[Open] In the Summer Time
🧙 WHO: Zidane Tribal and You!
⚔️️ WHAT: A summer of fun with quests and zombies...! Wait...
🕒 WHEN: July
🗺️ WHERE: Throughout Camelot and Beyond
⚠️ WARNINGS: Warnings will come as needed. Minor violence with Zombies and Minotaurs
[Though the Alpacapies and Mossatees would probably be easier mounts to ride with, Zidane had mistaken one for a floating log and didn't realize it was a mount until he was far away, and the Mossatees just recently had their babies. If they needed their attention anywhere, it wasn't on a guy standing on their back and probably annoying the hell outta them despite their passivity.]
[Deinosuchus it was, and they weren't kidding when they said it was fast! He was off the first time it picked up speed, and giving it some food when it came paddling lazily back, burnt out from doing that much. They'd work on it - in fact, they could be seen working on it.]
... and if you signal, I can give ya a boost in speed instead. That way, ya don't tire out as fast. Sound good?
[Of course, he's not an Animal Mage so it's not sure how much the Deinosuchus might understand. At least it's not pissed off?]
Hey, hey, hey...!
[He's not sure what's going on, but he was ambushed. First the sponges, then the animals... Zidane blinks when both were done and it took another second to process his clothes had been cleaned, his hair had been redone, and his tail now had a bow on it.]
... OH MY GODS! I thought that stain would never come out of my sheath!
[Looked like he didn't care he was just mauled by woodland critters and cleaning supplies, he's too busy admiring how clean his dagger's sheath was. Perhaps another irate or hapless victim might like to point it out.]
[Oh good, zombies were a thing here too. And what a time to have neither holy or healing magic to put them down. Not that either really matter - zombies went down like any monster still, but it seemed like going for the head was the quickest way to make sure they were down.]
[The only real problem was numbers.]
[Then again, being outnumbered was not something Zidane easily cared about. In fact, he whistled for the next hordes attention.]
That's right! This way, fresh meat, come and get it!
Alright, I have the route plotted out. We have one problem though...
[He still clearly remembered the Minotaur issue from a month or so back. He was sure the lowerside of Camelot remembered the Minotaur from a month or so back - in fact, they probably remembered the stench fairly well and he's not envious about it. Dealing with the rocks was enough, but the piss - dear gods...]
[No matter, Zidane pointed out the spot.]
That Minojerk lives somewhere around there. I went to see if he was in after he ran off, but he wasn't there at the time - heck, he might've moved out. Still, he'll probably nearby so we'll have to be careful.
[Didn't matter to him how dangerous the Geode Slime might become living magma after it was freed - the issue was it needed help so he was gonna help. Y'know, even though he was warned it might be scared and attack. The burns wouldn't be fun to deal with, but the other option wasn't a choice to him.]
How do you wanna approach this?
[He already had his own ideas, but he always listens to any input from his partner - if they had their own suggestions.]
[OOC: Rather do another prompt not present? Then this is the option for you! Hit me up at
demidemonLove and let's play!]

[With that tree hit, looks like Simon's taking a small dirt nap - literally. It'd take more than those two hits for him to really be taken down. Taking quick strides over to check on Tifa, she's fine - in fact, she's freezing Simon to the ground. Good effort, but he doesn't think it'll last that long.]
Let's bail once you're done and get some distance between us and him.
no subject
[Her voice is strained, through grit teeth while the magical fog of ice circles her fists. The cracks that come from it spreading over Simon's legs are as loud as his roars when he struggles to break himself free, but it's no use. The ice is thick, and he's going to need a lot more than a tree to break him out of this prison.]
Alright. That should hold him for a while.
[Satisfied, and tired, she lets her hands down and immediately turns tail to run, grabbing Zidane by the wrist to bring him along with her.]
Where are we gonna go? She asks between quick footsteps. Won't he follow us?
no subject
If you say so...
[And suddenly, Zidane found himself being dragged again. Not that he minds, but does Tifa really know what she's doing?]
Yeah, he'll try, but we can lose him. You trust me?
no subject
But instead, she's all ears, and she grins.]
Not like I got much of a choice right now, do I?
[In other words: she absolutely does.]
no subject
Alright! Hold on!
[Because pardon him, he's going to lift her over a shoulder and split, his magic kicking up their speed. Issues with uneven terrain? Funny enough, he's been doing some exercises with Moguo, but Tifa might feel their doing a bit of weaving and going around while going forward.]
no subject
Tifa yelps when she feels her feet leave the ground, and she would fight a little if it weren't for her being jostled around while he takes off. All she can do is look back at Simon still trying to break free from the ice, and before they can get out of his line of sight, she focuses on her magic again, and the last she sees of the Minotaur is him roaring as more ice spreads up his torso to almost fully encase him within it.
Eventually though, she'll have had quite enough of it.]
Zidane!? Put me down!
no subject
[He doesn't even know how close to getting out the minotaur is - Zidane's focus is confusion and distance. And they've been going for a bit before Tifa exclaims to be put down. Skidding to a stop, Zidane places Tifa down before looking back.]
That outta do it for now, but we should keep moving.
no subject
[Her retort is sarcastic, if not a touch exasperated when he places her down, and Tifa takes a moment to straighten out her skirt and gloves and to brush some of her hair back into place.]
And what are we supposed to do about him? He'll get out eventually...
[Are they supposed to just ignore it?]
no subject
[Now would be a great time to fly, but that's not a good idea either. He doesn't know how well Tifa might be acclimated to higher altitudes.]
... We can only keep going with distance and staying covered. If we can force him back or make him have to avoid any obstacle, that'll help too.
no subject
So where're we supposed to make camp then?
[If they have to stay hidden, and if Simon has the advantage on all fronts over them, then they can't very well expect to find just anywhere to camp, can they? Lest they want a naked minotaur strolling into their camp in the middle of the night to beat the living daylights out of them...]
no subject
[Unfortunately, sometimes, them's the breaks. They had to keep moving until they were sure it was safe, but they weren't there yet.]
no subject
[Yeah, she knew that was coming, but had to ask anyway. They've got a long night ahead of them, but it might be smarter to keep moving and get back home as fast as they can.
Tifa sighs, kicking the ground with her feet, but there's a tiny smirk starting in her eyes.]
We could take turns carrying each other.
no subject
[It's weird when Zidane's not playing around too, but the danger was a little more present and near, and had the advantage on them. He'd probably be a little more for joking were the disadvantages not so prominent.]
[Still, he'll smirk back.]
Next time we go hiking.
think this is a cute spot to wrap! :3
[He's already carried her, so it's only fair that it be her next!
For now, she'll walk on her own two feet, and quickly too, keeping up a decent pace until they find safety enough to rest for a while before heading out again to do what she almost forgot they were here to do: find that research campsite and deliver this dang package!]
