[Open] In the Summer Time
🧙 WHO: Zidane Tribal and You!
⚔️️ WHAT: A summer of fun with quests and zombies...! Wait...
🕒 WHEN: July
🗺️ WHERE: Throughout Camelot and Beyond
⚠️ WARNINGS: Warnings will come as needed. Minor violence with Zombies and Minotaurs
[Though the Alpacapies and Mossatees would probably be easier mounts to ride with, Zidane had mistaken one for a floating log and didn't realize it was a mount until he was far away, and the Mossatees just recently had their babies. If they needed their attention anywhere, it wasn't on a guy standing on their back and probably annoying the hell outta them despite their passivity.]
[Deinosuchus it was, and they weren't kidding when they said it was fast! He was off the first time it picked up speed, and giving it some food when it came paddling lazily back, burnt out from doing that much. They'd work on it - in fact, they could be seen working on it.]
... and if you signal, I can give ya a boost in speed instead. That way, ya don't tire out as fast. Sound good?
[Of course, he's not an Animal Mage so it's not sure how much the Deinosuchus might understand. At least it's not pissed off?]
Hey, hey, hey...!
[He's not sure what's going on, but he was ambushed. First the sponges, then the animals... Zidane blinks when both were done and it took another second to process his clothes had been cleaned, his hair had been redone, and his tail now had a bow on it.]
... OH MY GODS! I thought that stain would never come out of my sheath!
[Looked like he didn't care he was just mauled by woodland critters and cleaning supplies, he's too busy admiring how clean his dagger's sheath was. Perhaps another irate or hapless victim might like to point it out.]
[Oh good, zombies were a thing here too. And what a time to have neither holy or healing magic to put them down. Not that either really matter - zombies went down like any monster still, but it seemed like going for the head was the quickest way to make sure they were down.]
[The only real problem was numbers.]
[Then again, being outnumbered was not something Zidane easily cared about. In fact, he whistled for the next hordes attention.]
That's right! This way, fresh meat, come and get it!
Alright, I have the route plotted out. We have one problem though...
[He still clearly remembered the Minotaur issue from a month or so back. He was sure the lowerside of Camelot remembered the Minotaur from a month or so back - in fact, they probably remembered the stench fairly well and he's not envious about it. Dealing with the rocks was enough, but the piss - dear gods...]
[No matter, Zidane pointed out the spot.]
That Minojerk lives somewhere around there. I went to see if he was in after he ran off, but he wasn't there at the time - heck, he might've moved out. Still, he'll probably nearby so we'll have to be careful.
[Didn't matter to him how dangerous the Geode Slime might become living magma after it was freed - the issue was it needed help so he was gonna help. Y'know, even though he was warned it might be scared and attack. The burns wouldn't be fun to deal with, but the other option wasn't a choice to him.]
How do you wanna approach this?
[He already had his own ideas, but he always listens to any input from his partner - if they had their own suggestions.]
[OOC: Rather do another prompt not present? Then this is the option for you! Hit me up at
demidemonLove and let's play!]

III - The Farming Dead
[While Zidane was calling out the zombie hoard, Kotarou was running towards him in an opponent direction with another set chasing after him. He wanted to help with the farms and thought that this would be easy pickings, but it turned out he was completely wrong about that one. This certainly wasn't as easy as horror games made it out to be.
All he had was a light pole armed in his hand and he had a pistol in his pants holster, but he was out of his light bullet ammo. He had to take some time to reload! He actually went through the effort to modify his pistol for magic and wanted to give it a test run.]
Hey, hey! Are you trying to get us killed?! Don't become a target for those zombies!
no subject
[Turning, he blinked... and his eyes grew at the ground this guy was bringing his way. He already had a group charging towards him! And he's fully equip with a ranged weapon, what's he doing?!]
Whaddya mean! I had zombies coming this way to deal with them. What're you doing bringing more?!
[Thanks! Thanks! Ugh, fine, he can handle this...]
no subject
[He turns around to smack one of the zombies across the face with his light pole. The head of it goes flying off before he starts running again.]
But, but... This actually works out for the both of us! I need some time to reload my gun here! Just keep being a distraction for me until then!
no subject
[He sticks his tongue out briefly before just stabbing a zombie in the head and kicking it off.]
You better hit them with what I'm about to give you.
[Because he can distract them alright. Or, he could - you know, use his Kinetic Magic to boost his speed and circle the horde, cutting some heads and take others down at the legs. Can't move as fast with just their arms he found so that should leave his new friend with something to shoot.]
no subject
Yeah, yeah! Just watch a pro work his magic!
[Well, he wasn't exactly a pro compared to higher ups in Guardian... But Kotarou just had to quip back out of principal. So with one hand, he summons light and imagines 'bullets'. They wouldn't be the traditional type, but they would be effective with his modified gun. And quickly, he loads them up into his weapon and starts firing away at the zombies. He's making sure to aim for the head each time and taking care not to hit Zidane.]
Man... Why are zombies showing up in the middle of summer?! It's not even Halloween time yet!
[Kotarou was the type who hated cold air and long pauses, so some complaining helped him focus with loosening the tension a bit.]

