[Open] Raising Spirits
🧙 WHO: Dr. Naomi Kimishima and You
⚔️️ WHAT: Various quests and prompts as a Catch-all
🕒 WHEN: Throughout September till Event
🗺️ WHERE: Around Camelot
⚠️ WARNINGS: Possible burns, various injuries and illnesses, and corpses in some prompts.
Animals and Naomi don't tend to get along.
Perhaps she got along with cats, but given their symbolism throughout history, she's not surprised.
Death Magic seemed to make that relationship worse. At least sheep shearing shouldn't be so difficult to the point she can't approach, but incense only cover up so much. The stench of death did nothing to ease the already anxious sheeps' anxieties so she had to stay back. Still, she should make an effort to help with Quests.
So, she would help in her own way. Should she see anyone else working on shearing sheep, she would settle nearby, watch, and wait. Not close enough to bother the sheep, but not far enough to be completely unknown. If any healing was needed, she would be there - that, or maybe her watching was becoming a little eerie.
Naomi's heard about the strange marauder going around and acting out his fantasies, and it sounded like he needed mental health. However, she wasn't out for helping him, she's just trying to head home.
Which was what made encountering him somewhat a bother. That, and she didn't even know what the hell he was acting out. She didn't care for movies or plays so the scene was completely lost on her - oh dear, it seemed to be incensing him.
Maybe step in and help... or watch.
Land of Rot was as it said on the tin, and she was glad to be going when they did. She'd gone along to see about capturing corpses if only to ty her Death Magic out some more, but there seemed to be issues between it and the land itself. Either her magic wasn't strong enough, or the curse of the Land itself couldn't be surpassed.
Oh well, they managed to get what they needed.
"If we don't return in time, we still have access to the crematorium."
Well, she had access.
Just like the previous month, Naomi's door was open for all matter of ills and ailments at the clinic. Whether for a check-up, a quick heal, or a prescription, she more than likely had her next patient covered. All that she might want in return was a knock to know you're there.
"... Come in."
She tapped on her paperwork with her pen.
"Let's try not to waste too much of your time."
[OOC: Now Naomi isn't getting tattooed, but she can be a personal genie for some. Otherwise, anything else, plot with me over at

Animals and Naomi don't tend to get along.
Perhaps she got along with cats, but given their symbolism throughout history, she's not surprised.

II. Cult Classic

III. The Fighting Badass

IV. Open Clinic
Just like the previous month, Naomi's door was open for all matter of ills and ailments at the clinic. Whether for a check-up, a quick heal, or a prescription, she more than likely had her next patient covered. All that she might want in return was a knock to know you're there.

