Autumn, despite the chillier weather, is a season of warmth and gathering. Perhaps moreso this year than normal, given the rather unplanned gathering of Celliwig and Lestari underneath Camelot's roofs. Though significant contributions from otherworlders have made food, shelter, clothes and other productions and donations, medical care, security and protection, and childcare an amazing group effort, typical individual celebrations for the departure of the dead from Avalon aren't being held, like Lestari's Death Ball. After looking at all the support they've been given, Lestari and Celliwig have looked at what they have to offer to help both their own people and the people of Camelot and other worlds.

Prompt banner title: Worrigami

The people of Lestari excel in cognitive magic, and while there are those who use it for mind-altering magics, there is a good portion who dedicate their studies to emotional and psychological support. One such method is the enchantment of origami paper into something affectionately called Worry Monsters: an specialized counseling technique used to help form support bonds between people with negative emotions. Having spent a portion of the month enchanting paper, two square sheets of paper are handed out to anyone the encounter.

The first paper says:
"Personifying your emotions can give them a tangible form and make them easier to face. Write down something that causes you worry, stress, fear, or sadness. This is your Worry Monster."

The second paper says:
"When your Worry Monster is present, how does it make you feel? Any reaction is valid."

 dragon origami

When both papers are written on, the writing on both will disappear as if absorbed by the paper, then the pages will animate and fuse, then begin to fold into a monster! Halloween is this month, is it not? There is no sense in not having a little fun.

These little Worry Monsters will stomp off and begin roaming Camelot until they find a match-- someone who shares those feelings. Once they find an emotional matching Worry Monster, the monsters will return to their creator and grow to the size of kaiju. They are very light, enchanted paper, so even if someone or something gets stepped on, they won't be hurt or damaged. However, they are strong enough to pick their makers up and carry them to the matching monster who will do the same. Don't worry-- characters will be invisible while being carried by their monster, so their identities will be protected until they are brought to their match. The paper monster will turn to butterflies and fly away once their task is complete.

What matches do after they are brought to each other is up to them-- but they will know, undoubtedly, that they share the same worries-- they are with someone who understands. Do it as many times as you'd like, for as many negative emotions as your character wants.

Prompt banner title: Accursed Thanks

For finding something to do, Celliwig offers a solution. While Lestari's people have spent their efforts this month enchanting papers, the people of Celliwig are less apt to share so openly. Instead, they take their time learning about a variety of holidays from other worlds, and come to find one they can apply their particular talents to. While most of their showcase in the past has been on light magic, a holiday such as Halloween plays in particular to their talents in dark magic. A number of locations that have opted in and won't interfere with other relief efforts have been enchanted with dark magics for brave souls to venture into and test their courage! What's more, each of these locations will yield tokens for the victors that can be used to gain prizes. All courage tests must be performed with partners. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

The library has been converted into a haunted art gallery, many of which have had their paints and other implements enchanted. Some paintings will seem like they're watching you, others will seem like a small figure in the background is following you throughout the library in different paintings.

A painting of fruit may start throwing the fruit at you and materializing it into real fruit, so you may find yourself pelted with tomatoes if you don't run fast! A single painting filled with black paint might start leaking and filling the room you're in,
pulling you into shadow until you're stuck in the library's underground labyrinth. (Reference monthly quests here and here for more info about the labyrinth.)

There are a variety of paintings with different curses applied. Navigate through the library and escape the haunted paintings-- pairs who make it through without turning back will gain a Celliwig Token.

Another token can be gained via scavenger hunt in the Broceliande. Find cursed dolls from within tree hollows. The dolls will giggle and try to run away, may move when they're only visible in the corner of your eye if you set them down. What's perhaps a little spookier is that they take on the appearance of the first person to touch them, though they will never exceed three inches in height.

Beware during your search, however, as there are a good many trees that have been transfigured into mimics. Though the mimics are not going to attack anyone, they do have giant hidden, wriggling tongues that will reach up and wrap the unalert up above the ground for capture. The only way down is if a partner fights the mimic, so don't go alone!