IV!!!
[Thankfully, Tifa's lucky enough to have avoided the minotaur issue completely, so the whole thing is lost on her. If it's such a threat, they should be able to take it out no problem, right? Zidane's proved himself capable and reliable in that sense, and she's taken out things twice its size before, so she's not at all worried.
Although now she feels like she should be...]
Think I might've missed the context on that one.
OwO
[So, you know, just a great guy…]
no subject
Oh.
[He did what now!? Note to self: make sure to double check the water before drinking? Hopefully they've cleaned it up by now but can never be too sure. She's pretty sure she can feel her stomach churning uncomfortably.
Yeah. Great guy.]
We should move fast, then. I can keep going a little longer, if we don't want to make camp somewhere... or run the risk of him finding us.
[And pissing all over their stuff.]
no subject
[If she's worried about that.]
I don't mind going a bit further either. If we do have to camp, we should sleep in shifts; and if he does find us, can you use any earth magic?
[They might be able to cause a landslide or drop him off a cliff.]

Do you think that this path was selected deliberately then?
[ Why can't one of them have Light Magic? Then they could simply cloak themselves and move on. ]
no subject
... I don't think so. He might've moved... or there could've been a landslide. But this guy also asked us to deliver something to their friend when they could do it themselves. They know something's possibly up...
no subject
[ Augh. How annoying. Xiao shouldn't have been so easily coaxed into coming along... ]

Farming the dead
It was enough to draw her attention. Bringing Sturm up, the gunner peered down the barrel of the rifle as she scanned those fighting against the zombie horde.
She sighted that particular kid soon enough, and also the friends he was attracting to his location.
Foolish boy.
She was a solid mile out, but to Elza's aim it was like shooting fish in a barrel at this range.
Taking aim, there was a deep sounding bang that echoed in the area as Sturm fired. The light bullet shot through the air before piercing right through the forehead of a zombie heading in front of Zidane.
Unlike all the other guns within the Guild, Sturm never required reloading, so she focused her sights on the next closest zombie to his location and squeezed the trigger.]
All too easy.
no subject
[When the zombie's head practically exploded in his face, he blinked and tilted his head. But then he shrugged and continued to wave to draw the horde on.]
Thaaat's it! This way! You're almost to me!
[If people were using this as an opportunity to kill zombies too, that's fine. It's not like he was unarmed or anything; and if any of them ended up too close, he'd draw on them. For now, he chuckled a rock at one zombie deciding to break away.]
Hey, no wandering off!
no subject
Did he have a plan?
The gunner ceased firing in that moment. Sturm was still pointed towards the enemy, but it remained silent in her hold. She'd wait to see what his plan was.]
no subject
[He's fine with that.]
[Next zombie to get too close got a dagger through its head and him moving back, second drawn with a twirl.]
I'm pretty lucky you guys don't have magic...! [And he does... and he was going to use it to zip around his gathered crowd and begin chopping them down.]

Although not as strong as lightning, I can use some ice magic that should help keep the area cool. Eria can also assist, though she doesn't like this area. [As evident by the snow wolf actually not right with them but instead keeping some distance away from the heat, her normal snow dust trail immediately melting.]
I can also fly down there and get a better scope of the area. But as for keeping it calm... Freezing it is probably not optimal.
[Half joke, half serious.]
no subject
I should be able to free it from a distance to keep it from freaking out so much and we could try approaching it after. Still, using any magic might make it panic.
[It's fine Eria. Moguo didn't look happy either... a trim might help, but he doesn't wanna be a shaved moogle either.]
... So animal magic wouldn't work at all in this case?
[It's a slime so it's an animal, right?]
no subject
...I don't even know if I could transform into one, and if I did if it would even help.
[The thought is maybe another slime might make it feel more comfortable, but it could also make it feel threatened. ...He doesn't really like the idea of turning into a slime, anyway, so it's out.]
no subject
[Eustace turning into a slime might be cool (and hilarious), but yeah, something about him might still be off to the other.]

Clean Up Chaos
[Because she's also just been assaulted by the cleaning supplies, as can be told by the fact that her hair has been styled into a pair of poofy pom-poms. Which isn't a problem, but in their aggressive cleaning, they knocked her off her feet and left her on the ground on all fours.]
[She pushes herself back to her feet, and starts dusting herself off.] Really, they could have asked before they...
[And then something catches her eye: A dustpan and a pair of brooms, circling back around to help her with that dust on her skirt.]
Oh, quiznak — they're coming back this way!
no subject
[He remembers her! He tried to distract her doppelganger, and in the end used a trash can to buy time. All that aside, maybe Momo should be out here. She'd love Allura's current hairstyle, poofy pom-poms and all.]
I think the only way they could ask is with animal magic...
[But following her eyes, a dustpan and brooms. Ah...]
Okay, guys, that's enough. When a lady doesn't want something, respect that.
[He's talking to regularly inanimate objects, but he'll make them freeze so he can do so.]
no subject
[She'll circle back to the pleasantries when the cleaning supplies stop circling back towards them. Because don't you know, Zidane? Brooms are known for being difficult to dissuade, and doing their work in a mob. Rounding the corner after the first pair are several dozen other brooms, accompanied by a scattering of smaller cleaning tools, all of which are heading towards... well, both of them now, since he's standing in the way and attempting negotiations.]
Perhaps we should catch up somewhere else? Say, higher ground?
no subject
[Though, looking back to see the herd of brooms coming, he sighs. He's already been cleaned up; do they just want to sweep the street? Either way, he'll fling the frozen batch he has to try delaying them for a moment.]
Sounds good to me!
[And he's all good for climbing, but he wants to make sure she starts up first.]
