A. Smashing Pumpkins [Pumpkin Mayhem - Drake/Darkwing]

[At first, Drake Mallard loved the idea of decorating some pumpkins! Nice way to get into the Halloween spirit. So one can join the civilian duck as he paints and/or carves some pumpkins. Of course, most of the designs he uses are based on Darkwing Duck and some of his villains! Join him during the calm before the storm and help him with decorating pumpkins... or when they start to come alive and take the off-duty hero by surprise!

Or later on, after he's made a costume change, Darkwing Duck will do some more patrols of the area and see if anyone else is having any trouble with rogue pumpkins...]

B. Heading Places [Don't Lost Your Head - Darkwing]

[When he hears rumors about the headless horseman, it sounds like a job for Darkwing Duck! ...A particularly scary job, but a job nonetheless!

And so, he ends up showing up to protect some volunteers who are cleaning up bodies in Celliwig. He keeps some distance from the volunteers and watches from the shadows because of his aesthetic. Perhaps someone is staking this out with him, or is one of the volunteers that this duck is trying to protect.

Or skip ahead to when the Headless Horseman makes his entrance, and Darkwing springs into action... starting with his catchphrase, of course!]

C. Beddy or Not [Bunker Down - Drake]

[So what happened at the end of last month sure was depressing! He felt some relief in being able to do his part to help save people from Lestari, but especially as a hero, he feels the punch from all of those that weren't saved elsewhere. So he throws himself into some relief work so that he can do something to help the survivors!

And so Drake can be seen at the woodworking sight, where he tries to help out with constructing some bunk beds. One can catch him in one of several scenarios. Tired out from all of his work, he could end up taking one of the unfinished beds for a trial run by passing out on it. Or he could be seen doing some strange work for one bed, like making the carving of a duck head coming from the foot of a bed, and also several imperfectly-shaped wheels off on the side... is he trying to make a Darkwing Duck racecar bed...?]

D. Wildcard

[ Lordy... Bakugou had literally just said that. They're just shitty gourds. That's all there is to it and there's nothing deeper going on other than that. Not everything that happens has to have some "dastardly plot" behind it or anything of the sort. It's really just grating on Bakugou's nerves that some asshole is playing at hero while clearly having some fantasized version of everything that it entails.

Let's see what this guy does when buildings are collapsing and people are actually dying. When the country is on the verge of collapse and heroes are jumping ship for various reasons. When kids - students - are being called in to help because there's just not enough help to go around.

Then come back and tell Bakugou what it's like to do hero work. ]

Ah huh. Sure you do.

[ So while he drains that one single pumpkin... Bakugou starts to find the others that he's caged up. He starts to round the edges of some of the cages and shrinks them. He's thinking that maybe with a strong enough gust of wind that he can cause them to roll. ]

[And he has confirmed the situation in his own words! He finds it fun to treat everything with a dramatic flair, though there remains much of the life of heroes that is beyond his depth, being so early in his career and being only one of two real superheroes in his world.

But if they're fighting pumpkins, they might as well have fun doing it!]

I think I'm almost done with this guy. Then I'll just have to figure out safely releasing the energy I took from it... Or I can absorb the power! [He exposites aloud while he works on finishing off his pumpkin.]

What would you be absorbing... The ability to make shit come to life when carved up?

[ Because um no. That doesn't sound like an appeasing magical skill to have at the moment. But Bakugou's rolling his eyes and has rounded off the corners to his cages.

So that means he can push them along with a gust of wind. It will tire him out but yeah okay... ]

It's more like I'm absorbing the energy itself than the ability... like moving power from one battery to another! At least that's what I hear. I've always redirected the energy instead of absorbing it, so don't know for sure how it plays out.

[The last thing he wants is to bring more pumpkins to life anyway! In any case, this pumpkin is pretty much drained of its life force now, and as he holds the magical energy in his hands, he looks back towards Bakugou to check up on his progress.]

How are you doing with those ones?

Then I think in this case you're better off just releasing or or redirecting. Experiment with that shit in training.

[ Not in a situation like this where they don't know how it will all play out! ]

Tch. As for me I'm fine. Shit like this isn't going to slow me down.

Well said! That- that does sound like the wise choice when you put it like! Of course, I was already leaning towards doing it this way.

[Darkwing continues to hold the energy harnessed in his hands! Now he just needs a target to send it at.]

You do seem to have a handle on things. Pretty impressive! But actually, while I have this magic on my hands, mind if I lend you an assist? This might just get a little messy!

[ Dude... You're dealing with a guy that has been working to refine his skills with his own powers since he had been about four. Of course he knows a thing or two about how to train to get better. ]

Assist? In what way?

[ because don't blow up the pumpkins or anything like that? ]

[flapsin]

Hear me out! What if I just try... blasting one of the pumpkins with this energy! How does that sound? [They're not actual living beings, so why not just blow up some pumpkins?]

Because we have to return them. The whole point of capturing them is to put them back where they came from!

[ So blasting them isn't really an option? Well, maybe if one of them is more dangerous to keep around than to return, sure. But overall they are being commissioned to bring these things back to the patch. ]

[flapsin]

...Oh right. They do want them captured, don't they. Not 'shattered or alive'.

[A nervous laugh, and then he just releases the magical energy in the ground.]

Okay then, we'll just have to corner and restrain them! I do have some rope on me, and I can get more if needed!

[ And Katsuki is rubbing his face in irritation. This dumb fuck... ]

I have them in cages already. [ Gesturing to all of the ones he created to roll along. ] But that rope... probably can do with that.

[flapsin]

[He just rubs his chin thoughtfully, while he unravels the length of of rope from his coat.]

I see! Yes, it's all getting together now. Well the rope can truly come in handy, just in case any spells wear off! Classic teamwork.

[ Katsuki pops his knuckles. This is really the ultimate test in patience. ]

Cut it into sections to tie the cages together.

[ How could a length of rope possibly hold more than a couple of pumpkins? ]

[flapsin]

[Drake's really not thinking straight today... He must really be feeling leftover nervousness from their last encounter.]

Oh yeah, that's the way to go alright! Let this rope be fashioned into multiple leashes of justice! Now we officially, completely on the same page.

[With that, he starts evenly cutting the rope and gets to work on tying the cages together!]

[ Finally on the same page! Bakugou only has so much patience.

He huffs and gives a tug. The cages roll right along in a straight line. A bit heavy. Might require two people but - ]

Finally. Now we gotta bring these fuckers back.

[ That's a "we" and not a "me." By the way... ]

Indeed, we do!

[Darkwing's just glad to be included. He props his hands on his sides as he says that, and then steps forward to help out with tugging the rope along.]

We'll have these perilous pumpkins back to the proper owner in no time!

[ Which is exactly what happens here. It's a bit of a trip so chances are there's going to be some idle chatter that Bakugou doesn't much care for. He just has to maintain his cool for a bit longer. For as long as it takes them both to drag these things back to the patch.

Once there, Katsuki frees the pumpkins and the caretakers of the patch seem to know what to do from there. He's not sure how they plan on keeping them contained this time around, but whatever.

At least they are getting rewarded, right? Though that's hardly the reason that Katsuki does anything around here. ]