Ha! See? And more quotes were spouted as if it was the start of some epic battle scene with a monologue, which really only annoyed Keith more.]
Can we just fight already?
no subject
[Though... Keith's question has her eyes narrow a bit and she gives Keith a confused look.]
He's following a script. That doesn't mean you have to.
no subject
At first, it looked like the fight would be short-lived, as Keith had the mega-fan on his heels in defense. However, said fan had been practicing, hence why he'd been successful in his attacks thus far. Sure, he wasn't much more than a nuisance overall, but that didn't mean he wasn't actually physically hurting people, either. So, when he did finally start fighting back in earnest, he was actually able to almost keep up with Keith.]
no subject
[The fight was going well in the beginning, but the fanatic had been at this for a while now. The longer the fight went on, the more the fanatic was proving to have some actual skill. She wondered if she would have to intervene.]
no subject
With one last spin and a strong kick, Keith knocked the perpetrator flat on his back, forcing him to lose his weapon. He quickly moved forward, preventing him from getting up by holding his blade at the ready.]
I think this movie's over.
It's not supposed to end like this! I was supposed to win!
Take it up with the writers.
no subject
Can you hold him there long enough for the knights to arrive?
no subject
Yeah. I think so.
no subject
[Police in her world could be... questionable. Nonetheless, she dials... and once someone picks up, begins relaying the necessary information for someone to be dispatched and take him away.]
... They're saying it should take five minutes.
no subject
Ow! That thing's sharp!
That's the idea.
[They glared at each other for a moment.]
Can I at least sit up? This isn't exactly comfortable.
[Keith just narrowed his eyes, sword steady.]
Alright... fine. [The 'actor' huffed, actually pouting slightly as he crossed his arms.] You won't win, though... [And he smirked a little, using that as an opening line to another long-winded monologue that was clearly memorized from some other movie or TV show that was apparently appropriate for the moment, and Keith just groaned, rolling his eyes.]
Oh, just stop already!
no subject
[Hanging up her phone, Naomi just stands to the side while Keith has his whole roundabout with the 'actor'. He's quite off in his own little world, but Naomi finds a snake nudging her cheek, hissing her irritation.]
No Eve, you cannot...
Now then, is our monologuing... hm, are you supposed to be the hero or villain again?
no subject
[Keith pinched the bridge of his nose.]
I always win!
That doesn't answer the question.
Maybe not, but this will!
[One should never announce one's intentions like that. The statement immediately caught Keith's attention because people only said that in movies and TV shows when they were about to do something reckless and stupid. He shifted, dodging an attempted kick to sweep his legs, and then swept out his arm in an unspoken command as their quarry attempted to run.
The wolf that hung around Keith more than his familiar suddenly disappeared in a flash of light, reappearing at the actor's back in time to hit against him with all four paws, and knocked him flat on his face. And then sat on him.]
Good boy.
no subject
Oh yes, that made things much clearer...
[And just in time for a squad... carriage to pull up.]
Officers, your culprit is under the wolf.
no subject
Thanks for getting here so fast.
You won't see the last of me. I'll get you next time!
[Keith just deadeyed him in response as the officers moved to start loading him up into the carriage. He then turned to Naomi.]
You okay? [She seemed to be, but he was just making sure.]
no subject
[Maybe it would help him, maybe it wouldn't, but they could only see in due time. As the officers were loading their actor up, Naomi turns to Keith as he addresses her.]
I'm fine. No worse for wear, and maybe I'll be able to avoid a headache now.
[Perhaps she's too calm for someone almost attacked, but that's how things go.]
What about you? You didn't overexert yourself with that 'match', did you?
no subject
Nah. I'm a little tight, but I'm okay. [Funny how a few weeks of downtime after an injury can make that much of a difference. Keith wasn't used to that, honestly, but he was also used to not being injured as easily.]
no subject
[Something that would loosen up tightened muscles. Not everything required medical attention.]
It's not like he allowed you to stretch before fighting.
no subject
You're okay, though? He didn't actually hurt you or anything, right?
no subject
I'm fine. All he did was delay me from getting back to my room.
no subject
And good. Hopefully you didn't miss anything important.
[He took a deep breath.]
Good to know we've got him off the street... at least for a little while. Still, careful getting home. Just in case anyone's out there playing copycat.
[He didn't doubt she had resources to protect herself if needed.]
no subject
[If she misses her own personal window, she's just not getting to sleep anytime soon.]
Copycat... yes, people would take this opportunity, wouldn't they? I'm not worried, but if you are, I don't mind the escort.
[She really doesn't care either way.]
no subject
I don't mind escorting.
[Though, really... Keith was pretty sure Naomi could handle it on her own. He didn't know off-hand what her other magic was beyond healing, but he didn't doubt she could take care of herself if she had to. Plus, even if there was a chance of a copycat, it tended to be pretty low around here.]
no subject
Very well. I'm sure you remember the way to the Inn.
[Because that's just where she's heading. Maybe next month she'll consider looking at apartments, but that's if she happened to have the time.]
no subject
Yeah, I do.
[It wasn't hard, and Keith was good at remembering where stuff was anyway. He started walking with her, heading that way.]
Have you considered looking for your own place, yet?
no subject
I have. I'll be considering options next month to give myself time to save money to cover rent.
no subject
[He could definitely understand that. That said the rest of the walk would actually be quiet. Keith wasn't much of a talker, and tended to feel weird trying to carry on conversations for the sake of talking.]