Find a doll of both you and a partner and make it back to Camelot to obtain your token. The curse will break once they're exchanged for a token, so you can keep the cute little doll for yourself if you'd like.

a blindfolded blonde ladyThe last test of courage invokes a temporary blindness hex on one of the partners. Both partners are walked into a soundproofed room, entirely silent in a way that truly seems to mess with one's head.

The unblinded partner is only allowed to answer "yes" or "no" questions, though no one will fault them for giggling as long as they give no clues otherwise. The blind partner is to stick their hands into a tank of water with mystery items hidden within. These items may be mere objects like peeled grapes in soggy noodles, or perhaps the tank is filled with chicken bones and those tiny garra that eat dead cells and are sometimes used for pedicures. All the items are set up to feel spooky, but ultimately are unharmful. As long as the partner who can give clues doesn't break the yes/no rules and the item is guessed within 3 guesses, a token will be rewarded!

Bring tokens to the inn where a stall has been set up, with Gwion working the booth to exchange tokens for the following prizes:
  • 1 Token: Celliwig glasswork glass set of 4-- spooky themed! It's filled with candy upon receiving, so they are friendly for everyone.

  • 2 Tokens: Recipe: Smokescreen - Cast this spell on any liquid to make it billow plumes of fog. The smaller the water surface, the smaller the billow. A shot glass might just create a small whisp, but two mop buckets would be enough to fill up a medium room. Will not effect the contents of the liquid. Cannot be used on water bodies larger than a swimming pool (could screen about half a block).

  • 3 Tokens: Recipe: From the Void - Summons a disembodied tentacle from the shadows. It takes a lot of energy, so you could probably manage up to three casts a day at most before becoming exhausted. Great for binding enemies, sneaking in small spaces, and reaching places you might not be able to otherwise. The tentacle will follow whatever command you have in mind upon summoning, so be sure to concentrate on the task at hand!

Uraraka Ochako | My Hero Academia (Elemental/Kinetic)

[personal profile] floatsaway 2021-10-21 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
i. Worrigami

[In all honesty, something like this is pretty unfamiliar territory for Ochako. It's just not part of her routine, even if of course therapy and helpful ways to cope do exist in her world. They just haven't really been...presented to her all that much. And of course she has her own (very bad) ways of coping with things as well - mostly compartmentalizing them. Not...good. Not at all good, and she's somewhat aware. Only a little, though enough so that she's deciding to give this a shot. Mostly because this poor girl has quite a few worries she would love to get rid of, or at least deal with far better than she has been.

Besides, origami is a really relaxing art form, and of course Ochako knows how to fold paper. E-Even if the paper she's working on is supposedly going to fold itself. She's a bit wary of the 'monster' part of this whole ordeal, being a bit of a frady-cat when it comes to spooks and specters, but...she's dealt with enough here already to be a little conditioned to it. Kind of. Either way, she actually has to mull over what her worries are, chewing her lip and taking a deep breath before writing down a few words on the paper:

Failure - I feel angry, sad, disappointed. Like I could have, SHOULD have done more. It makes me feel guilty...
Weakness - I need to be stronger. People look down on me because of how I appear, or how I act. I don't want to change who I am, but I want people to believe in what I can do.
Money - Not for me. I want to make sure the people I care about can be happy, not stressed, or worrying about what to eat, or bills, or whatever. I want to work hard to support them.
Being forgotten - I'm scared. It's almost been a year since I arrived. How long will I stay here? Will I grow old in this world? What if my family doesn't recognize me? What if people leave all over again? What if I'm the only one left? I'm so scared...

And once she's finished the last word, depserately tempted to scribble it out, the words all vanish, the papers snap out of her hands and mesh together, moving and twisting and folding up into a different shape. A paper fox appears and dashes away, presumably to find its match. Ochako doesn't really...know what to do now. She's anxious, nervous, a little bit sick and shaky. This isn't something she's used to - talking about her worries so openly. She usually keeps them to herself - that's how she lived her life. Don't be a burden to anyone else, don't lay your problems onto the shoulders of others. Be silent and endure. That's how her culture is. So when she's scooped up by her now massive little worry monster, she's...doubly scared. Doubly scared and nervous and sick to admit all her flaws and fears and worries and weaknesses and--

Perhaps this wasn't a good idea.]

ii. Picture Perfect - Haunted Art

[WHO IN THE HECKIE DECKIE THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?!

