🧙 WHO: Barbara and Hendrik
⚔️️ WHAT: Baby dragons!
🕒 WHEN: June
🗺️ WHERE: Out in the wilderness
⚠️ WARNINGS: None
[It's not that Barbara is a nature girl, but knowing what this island of Avalon is and what lives here is essential to surviving here. That's why she spends a not-insignificant portion of her time exploring the parts of the island that haven't been populated by humans.
And today she has found... dragons.
Little baby dragons, flapping and tumbling in the flowers. At first, Barbara keeps a respectful distance--in her experience, dragons do not like their offspring being andled by anyone without strict permission--but as time passes, it seems that there aren't any parents. Just dragonets, playing in the field.]
Odd...
[Well. She's got some cold meat from something she hunted yesterday. Might as well crouch down and see if the baby dragons like it, right?]

He's not starving, after all.
He stumbles upon the clearing with the field of flowers not too after Barbara settles down to watch, only stepping back once he realizes she intends to feed the creatures. Should he be here? The baby dragons don't seem to have noticed the meat yet, so he keeps his distance while addressing Barbara.]
Offering food?

Yes. [Still not looking away from them, Barbara pulls a piece of rabbit meat into smaller bits and holds one out, which gets the dragonets looking a little closer.] Barbara find.

He crouches to make himself less intrusive, checking to ensure he's secured the lid on the container of mushrooms he had been harvesting. Even so, his voice as he speaks to Barbara earns glances in his direction from the more curious dragonets.]
Find? This is your first time seeing dragons here?
[He rubs his chin, contemplative. His wording made it sound like he had known about the creatures already.]
I did not know any lingered in the forests.
[...That also made it sound like he knew they were around, but he refrains from clarifying again.]

Yes. [She looks up at him, studying his expression and his body language.] Hendrik see before?

None in this world. And none as small as this in my own world.
[He can only surmise that's because the dragons were smart enough to keep their young far away from human settlements.]
They seem quite innocent.
