july catch all!
🧙 WHO: Tohru and your character!
⚔️️ WHAT: A quest prompt, and a couple others
🕒 WHEN: Through July.
🗺️ WHERE: Camelot
⚠️ WARNINGS: None!
a. Helping the baby mossatees
( When she had heard that there were animals that needed help, Tohru hadn't hesitated to try to step in to lend a hand. Especially when it was something that she could do. While it's true that helping them was something that could supposedly help her, that... wasn't exactly the reason she was doing this.
She gently guides them forward, giving them a little push to help roll them forward towards the water. Her smile is bright, hopeful as she speaks to them in encouragement. )
There you go! Please, take care. Your parents are waiting for you.
( They can't really understand her. She knows that. But... she's cheering them on, anyways. She can't help but hope that they understand her feelings regardless. )
b. summer fever!
( As someone with healing magic, Tohru steps in to try to help those in need. She's moving to and from room, trying her best to provide whatever comfort she can to those who aren't feeling well. But, that isn't all she's doing.
She got a handful of teddy bears that she's brought in for the patients she does see. Each one is unique – designed differently with another color. Unfortunately, she runs out faster than she'd like, and she can't help but feel a little guilty when she does. )
… I'm so sorry. ( She offers quietly to the next patient. ) I ran out of gifts today. But, I promise that I'll bring something really special for you tomorrow.
c. training
( With how much she's been using her magic lately, she wants to try to get stronger. After all, her magic is still fairly weak. She wants to be prepared, just in case more people aren't feeling well, or... if there ends up being more fighting.
So, she's crouched down next to a nearby flower, a small ragdoll sitting on her shoulder in silence. It seems to be gently encouraging her – even if it's doing so without words.
The flower is slightly wilted – but, it isn't close to death, either.
She places her hands over the flower, brows furrowed as she focuses her magic on it. A warm light surrounds it, and slowly, but surely – the plant seems to become healthy again.
Her face lights up then, clasping her hands together. )
There! You seem to be alright now! I'm so glad...

She hasn't seen Eri before, but - she's so cute! She only hopes that she isn't here alone. )
Good afternoon! Did you come here to see the flowers?
no subject
[ Realizing that she was staring, Eri retreats a bit, clearly very shy... and the fact that she's realized that she was just staring making it that much more apparent. Still, she looks nice... and she did just heal that flower, right? ]
M-Mm... yeah, I did... [ A pause. Give her a moment, she's trying to work up the courage to ask. ] U-Um! Did you heal that flower?
no subject
Yes, I did. Here-- ( She shifts a bit then, creating some distance between herself and the flower. )
Would you like to see?
no subject
Aah... it's really healed...
[ She kneels down next to the flower, eyeing it closely with a look of wonder. It was just wilted earlier, and magic made it healthy again... ]
Amazing...
no subject
( She watches how careful she is with the flower. What a gentle child... She wonders if she was given healing magic here, too. )
My name is Tohru. What's your name?
no subject
Ah, I'm Eri...
[ Toh... ru... it was a simple name, and to be honest, Eri liked it... ]
no subject
( At least, it looks like Eri's looking more comfortable talking to her. She's glad for that. )
Are you here with your parents?
cw for mentions of mental abuse—oops
Unfortunately, Eri's parents are... well... they're a bit of a landmine, a sore spot in terms of topics, and something to be avoided. Of course, it can't be helped. A parent is supposed to be the main support a child her age receives, but...
"You're a cursed child"
Her tremble is oh-so-slightly there, but just barely. ]
N-No, I'm not... b-but everyone from UA is h-here! They've been taking care of me, a-and I've had a lot of fun!
[ Well, fortunately (though it really isn't), though those words originated from her mother... it was someone else who repeated them to her constantly, grooming her to believe that it was better for her to be hurt than others.
Mentioning her parents is... fine, she's fine, she's totally fine. That's not her life anymore, she has what is essentially her found family now, it just... takes a moment for her to remember that. ]
same cw
And this is no different. She can feel the way her chest constricts, and her hand goes to her heart. She's so young... She can only imagine how painful it is for her to think of such things.
How could she not feel guilty? Sad for her? )
... I see.
( But then, she offers a small smile. )
I'm glad -- it sounds like you have friends here who care very much for you.
no subject
[ Practically all of them (with the exception of Bakugou) would practically go full parent-mode when it came to her... to the point where frankly, she was getting a little spoiled. They all did their best, and outside of her arrival involving dropping into water without knowing how to swim... things have been pretty nice and fun here!
She's past that part of her life... past all of the pain she went through. She was fortunate enough to be saved, to have heroes who would never give up on saving her... something that finally gave her the will to let herself be saved.
That life where the concept of being happy or having fun... she's come a long way and escaped from those shackles. Like the scars on her arms, it may never go away completely, but... ]
Um, the way you healed this flower... I-I wanna be able to heal like that too!
no subject
( That's her hope, but she can see how she's cheered up a bit from mentioning her friends. It sounds like she's in good hands... It's part of why Tohru can't help but be grateful for this world. It's given so many people hope.
She can't help but pause at that, before smiling. She has absolutely no problem in helping someone else learn to use their healing magic! Though, hers is still fairly weak... )
I'd be happy to teach you. Were you given healing magic here?
no subject
[ She'll hold out her hands, where a soft and warm glow similar to what Tohru had used will start to emanate from them... along with the same glow emanating from the small horn on her forehead. ]
See? I-It's not much yet, but...
no subject
No, what you can do now is already wonderful. When I first arrived here, my magic was the same - but with practice, it can only grow more and more.
no subject
instead of hurt them... then that's everything she could ask for. ]Really! Yay!
[ She'll start to look around for something—anything—to heal. Maybe something like a flower? Like what Tohru just did... that seems like a start! ]
no subject
Would you like to try to heal this one?
no subject
Mm! Okay!
[ She'll place both of her hands at either side of the flower, her palms facing the flower, almost like she's cupping it without actually touching the flower. ]
Mmmm...
[ She hums for a moment, closing her eyes and creasing her eyebrows as she tries to use her magic. For a moment, nothing seems to happen, but...
Her horn starts to glow oh-so-faintly, just barely noticeable. The same faint glow starts to emanate from her palms, shining on the flower. There it is! There's her healing magic! Though... it's unfortunately very weak, and the healing is incredibly slow, even with how much effort is clearly going into it because of the creased expression on Eri's face. ]
no subject
Her hands clap together, eyes lighting up. )
That was amazing! Did you see that magic? I can tell that the flower was definitely happy to have felt it.
no subject
[ She beams, opening her eyes to see the light emanating from her hands. Her smile is positively radiant as she sees the wilting flower start to perk up and return to a healthy state. ]
Ahh... your welcome!
[ She aims that at the flower, since if it's happy to feel this then it's only right that she says 'your welcome' right? ]
no subject
Something like this deserves a celebration, don't you think? Would it be alright if I treated you to something?
