A. Smashing Pumpkins [Pumpkin Mayhem - Drake/Darkwing]

[At first, Drake Mallard loved the idea of decorating some pumpkins! Nice way to get into the Halloween spirit. So one can join the civilian duck as he paints and/or carves some pumpkins. Of course, most of the designs he uses are based on Darkwing Duck and some of his villains! Join him during the calm before the storm and help him with decorating pumpkins... or when they start to come alive and take the off-duty hero by surprise!

Or later on, after he's made a costume change, Darkwing Duck will do some more patrols of the area and see if anyone else is having any trouble with rogue pumpkins...]

B. Heading Places [Don't Lost Your Head - Darkwing]

[When he hears rumors about the headless horseman, it sounds like a job for Darkwing Duck! ...A particularly scary job, but a job nonetheless!

And so, he ends up showing up to protect some volunteers who are cleaning up bodies in Celliwig. He keeps some distance from the volunteers and watches from the shadows because of his aesthetic. Perhaps someone is staking this out with him, or is one of the volunteers that this duck is trying to protect.

Or skip ahead to when the Headless Horseman makes his entrance, and Darkwing springs into action... starting with his catchphrase, of course!]

I am the terror that flaps in the night!

C. Beddy or Not [Bunker Down - Drake]

[So what happened at the end of last month sure was depressing! He felt some relief in being able to do his part to help save people from Lestari, but especially as a hero, he feels the punch from all of those that weren't saved elsewhere. So he throws himself into some relief work so that he can do something to help the survivors!

And so Drake can be seen at the woodworking sight, where he tries to help out with constructing some bunk beds. One can catch him in one of several scenarios. Tired out from all of his work, he could end up taking one of the unfinished beds for a trial run by passing out on it. Or he could be seen doing some strange work for one bed, like making the carving of a duck head coming from the foot of a bed, and also several imperfectly-shaped wheels off on the side... is he trying to make a Darkwing Duck racecar bed...?]

D. Wildcard

[That snaps him back awake - and clears his mind. He quickly leaps up to his feet.]

Oh hey there Della, I wasn't sleeping not tired at all!

... Smooth.

[ hand to hip, eyebrow raised. ]

Drake, every time I've seen you these past couple of weeks, you look dead on your feet. I don't know what you're doing all the time, but you can't keeping running yourself ragged!

I- I don't know what you're talking about!

[He gives a hollow laugh as he dusts himself off.]

Sure I may have been... uh, having a few late nights and doing a lot of work and all, but... it's not that bad, I swear! And it's all for good pauses. Like all this nice bed-making!

[sos_pilot]

Drake, we live together. Not to mention that after being on the moon for ten years seriously messed up my sleeping schedule since it was hard to tell when day and night were. So I know a "few" late nights has been just about every night! I hear you stumbling around the dark trying to get back inside the house!

[ Hear, but not seen, which is why she's yet to catch the costume... ]

[He really wishes they could have gotten a house with secret passages. It's going to be tricky keeping his secret from this person who wouldn't be negatively impacted by learning his identity at all!]

What can I say? I'm... a night person! But it's fine, it's manageable. I am keeping up! I get in a nice, good, small amount of sleep in the morning, and with the help of my good friend A. Cuppa Joe, I am ready to go! ...Plus a little microsleep here and there, I hear it's really good for keeping one awake!

... If you're passing out in the middle of the day, you're not managing.

[ Sigh, shaking her head. ]

I know it's weird that it's me of all people saying this, but... you're no good to anyone if you're exhausting yourself like this. I know you just want to help, but you can't neglect yourself either! You'll wind up worrying the people who care about you.

[flapsin]

[He sighs as he hangs his head.]

I... I know that. Of course I do! I'm trying to be careful. I just have a lot to do, okay? With everything that happened last month, I want to do everything I can to help out. But I also have other stuff to do too. Darkwing Duck stuff, you know! [A beat.] ...Reporting about him on social media, that is! That's bringing in some good ad revenue. I- I can do all this, I know I can! I just might have to, adjust the balance a little bit.

[sos_pilot]

[ Sigh. It always goes back to DWD, doesn't it? Well, if that's what it takes... ]

Look, I'm sure even Darkwing Duck needs breaks and rests! He doesn't go crime fighting 24/7. I bet if he was here right now, he'd be really worried that his biggest fan is falling apart. Can you picture him talking to you right now?

[flapsin]

Of course he doesn't do it 24/7, he's obviously supposed to operate primarily under the cover of nigh! [He chuckles.]

Hmmm... Darkwing, talking to me. Now that, that's something to imagine! [A Darkwing who isn't him and also isn't trying to kill him for stealing his role!] Okay, I'm about to start visualizing it. Start the scene!

[ What? No, she didn't want this!!! Dang it.

After a hard grumble and rubbing of her temples, she relents, and rolls her shoulders. Hopefully no one's watching... ]

Uh, hello, Drake Mallard! It is I, Darkwing Duck, the terror that flaps in the night! I hear you've been passing out in the middle of the day! What's the, uh... worry, my worn-out welcoming warrior?

[flapsin]

[He looks a bit skeptical and... disappointed.]

Mm... I dunno about this. Darkwing Duck would announce himself with a full introduction. I don't know if he'd do such a shortened version like that, especially for a fan! Also, do you have any smoke bombs on you by any chance?

[sos_pilot]

[ Della inhales sharply, then puts her hands together, wearing a smile that is definitely NOT a smile.

This is the last warning before a McDuck Temper Tantrum. ]

New plan! You go home and get a good rest, or I KNOCK YOU OUT INTO UNCONSCIOUSNESS to make sure it happens. Deal?

[flapsin]

[He shrinks back, fearing for his life just a little. He responds meekly-]

Now you're really out of character! ...Um, I mean, I'll go! I'll go. I just... really wanted to help with this charity effort!

[sos_pilot]

GO. NOW.

I'll take over what's left. And if I hear you sneaking out at night tonight, I'll personally hunt you down and tie you up.

[ that is a promise and a threat. better hope his stealth skills roll a nat 20. ]

[flapsin]

Wow. That - is a bit extreme! I'll... keep that in mind!

[And be more careful than ever! Or maybe take just one night off?]

[sos_pilot]

[ She offers him a more genuine smile - eh, kinda - as she picks up his tools. ]

Good. And I won't tattle on you to Darkwing if I see him.

[flapsin]

I feel like he'd be supportive of me. Just saying! But, um yeah, sure. Will do, Mom!

[With a dejected sigh, he shuffles away.]