Ochako really didn't know what she expected being ushered into a haunted art galley by some overzealous people from Celliwig - perhaps mages who wanted to show off their skill a bit - but here she is and by god, she is not happy about it. Probably given that the poor thing is clawing and whimpering and trying to yank the handle of the door clean off when it's closed behind her and whoever she got paired up with.

Why? Why ghosts? Why HAUNTED?? Just...why?

After a bit (a lot) of coaxing, Ochako will brave this haunted art gallery to the best of her abilities, but boy howdy she is on edge. When eyes in paintings follow her, she whimpers, when shadows or pictures move in the corners of the frames, she scuttles closer to her partner. The worst of the worst being that one famous painting quite literally screaming the moment anyone passes it by - as if being able to detect motion. The hideous yowl makes ochako shriek, and her kinetic magic activates as well. Like a cat with a cucumber, poor Ochako literally yeets herself into the air, covering her face and maybe crying a little.

She hates this shit, okay?? Did not sign up for it. A-At least it's harmless...f-for her, anyway. When a sculpture moves to tap her on the shoulder and say a soft "boo", Ochako howls and just fucking clocks it with in the jaw.

Attempt to calm her own or ugly laugh at her distress, this is quite literally more entertaining than the exhibit, really.]

iii. Roll a Dex Save - Cursed Dolls

[Okay, so...this is creepy, but in a very Uncanny Valley sort of way. When Ochako first grasped one of the dolls needed to complete the task, it suddenly sprung to life and attempted to bite her, all while taking on her visage. Of course she let out a yelp and released the little thing, watching it scurry away, giggling like a mad thing. It's so bizarre and creepy, but not to the point where Ochako can't chase after the darned thing. Cursed dolls are definitely a thing in her mythos, but so long as it doesn't start getting, erm...n-nailed to anything, she might be okay! HOPEFULLY!!! Not gonna think too hard about it. 8Db

Either way, Ochako thinks she's cornered her little dolly between a cropping of fused trees, keeping herself low and arms out, lunging forward to grab it--]

I've got yo--oooohhhEEEEHH?!

[The tree sudden;y comes alive and Ochako's world is turned topsy-turvy. A root from the tree-mimic curls around her ankle suddenly and up the girl goes, squealing and struggling to free herself. This sort of thing wouldn't be all that horrible, really, but Ochako decided to dress up, of course. Because if there's ever and opportunity to do so, she's usually going to take it. Ochako doesn't get the chance to doll (no pun intended) herself up much, so when opporunity comes knocking, she's the first to open the door.

This time, however, it's come to bite her in the ass a bit, because while her outfit was rather adorable, it was still a dress. Ochako curses, loudly and rather uncharacteristically, and holds the skirt of her dress in place, trying to kick at the root holding her ankle with her free leg.]

[A haunted gallery, huh?]

[Yeah, sure, why not. He's avoiding the worrigami as it is after watching some folks get carried around by them; why not deal with potential specters? And he just gives a grin and a thumbs up to Uraraka - like the last time they interacted wasn't a big deal. And to him, it really wasn't - they talked about this at the tournament and all.]

[Though, maybe she's not even thinking about that? They're not that far in and there's be a lot of... moving on her side. Around him, behind, whimpering - sure, that shriek makes his fur rise, but he's more startled by the fact she just up and shoots into the air.]

Uraraka, it's not that bad! Come back down!

[To be honest, Ochako is...definitely a bit uncomfortable going around with Zidane, but she did know he was a thief, at the least. They did talk about it - that if she caught him doing anything illegal, she'd put her best foot forward to stop him. That was a sort of pseudo-agreement they had between one another. Still, it doesn't make everything right, either. Her own bias is deeply rooted in her head, born from a society that looks down upon those that do evil as something needing to be corrected or downright eliminated - scrubbed clean from the world and kept away from the light of day forever. Literally. Maximum security prisons for actual supervillains exist in Ochako's world, after all. But even those suspected of villainy get the short end of the stick in terms of being looked down upon.

