[Open] Let's go (back) to the beach!
🧙 WHO: Everyone invited by this network post
⚔️️ WHAT: Throwing Colette a birthday party!
🕒 WHEN: June 19th
🗺️ WHERE: Beach near Camelot City
⚠️ WARNINGS: It's Colette's Birthday. No getting out of hand, but warnings will be added if they must.
Sunny, clear, bright with calm, but visible waves, all those perfect conditions for a day at the beach.
... Really, he'd been checking to make sure. Meanwhile, he had to trust nothing would happen since Camelot was still right there. Just one day, one day of things staying normal with no interruptions was all he was asking.
Anyway, rental grill and table? Check.
Beach umbrellas? Check.
Extra towels? Check.
Beach balls, floating rings, basically things that said 'beach fun'? Check, check, aannd check!
While Zidane had the bowls, water, and toys for the dogs, Eustace was supplying what they ate (which was for the best), and he's making sure to keep them away from the disposable plates and cold foods so no mistakes were made. If anyone wanted alcohol? Well, that wasn't available - Zidane's only packed water, juice, and some assorted carbonated beverages for those that wanted it. BYOB if one really needs it - heck, he has some pizza on order later for people who'd rather that than the fruits, vegetables, or meat he's cooking up.
All-in-all, should be enough for people to chill out, have fun, and save room for the ice cream cake once it was time to sing 'Happy Birthday'!
[OOC: Dog beach birthday party fun! Heads up, I'll try tagging everyone that top-levels with Zidane since he's hosting so if you don't want a tag, just tell me. Also, have any specific questions? Also hit me up at
demidemonLove. Just final note: blue decorations, and plants present courtesy of Aerith!]

Colette.
[Really he doesn't want to take up too much of her time since she seems to be enjoying herself.]
no subject
[Of course he did in being the one to bring the dogs. But still. It isn't like she is necessarily aware of that. She straightens from petting and playing with the dogs, standing and dusting off her clothes as if that might be enough to get rid of the dog hair (it probably isn't).]
Are you having a good time?
no subject
Yes, and it looks like you are as well. I'm glad.
[It's a party for her after all.]
no subject
[Then again that is probably the one thing most everyone knows about her here. Her love for dogs. So maybe that is not so surprising that someone arranged their presence as well. Colette gives a smile though, glad to see him and so many other friends.]
It's so much fun, I haven't done this before.
no subject
What's been your favorite thing so far?
no subject
[As if anyone that knows her here wouldn't be aware of her love for dogs. Do maybe that is not so surprising that someone considered that for her birthday party. Still, she has to consider for a moment.]
My favourite? Ah, but I've loved all of it. Having all my friends here, the dogs....
no subject
I suppose it would be difficult for you to choose. In that case just enjoy it to the fullest, but don't forget there's still the food and any gifts people brought.
no subject
[She will eventually get hungry. Now she can eat again, here in Camelot. Colette isn't entirely unaware of the ideas of presents but it wasn't exactly a priority she considered in gathering her friends. More, she hadn't really been able to back home so this was a way for her to do so without dealing with the church ceremony back home.]

[Colette admits, straightening up and apologizing as the dogs started to whine. She explains to them she wouldn't be long as she turns to head with him to get something to drink at the tables set up for the snacks and drinks. Perhaps more had been set up since she last checked.]
no subject
At the table, there's water along with some other juices and drinks. Eustace helps himself to the water before glancing at Colette.]
Have a preference?
[She's the birthday girl, least he could do is get her drink.]
no subject
[Colette gestures to the orange juice to show which juice in particular as the dogs do indeed follow her and Eustace to the drinks. It is a little harder to get around and all with a few dogs more or less constantly following her even if she tries to then encourage them to go play.]
no subject
Hey, clear the way. You're crowding her.
[Just a soft admonishment before she hands her her drink.
...Hm, come to think of it, the dogs should drink as well.]
I'll take them to the water bowls.
no subject
They might be thirsty too! Yes! From all the playing.
[The dogs whine, or at least some do as she encourages them by eventually following Eustace.]
no subject
You'll be able to play again after, come on.
[A bit more forceful command for them to move as they begrudgingly follow.
However there's going to be an "incident" as one of the dogs found one of those big tug toys that has a large ball attached to it. In its excitement it swings it around, smashing it against the bowls and sending water everywhere. Of course it doesn't care and neither do the dogs as they start barking and chasing each other.]
Hey!
[Hopefully Colette is not in the way! Some of them are large!]
no subject
Which may not necessarily work as likely at least one or two of them still come over to her, in inviting her to play with them. She tells them to wait until she finishes the drink first, trying to encourage them to play together for a few more minutes.]
no subject
If they bother you again just push them away.
no subject
[What is this concept of not hugging and petting and loving the dogs? Does not compute. It isn't like she actually really has experience with dogs outside of Noishe and some she randomly comes across briefly back home. And Emerald isn't around all the time, as her familiar and all. In theory she might know they require discipline and all but.
She would probably kind of fail in that if she had to herself.]
no subject
...Yes. Letting them do whatever they want isn't good and they'll develop bad habits that can carry over when meeting other people. You have to set boundaries so they understand what is and is not allowed, especially if you start getting overwhelmed.
no subject
[Which isn't a bad thing. But she does need to work on all this. It isn't like Noishe or Emerald are the typical standard dogs, to compare. So she is trying to get better about it all. Trying to prepare as best she can for her idea on the café. There is just a lot to prepare for and keep in mind and learn.]
