[open] summer's turn is nigh
đ§ WHO: Robyn and YOU!
âď¸ď¸ WHAT: Various prompts, including quests (mostly animal-related ones).
đ WHEN: Throughout the month of August
đşď¸ WHERE: Around Camelot, in or around Broceliande
â ď¸ WARNINGS: None; will add warnings if anything comes up.
A. Don't Treep, Man

[After the undead incident last month, Robyn resolves to help out with repairing the damage caused in the farmland. As such, she's been tasked with rounding up stray sheep and herding them back to their owner's farm. Robyn's never done shepherding before, but she's watched shepherds at work plenty of times and she has her animal magic to help. If you're in the farmland at all, you may see her at the back of a flock of sheep with a look of concentration on her face; she's using her magic to make sure the sheep go where they're supposed to without any of them breaking away from the group. When one of them starts to stray, she uses the shepherd's crook she borrowed to gently nudge it back into place.]
Stay with your friends, alright? We don't want you or anyone else gettin' lost again.
B. Invasive Species

[Robyn already spends a lot of time in the forest of Broceliande, and she was taught how to be a hunter, so this quest should be fitting for her. However, she's trying to focus more on getting the woodland creatures away from the lake and back into the woods, not wanting to disrupt the Carcinuses too much.
Unfortunately, she inevitably finds herself face to face with one, its scorpion tail pointed at her and snapping its claws menacingly. Robyn is firmly standing her ground, with her wolf familiar Rowena at the ready to defend her if need be, but her voice is still clearly nervous.]
Please...go back to the lake. I don't want to hurt you, but you should go home. You can't keep attackin' the animals.
[The Carcinus snaps its claws again, and all Robyn can hear with her animal magic is its overwhelming want for food, with no other logic behind it.]
Please, just go back...! [Robyn points her crossbow at the Carcinus. She's reluctant to kill an animal without the purpose of eating it, but if she has no choice...]
C. I'm Running with the Wolves Tonight

[Despite having to deal with problems on Broceliande, that doesn't stop Robyn from going there most days or nights in her wolf form, simply to enjoy herself. She'll never get over having her sense heightened and being able to run and jump much faster and higher than she could as a human.
On the off chance that you're in Broceliande at night, you may hear the sound of howling. Following the sound will lead you to two wolves calling out to any other wolves that might be in the area; one is golden and covered with markings, likely someone's familiar, while the other one is small and slender.]
D. Wildcard
[Feel free to hit up this post with any other scenarios!]

[Robyn notices another Carcinus scuttling towards them, and this time she reacts faster, shooting an arrow to scare it away.]
And I can't keep shootin' at them, since I'll run out of arrows...

Is there anything I can do to keep them super busy?

[Robyn looks around for a moment, trying to think of a way to deal with the animal situation, before she gets an idea. She cups her hands around her mouth and does her best impression of a wolf howl, and sure enough, some rabbits rush out of a nearby bush and head towards the woods.]

(As soon as he agrees with the plans, he sneaks around the forest to see a group of Carcinuses trying to chase after a group of harmless deer. Harry then summons a rock to kinetically fly right pass them as the chase goes on.)
Hey! (The rock flies right pass the Carcinuses as planned and they turn to see him and Rose in front of them, allowing the deer to flee away from the scene.) Try to go after me instead, you giant crabs!

While being deprived of food by his relatives for most of his life is still a bad thing for him, it also allows him to go on faster than most people back at home. How else it could explain him being to go further distances than Ron and Hermione combined during the Horcrux Hunt?
Jumping over rocks and fallen logs, the wizard is able to find the lake not far away while he couldâve sworn that he could hear the claws snapping loudly. He hasnât checked as to how many Carinsues are still out there, but at least he got his part of the plan down while hoping that Robyn and Rowena will be okay as they lead the animals away from the forest.)
Is that the best you got, giant crabs? I have seen giant spiders in my world who can hunt down food better than you!

It took them way too long as Harry makes noises at them towards said tree and, when they try to come after him, he simply teleports into another tree, confusing them ever further. He knows that the lake isnât too far away from his current location, how about if he can teleport away into near the lakeâs edge as a way to get them back to the water they belong.
As the result, he would either throw fire balls at them or toss rocks at them, they chase after him, and he goes âpoofâ to the next tree towards the lake. Rinse, lather, and repeat, except this time, he is not actually getting too tired from teleporting a lot, being mindful of how much energy he would need to use it.)

She quickly plants herself between her familiar and the Carcinus, showing all of her teeth and growling as threateningly as she can. At the moment, she's forgotten her own fears; all she can think about is keeping this thing away from Rowena.]

Then he focuses in creating a slippery ice ramp on the edge towards the lake and on the ground they stand for them to slip into. They donât have paws or feet to use to run away, so basically many of them slip right on the icy ground, slide onto the ice ramp, and, one by one, a lot of them fall right into the lake waters, completely dazed and defeated.)

Stay back! Leave her be!
[The Carcinus takes a few steps back, but it doesn't seem to want to budge any further. It still wants food and it's going to get it.]
no subject
And to be quite honest, he sort of lost count of the amount of Carcinuses that went after him besides the one who just slipped away. Still, he did make sure to count the ones who went into the water so he doesnât forget any.)

Behind you! [Robyn sees where it's headed and chases after it, calling out a warning. She knows anything she says will just sound like barking to people who don't have animal magic, but she just hopes that can get Harry's attention.]

Soon enough he immediately teleports away from the claws and stingers onto a higher tree branch still near the lake. For a while, the Carcinus is snapping at him in rage while he thinks of something to get it into the lake. Then out of the blue, Hedwig swoops in to distract it, hooting furiously and flying in fast speeds that it couldnât keep up with her.
Then he musters a strong kinetic magic energy to push it away from the tree he is hiding on and onto the lake with its brethren. Hopefully there arenât more Carcinuses out there chasing animals in the forest.)

She looks back towards the way she came, listening for any sounds of either stray Carcinuses or animals from the woods. Seems like everything's been cleared out for now.]
no subject
(Harry still hasnât come down from the tree branch right now when Hedwig flies back into his arms and she playfully ânibblesâ on his finger out of relief.)
Thanks Hedwig: that was really brave of you to help us out in the last minute in distracting that last Carcinus back to the lake.

I don't think so. I can't hear or smell any more of them near the woods.
no subject
If that is the case, I think that weâve managed to bring all of them back to the lake and hopefully they wonât be running around the forest and chasing animals anytime soon.

[Robyn shudders a bit at the thought of those creatures' stingers.] I hope I don't have to deal with those things again. But...I didn't want to kill any of them, either.
no subject
(He doesnât want to see more animals and Carcinuses being harmed in some form.)
I guess that we can all go back to Camelot right now and hope for the best.
no subject
[Robyn's just glad that the animals are out of harm's way for now. And even if she doesn't like the Carcinuses much, she hopes they can find food somewhere else.]
