Happy Birthday! U・ﻌ・U
🧙 WHO: Taichi Nanao
arf, Hikaru Hitachiin
irritated, and everybody Hikaru invited.
⚔️️ WHAT: Taichi's birthday party! Everybody be merry.
🕒 WHEN: October 11th
🗺️ WHERE: Party venue
⚠️ WARNINGS: If there is anything that happens, please just warn for it in your comment! But it's a party. Should be nothing.

It is Taichi's 18th birthday and the party is 50s diner themed. Not because Taichi is about to go and join some greasers sort of deal but most of his favorite foods could be found in a diner so why not go with a theme? From the bright red diner tables and the random fake license plates hung around, the setting looks exactly like a 50s diner. There are waiters and waitresses dressed up to play the role, with the girls rolling around on roller skates to refill/replace the basket of fries at every table and offer either soda or water to everybody around. There's party games, music, and more. Random people in business suits that you don't know? Shh, pay it no mind.
MENU
If you want healthy* options? Sorry, you're out of luck. Hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, and any type of soda you can imagine. Dessert? This sweet tooth overload. Check your diet at the door today.
*There is salad.
MUSIC
In the jukebox for a small fee, you can choose among the different songs there are. However, you will not find any oldies but just different rock songs. There are a couple of strange dance songs (what the hell is a salsa slip?) and a slow song in case anybody wants to have a moment. No matter the song you choose, it doesn't really fit with the 50s theme.
GAMES
You know what else doesn't fit the 50s theme? The arcade games. There's games similar to tetris, some type of alien invader looking game, fighting games, some racing games, and some game called Glutton Dude where you just try to eat a lot. However, there is a pinball machine so this isn't entirely anachronistic here.
[note: feel free to do whatever. the sky is truly the limit here.]

Oh... I was being reunited with my parents who I had found out were alive the entire time. And also being moved out of the forest to live with them. As well as meeting the man I was betrothed to for the first time as well.

There is a lot to unpack in that bit she gives away.]
Say all that again? [Aurora's backstory is a lot more complicated than some girl in the woods apparently.
And she's got a fiancee?!]

[Which is true. And he knows that Taichi's busy playing with his friends at the games.]
And you're one of my guests and this is uh. Helpful? For when I help you with your party.

I believe I told you I was raised by my aunts, who are actually fairies? [She clasped her hands behind her back.]
You'll have to indulge me, this tale is likely to sound terribly fanciful to someone so modern. But I was cursed as a baby by a very powerful fae. She had initially intended to murder me with her curse, but my aunt altered it. Even with the curse altered, though, I was in danger. So I was taken to live in the forest for my protection.
However, since the curse wasn't supposed to happen until my sixteenth birthday, that's where I remained. Once my birthday happened, they thought it would be safe to return me to my parents. It was the same day that I learned I was betrothed since birth.
But I've never even met the man.

Your life sounds like some kind of messed up fairy tale. [Heh.] But this guy...you never agreed to it? So it was arranged? Huh. I mean, we still do that in our world. A lot of my classmates already kind of know who they'll marry. It's just part of business. But at least they already know.
[And this also means his ship is not crumbling. Yes.]

[Hikaru is being a terrible conversationalist right now. But this is a lot of revelations??]

To save you from a potential curse, you were moved into the woods with your aunts that were actually fairies? And then on your 16th birthday, you were brought back to your kingdom to marry some guy you never met or knew you had to marry? Am I right?

However, upon returning to the castle, my curse was fulfilled, Maleficent found me and I still pricked my finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and fell into an ageless sleep.
[Why yes, she's sleeping beauty.] But then I was brought here. I thought, at first, this was a dream, a part of Maleficent's curse. But I do not think even she is this powerful.

[He was also very, very normal. Well, in comparison to the rest of the people who had been brought along. No magic or anything. He'd had no explanation.
But wow, Aurora. That's a lot. ]
No wonder you want a better party than your last, though. Want me to call you Princess or is that too awkward for you?
no subject
But thank you for at least asking. Honestly, you and another are the only ones that know. It seems like such an inconsequential thing to mention that I simply do not.
no subject
[He smiles, shrugging.] Here, it doesn't really matter at all, huh? Not like I'm royalty or anything but I do kind of get what you mean. Ah, well~ [He pretends to stretch, being all dramatic about it.] We're just normal people here, Aurora-chan~
no subject
But she reached out and gave his shoulder a gentle squeeze.]
I am glad to be normal though, if it means we can be friends and continue to make more of them.
no subject
He grins.]
Yeah, you're right. [But not wanting to keep it too serious, he jokes:] Miss being rich, though.

[The sap would love it.]