Thankfully, however, Ochako's phobia weighs a bit (read: a lot) more than her bias, and Zidane is the only 'friendly' face around in this godawful place full of spooks. Beggars can't be choosers and she will mcfucking take what she can get. But not even whining and holding a part of his shirt keeps the fear at bay. Once she's gone off the deep end, whirling through the air and holding her hands over her eyes, sobbing deeply, Ochako doesn't care who or what she ends up with, so long as she can get out of here.]

Nooo!! If I come down, bad things will get me! I hate this dumb place, I hate scary things, I didn't want to do this, the mages made me!! [;A; weh]
tantailizing: Artwork by: Unknown (subject to change) (Not bad at all)

[personal profile] tantailizing 2021-10-23 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[She might need to ask which was actually the evil in the world... later when she's not getting freaked out constantly by their gallery here. Zidane watches her float around for a moment, raising his hands soon enough and shaking his head. He doesn't get why ghosts are so scary to people, but most worlds either don't have ghosts, they were only superstition, or encounters weren't common.]

Well... if being down means 'bad things' happen, then we'll just continue up here.

[And he just... drifts off the ground to join her. Reaching out, he'll take hold of one of her hands, sending her a smile.]

And let's at least go the right direction. See? Can't be scared by the paintings if we're not in front of them.
floatsaway: (68)

[personal profile] floatsaway 2021-10-24 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[Eventually, she might... It all depends on what the future holds, and how she'll rise to meet it. Sort of like she's rising in this case, but not quite to meet the challenge head on. Oh no, Ochako is much...more comfortable in the air, oddly enough. There's not any scary shit up here!! ...Even if the fear mixed with her kinetic magic is making her tummy gurgle pretty badly. Stress and anxiety don't seem to play nicely with Ochako's magical side-effects. She's keeping herself together pretty well despite that, though.

Ochako blinks as one of her hands is tugged away from her face and held, and...ugh. She feels really, really dumb. Embarrassed, and it shows by how she ducks her head and turns red around the face. She can deal with so many actually scary and dangerous things, but a few dumb magic tricks and haunted attractions make her freeze up. It's so fucking dumb.]

...Yeah. Y-Yeah, okay. M'not sure how long I can keep off the ground, but, um. I-I think the worst stuff's probably gonna be closer to the end, so let's go. I don't like this kinda stuff. At all.
tantailizing: Artwork by: Unknown (A little trouble)

[personal profile] tantailizing 2021-10-24 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't worry about it~ When you're ready to get down, we'll go back down.

[For now, it was just drifting forward, his tail maybe dusting over a frame which he has to look at. Ew, dusty. This place hasn't been up that long and it's already like that? Gosh.]

Everyone's scared of something. It's pretty cute; I don't know a lot of people scared by ghosts.

[If there's anything he can try doing that he does best, it's distracting her through other means.]
floatsaway: (134.)

[personal profile] floatsaway 2021-10-26 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ochako makes a face, not quite sure how much she likes being called "cute" for her fear of ghosts. It's really not cute at all, she thinks. It's stupid, and a major weakness of hers that feels like it plainly shouldn't exist. She's good at fighting people, even people with quirks that are pretty damn scary, but those are always explained away by said quirks - something familiar, something she can rationalize.]

It's not cute... [She huffs, floating them carefully past a few mobiles that bend and twist at unnatural angles, thankfully missing how a piece of the mobile attempts to grab at her ankle as she moves past.] It's stupid - I know I can fight them, I've had to when things really got serious a few times in past, but... Things I can't explain easily always catch me off guard a little bit. Before coming here, there's no way I could have fought a ghost or something...
tantailizing: Artwork by: Unknown (subject to change) (Having to actually think)

[personal profile] tantailizing 2021-10-27 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
[And unlike Ochako, Zidane notices the mobiles trying to interrupt their little floating 'tour' of the ghost gallery. So it's a hell of a deal to make sure they either spin away or let go with a little of his own magic before sh realizes. Like, c'mon guys, she's scared enough - the fun's over when she's not having anymore fun.]

