he nods.]

I can see it too. Let's go!

[doctorintern]

[ With a nod of his own, they head into the house and follow the glow of light. Eventually they come across a circle of candles, their flames glowing a bright red very similar to the lava. ]

That must be it. [ He can't help hesitating for a moment. It couldn't really be that easy, could it? ]

[blackabyss]

[Following after Gizmoduck, Tokoyami is prepared for any hardship that may face them, even preparing his magic in case they need it. But as they approach the circle of candles, even Tokoyami pauses.]

...is that truly it? It seems a little anticlimactic...

[doctorintern]

It does. [ With a frown, Gizmoduck circles around the candles for a moment. ] Perhaps they're cursed somehow? Or protected if we try to break the circle?

[ ...well, only one way to find out. ]

All right, I'm going to go ahead and blow them out. [ He holds up his hands, ready to create a gust of wind to blow them out all at once. ] Just be prepared in case something happens.

[blackabyss]

Hmm... such rituals could be disrupted in such a way, so that makes sense.

[Tokoyami nods.]

Alright. I will be ready to assist in any way I can, sir.

[doctorintern]

[ With a nod of his own, Gizmoduck takes a breath before performing the spell, creating a gust of wind that puts out the flames as it passes by.

And then...nothing. ]

...Huh. I guess that was really it?

[blackabyss]

...huh. Is that it?

[Tokoyami looks around. Was... that really all that was needed?]

[doctorintern]

[ Gizmoduck looks around with a frown. The glowing through the building seems to have stopped as well, but that can't really be all there is, could it?

Curious, he rolls over to a nearby window and looks out. ]

...oh.

[blackabyss]

[Tokoyami is looking over the broken candles, and the lack of glowing. Huh... Everything seems so quiet now... Was that truly it?]

[He looks up at Gizmoduck, head tilting before he makes his way over to look out the window.]

What is it?

[doctorintern]

Well...it looks like we took care of the lava around...this building. [ He gestures to the window, and indeed, the lava around the immediate area of the building was gone.

But it was a small area of clear ground surrounded by more lava from the nearby structures. ]

It appears there are multiple points of magic that the lava is generating from.

[blackabyss]

[Well, that's a good thing! Though, looking at the other buildings, Tokoyami deflates a little.]

Oh. I see...

[Once again, WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A FUN IDEA. But he takes a steadying breath and nods.]

Well, then I suppose we have our work cut out for us, don't we sir?

[doctorintern]

[ Running a hand over his face, he nods. ]

Seems so. [ He already feels tired just looking at how many structures they'd probably have to take care of, but he still manages a small smile as he turns to Tokoyami. ] Ready?

[blackabyss]

[A hero's work was never done, was it? Then again, this was what Tokoyami signed up for. He nods to Gizmoduck.]

[ With another nod, Gizmoduck fires his grappling hook out of the window, letting it pull him towards the closest structure that needed taking care of. ]
