Best Laid (Back-up) Plan - Exploring the Ship
Izzy stayed on the surface as people explored the wrecks. Sitting under an umbrella with her swimsuit on. Her magics didn't help much under the surface, but given her speed swimming using both her legs and her magic she was chosen to help rescue anyone if they didn't surface in a timely manner.Best Laid (Back-up) Plan - Beach Episode
Now she was 'helping to clean the ships' which in her case was exploring them looking for secrets. And usually only finding fish. But she'll goof off looking for treasure maps and lost captain's logs because she's a curious child with zero desire to get fish guts off of anything. Without someone prompting her to her job.
With all the work done, and the ships off, Izzy can be found in one of two places. The water, or the shade. She's watch her sister lounge around in the sun to get that perfect 'accidental tan' but not too tan thing, to never want to be that girl. But at the same time she loves the cold waves and playing in the water like a child. Plus her swimsuit would go to waste if she didn't do a bit of swimming in it. Swimming at speeds too fast to be healthy using her kinetic magic to propel herself around like a missile. Breaching the water's surface to do spins and twists she could never manage on a skateboard. The Further Fights - Dungeon
On the beach she's mostly sipping fruity (non-alcoholic) cocktails and building sand castles. Although her aesthetics in sand castle architecture are pretty much brutalistic. Hard lines and a bleak sense of dispair looking at them. Which is to say this child has issues.
Izzy was miserable. She was scared, and in a cell, and she fucking hated this. She hated that she could just get grabbed off the street. Hated the week of bullshit that were the trials. Hated she wasn't sure when she'd get out of here. The Further Fights - Fighting Ring
So she'll just be grimy and miserable in her cell waiting to die, cause what else could she do in this fucked up situation.
Izzy's a bit too small, and too human, to be a really solid contender in a one on one fight. The audience wants drama and spectacle in ways Izzy won't provide on her own. Which is why she's basically there to be a load on the other fighter in the ring. Her partner has to keep her safe, while also not dying themselves. While beset by monsters. The sort of thing an audience loves, a fight against the odds.Training About Town
This isn't to say Izzy's worthless, but the amount she can do is so limited, she barely crosses the line past 'worthless.' She's tired, hungry, and pissed off about this fucking thing. Who would do this shit at the end of the world, just- this is seriously fucked up.
After the whole 'kidnapped ordeal' and some time resting Izzy is trying to put some of her better honed magics to work. She seems to be going everywhere in her day to day life like there's a giant game of 'the floor is lava' going on. Walking and jumping from walls to see how long she can keep from needing to stop and rest.Wildcard
And because she is a child she generally is stopping to rest on terraces, window sills, or rooftops. To maintain the game she's playing. She can't 'fly,' but she can put enough force behind jumps to get across roads and gaps with relative certainty. But, as she's still new at this she sometimes doesn't quite get a grip on the wall with her magic and slides down to the ground.
Maybe someone should ask this child what the hell she's doing.
Got an idea? Send it in a PM or just leave me a starter and I'll make it work. I'll also do action style replies if that's your preference.

And now he's the crafty schemer who's forever paranoid. It would take a lot more than someone as experienced as Izzy to really get the jump on him.
"You don't have to be like that, though. There are plenty of good people here in Avalon. If you're ever in a bind, you just need to ask them for help, and they'd come running."
no subject
"I don't think I can just ask for help all the time, I don't wanna be that kind of person." Her parents taught her to be independent, but maybe not the same way Claude's did. Or maybe it was the same, he didn't share a lot of details. Even now. "So you learned to be crafty, that's why you just answer with nothings when people ask you things? Out of habit?"
no subject
"It's easier to keep people guessing. If you have an advantage in information, you never know how that could be useful later." His enemies certainly found his unpredictability intimidating; meanwhile he's always prided himself on gathering information and always having a read on a situation.
"Sorry -- I didn't realise you got caught up in all that kidnapping stuff. Were you hurt?"
no subject
"I'm fine." Which isn't an answer to the question, she did get hurt. And she was healed, she recovered. And she learned some things. Like being able to use her magic to sit on the side of a wall. Being young allowed her to be bendy enough to talk to Claude like this was normal, "It convinced me I need to be a bit better prepared for whatever the fuck happens here."
She let herself forget that all Avalon happens to be is a bigger cage than the one at home. Being in a smaller cage reminded her. It was a hard lesson, but she's dealt with worse.

As much as she might try to play tough, she surely knows as well as he does that she has her limits. In his own experience, having allies here has saved his skin more than a few times.
"So... Was that everything you wanted to ask?"
no subject
Plus Claude pretty much owned up to being a cagey paranoid bastard, which she could relate to but made trusting hard.
Izzy stands up on the wall, and takes a few steps so she can get eye to eye with Claude. Considering if she had any other questions for him. Trying to get at his past, trying to gleam a few more details about who he really is. "What color were your mother's eyes?"
A question asked with all the seriousness she could muster for a question that was, entirely designed, to be nonsensical.
no subject
"They're green, just like mine."
no subject
She hops up in the air, no longer touching the wall meant gravity took hold and she landed in a crouch on the ground. Something almost catlike in the actions. "Although if I think of other questions I will pester you with them."
no subject
He's not sure how much his own magics will be useful in helping a kinetic user, but maybe with a little creativity they can think of something.
no subject
"I can kinda use my magic to propel myself forward but I can't- um, gauge how much power I need? Any ideas?" She'd figured out her magic was action, motion. She couldn't do anything without some form of movement on her part. Now it was just honing this to some sort of second nature.
no subject
Maybe that's all common sense to her, but he's not a magic expert by any means-- he's pretty much just figuring it out in his head as he talks.
"The only real way you can figure out your limits is plain old trial and error. At least, that's how I've been learning about mine."
no subject
"I've been getting around town without touching the ground?" She figured just making it a part of her day, and being a gremlin leaping across rooftops was fun, seemed better than boring training on the training grounds if she didn't have someone teaching her stuff. "See how far I can go before I miss a building or need to rest. Does that count?"