See, that's the thing. You can fight them here. If you can't fight them at all, I get why they'd be scary. I'm sure if you threatened one or two, they'd get it to knock it off.
floatsaway: (25)

[personal profile] floatsaway 2021-10-28 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[Was this supposed to be fun? Maybe for certain people wanting to chase a few thrills, but this kind of entertainment is totally lost on Ochako. Rollercoasters are fun!! Sparring is fun!!! Ghosts? Ghosts and getting scared by ghosts is not fun.]

I know I can fight them, and I have before, but...it still doesn't get any easier. There's always a second I freeze up, or I hesitate, and I just...I can't afford to do that. [Not when any second means life or death in her field of work. Not just for herself, but for her partners, or for innocent people. Heroes can't hesitate. They can't stop moving. It's already cost her once, where here inactivity meant...S-Sir Nighteye...] ...I hate it. I hate that I can't get over that dumb fear. I don't know why it bothers me, either! It just...it just does.

[She sighs, and starts to sort of drift a little lower, as her magic picks up on her mood and she starts to drift them ever closer toward the ground.]
tantailizing: Artwork by: Yuffie (maybe) (Huuu?)

[personal profile] tantailizing 2021-10-28 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
... You know, sometimes, you sound like you're really hard on yourself, and I don't get it. [Because sometimes, freezing up or hesitating in a battle could be a good thing. Running into things and continuing to do so doesn't always work out - and it could make it worse.]

Eh, I can't tell you that. But I'm kind of wondering if you're scared of ghosts... or something else.

[Because it doesn't sound like just ghosts either. And as she begins to drift down, he follows along, making sure to have his feet beneath him once they're close enough.]
floatsaway: (120.)

[personal profile] floatsaway 2021-11-03 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
[Her smile is frayed, weak, and definitely doesn't reach her eyes. Zidane doesn't understand - Ochako cannot afford to hesitate. She doesn't have the luxury of being able to not act. Her body has to move.]

I--...it's not about me. [Ochako sighs, feeling the weight fall down on her shoulders and by now her feet touch the ground with Zidane in tow.] My job for the future - being a Hero, specifically a rescue Hero - means I have to always be there for people in danger and who need to be saved. If I'm scared, how can I expect the people I'm helping to feel they can rely on me? How can I be a comforting presence to them in a time where they're feeling scared?

If I hesitate, even for just a second out of fear, if I don't move...someone could die. It's so easy in my world, too. Disasters caused by rogue or uncontrolled quirks, villain attacks, or just natural disasters put people in danger. I have to be hard on myself, because...b-because-- [Ochako looks down at her hands, which are trembling. She smells blood, sees blood, feels the weight of a body slowing sinking into death heavy in her arms. He was right there. She was holding him in her arms.] ...S-Sorry. I really dragged the mood down a lot, huh? Just forget about it. L-Let's have some fun instead!!

[Eventually, the fox returns to her, plucking her up off the ground and carrying her to what appears to be a large dove. Upon its back is Garnet, looking just as apprehensive as Ochako.

Fortunately, Garnet doesn't let the silence extend for too long, thinking to at least introduce herself to keep things from getting too awkward. They know why they're here in a loose sense, but not precisely what the match was.]

Ah... hello. My name is Garnet til Alexandros XVII, but you may also call me Dagger if you prefer. It would seem your fox has found itself a kindred spirit in my dove...

[Up Ochako goes, squeaking slightly before she's put onto her paper fox's back, riding it carefully. It's really nerve-wrecking, and she doesn't know what to do while people mill about as her Worry Monster just waltzes through the city proper, gently stepping over buildings and people alike. She hates it, people are looking up at the fox and Ochako ducks her head on sheer reflex, despite knowing she's invisible so long as she's upon it. It just feels so...exposing. She's not used to letting her thoughts and feelings out, let alone the things that worry her. It's not part of her culture at all. One's burdens are theirs alone to bear, most of the time, as stupid as it seems. And as much as Ochako herself would help anyone to keep smiling.

As the dove flutters down from above, she's momentarily taken to how pretty it is, even for a bit of origami. Only when she sees the person she's to meet does Ochako withdraw a little bit again, hunching her shoulders and looking...very put upon. Awkward, anxious, nervous...everything.]

Eh...um, h-hello. I'm Uraraka Ochako...b-but you can call me Ochako-chan, if you want. Dagger-san. Ehehe, I-I suppose so, though, um...I'm r-really not sure what to really do now? I-I've never done something like this before, actually.

[It's an interesting reversal, really. Allura is no stranger to wearing dresses — but for her costume, she's chosen an Arabian outfit like a sort of genie, which means she's wearing pants to the scavenger hunt.]

[On the other hand, it gives her immense sympathy for Ochako's specific predicament. So, when she hears the shout and turns to see the girl in distress, it's enough to make Allura abandon her pursuit of another doll.]

Hold on! I'll get you down!

[How, though? Allura doesn't carry any sort of weapon with a blade that could cut through a thick tree root. So instead, she draws her bayard weapon, a handle which she quickly transforms into a long whip — and she swings it up, letting it wrap around a high part of the root. From there she starts trying to pull it back down to earth, like a game of tug-of-war.]

Let go of her, you rotten tree...!

[personal profile] floatsaway 2021-10-30 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[Honestly, Ochako should know better and wear shorts or some thick tights under her skirts and dresses, and she usually does, but this time she opted for some shin-high boots instead. Clearly a mistake that bit her in the proverbial ass...and not one she'll repeat any time soon after this, definitely. Even if the bloomers under the dress are part of the costume, it's still not really something she wants people to see, thank you very much!! At least she's able to keep parts of that ploofy dress bunched up with one hand to not expose herself too much, and is kicking or clawing away with her other hand at the root holding her up.]

Don't make me turn you to a--eh?

[Who is that? Ochako doesn't know this woman, but anyone willing to help is a friend in her book!! The doll of Ochako's is hiding behind the trunk of this "tree" and giggling quietly, wickedly, watching the scene unfold with manic delight. Creepy...

The actual girl squeaks and moves her hands away when...whatever that weapon is is fired at her, curling in slightly into herself and--oh!! It's like a grappling hook? Thing??]

Th-Thank you!! [She's not out of the woods yet, but still best to show some gratitude here. The root is bending, groaning with the effort to pull back against the now two girls fighting it.]

[ A cubus-shaped worrigami monster looms over her in time, depositing an irritated man of thirty years at her feet. Said man glares at the paper thing but it bursts into a swarm of butterflies and disappears. As they dissipate, his attention turns to the girl he's been matched with. ]

Who are you?

[ Wow. Rude, isn't he? ]

[Thank god these things are made of paper and slightly stylized, because Ochako may have fallen off her own Worry Monster in abject horror at the sight of that particular creature. Though, in all fairness, the butterflies definitely take a hint of that edge of and--......it's back again. :')

Ochako'd already been hesitant about all this to begin with, but staring up at a very irate adult definitely makes her shrink a little bit more into herself. But at least she offers a nervous but polite smile and slight incline on her head and shoulders in a mock bow.]

U-Uraraka Ochako... That's my name. [She presses her lips together.] Nice to...meet you?
emet_sulk: (25 look at you)

busy week I'm sorry for the wait!!

[personal profile] emet_sulk 2021-11-03 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[ In the end, her name doesn't really matter to him. Especially not if she's mortal like all the rest. He'll probably end up forgetting who she is in a century. Which is rather ironic considering what he had just written down, isn't it? ]

No. No, what I mean is: who are you? A student? A child? Or heavens forbid, another would-be hero?
floatsaway: (77.)

[personal profile] floatsaway 2021-11-06 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ah...hah. Ochako's smile twitches at the corners, threatening to turn sour, especially toward the tail end of what this guy said. Oh boy, has he met with Bakugou, probably? If he's got an opinion like that...]

Well, I'm a little bit of everything you said, sir, but I'd like to think I'm not necessarily a child. [Still a kid, though. She's only just encroaching on 17 come the end of December, after all.] A student, and, um...y-yes, I am also a Hero in training back in my world...ehehe. I-I can only assume you've met with my classmate, Bakugou-kun. I-I promise he's not as bad as he appears to be when you first meet him. He's actually very smart, and really sweet in his own, um...v-very particular way.

But, eh...I'm sorry for whatever trouble he may have caused in the past. [And Ochako bows a bit more formally this time, leaning forward so her waist is bent a bit.]
emet_sulk: (25 look at you)

[personal profile] emet_sulk 2021-11-08 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Well. This one definitely seems to share Midoriya's maturity at least. (Still mortal, still a child in his eyes though.)

He heaves an aggravated sigh and closes his eyes for a moment to compose himself. He's slightly less aggressive when he next addresses her. ]

You and he and his friend are all fellow students then?
floatsaway: (51)

[personal profile] floatsaway 2021-11-11 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, it's an improvement!! Ochako would rather deal with someone who's slightly less aggressive than downright hostile. She's almost certain now that he's had a bit of an up and down with her blond classmate, hence the initial "ugh" reaction to her ilk. Bakugou's not the, uh...great ambassador to their Hero society.]

Mm, that's right. We're all in the same class together back in our world. Do you know my friends, sir? I'm afraid I haven't heard of you from them.
emet_sulk: (76 Poison hmm?)

[personal profile] emet_sulk 2021-11-11 01:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Hmm. No. He can't imagine those two boys telling their friend that they're casual acquaintances of the mass-murderer currently standing before her. ]

...I gave some lessons to-- Midoriya, was it? His friend, on the other hand, had an annoying habit of showing up whilst I was occupied with other tasks. It wasn't until some moons later that I realised they were acquainted.

[ Maybe he should let them be the ones to...explain everything else to her. ]
floatsaway: (88.)

[personal profile] floatsaway 2021-11-15 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Perhaps it's for the best. Ochako would have words for them all, no doubt. For the time being, however, she's trying to be on her best behavior during...all of this weirdness. It's odd enough she has to deal with her worries - let alone share them with a stranger who seems to be Not In The Mood™.]

Mm, yes, those two are very close. [She sighs a little, unable to really hide the sound, or the droop of her shoulders, but is quick to move on.] What sorts of things were you teaching De--eh, I mean... M-Midoriya, sir? Can you use Alchemy magic, too?
emet_sulk: (19 now listen carefully)

[personal profile] emet_sulk 2021-11-18 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Alchemy, yes. My applications of it differed from his and so he wished for some advice.

[ The addition of, 'He is quite clever,' stays on his tongue. After the spate of murders he had conducted, he has yet to speak to the boy. Who knows if they even want to see him again at this point? Such is a villain's lot in life, he supposes.

...At length, he heaves a sigh. ]

What did you write on your slip of paper, girl?
floatsaway: Gift, please don't take! (183.)

[personal profile] floatsaway 2021-11-22 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
[Knowing Izuku...it's a possibility, but Ochako is a bit different. She hasn't quite reached the point where she's comfortable with villainy of that magnitude - petty theft is one thing, but murder is another. But, perhaps it's a good thing such information was withheld from her - she'd treat this intimidating man very differently than she is right now.

...Which is with a bit of trepidation and forced courtesy. H-Honestly! He's a lot like Endeavor was way back when - scary, kind of an ass, blunt, unapproachable. She literally told this guy her name not five minutes ago, and yet--]

Ah...w-well, a few things, um. Weakness, failure, m-money... [She mutters that one a little quickly, averting her gaze. It's not something she likes to talk about.] And...b-being forgotten. By my friends, and especially my, um...m-my family. I don't want to grow old in this world. I don't want people coming in and looking at me differently, or not recognizing who I am.
