June Catch-All for Adela

🧙 WHO: Adela & OPEN
⚔️️ WHAT: Catch-All for June! Various Prompts Within
🕒 WHEN: Month of June
🗺️ WHERE: All Around Camelot
⚠️ WARNINGS: Some possible spooky elements, some possible curse language, will update as needed

1. Training Grounds

Today looked absolutely miserable and wet, but maybe that was why it was perfect for this. Adela had previously managed to talk to one of the instructors about her elemental magic (and apparently she had something called siphoning magic too?), and now was the time to start practicing it.

Because it was raining so hard, Adela had been hoping that the training grounds would be empty, an assessment that proved correct -- at least, when she arrived there.

Alone, her hood up to (not really) protect her hair from the rain, and holding a hand out, Adela tried to create stones in her hand. It was... Hard. It felt similar to the magic of her home, but at the same time it was so different to create something. It took effort just to make a small stone, and she tried to move it about her hand in order to get a feel for how to control it. That she managed to at least do something this quickly was encouraging, but what was she supposed to do with a small rock?

After a moment, she decided to try and launch it forward, to the apparently empty field. It didn't land that far away, causing her to twitch and groan rather loudly at that. That... really wasn't impressive, at all. She thought practicing with stones and earth would be a lot more impressive than this, but maybe it was because it was hard to focus with the rain beating down on her?

Well, at least she was here by herself, so there was nothing to hide... She'd just have to make more stones in order to try again, wouldn't she?

2. It's a Wetdding!

By the time Adela returned to her inn room from that day's training session, she was soaked to the bone. Her clothes were set aside on a rack to dry, and Adela herself was in a warm, fluffy bath robe tied firmly around her body. At the desk near her room's window, she was crafting little white dolls, and she seemed to be working on her current one with meticulous care and a warm smile. The rumors about the traditions involving the little dolls seemed cute, and even if she didn't really like ghosts... Maybe this would be okay.

She hung the newest finished one next to the open window sill, fully intending to move onto the next one once she had. It seemed like a good way to spend a quiet, rainy day at her home-apparent.

[[ OoC: Adela tends to hyper-focus so this is one that's good to be either interrupted by company, a pet/familiar, or someone deciding to do the dark web cause fear prompt since she'd likely be working into the night on these as well. Just as a warning for that last one though, if they try the jumpscare route that'll freak her out enough for her to be bolting for her sword and trying to defend herself until she realizes she's not actually in danger. ]]

3. Shipwreckers

A sunny day at the beach, and they were to try and find treasures and raise a sunken ship. When Adela's clothing had changed to a full-body suit apparently designed for the water, she was surprised but overall felt that it really didn't feel too bad. Maybe it'd be a little hot out of the water, but it covered her skin and preserved her modesty, so it was fine by her!

By that point Adela had practiced with her magic enough to try and create an air bubble, whipping up a slight breeze around her to keep it set in one spot. Maybe it was time to try it for the water, but it was suggested that she shouldn't go alone. That... Was a problem. She didn't really see anyone she knew (or rather anyone she had met before) though. How could she approach someone about this though... Nehra, that just made her feel lost.

She wanted to see the ship. Really wanted to. Maybe it'd be all right if she just went up and asked?

A deep breath to prepare herself, and she approached someone to ask, though she felt stiff and uncomfortable while she did so, "Are you planning to go to the ship as well?"

4. Hoist the Flags

Adela had managed to get her hands on a small ink bottle before they had to flee from the Fuath, and when she found the person with the sister item and the ship was raised, she couldn't help her excitement in the prospect of exploring the ship.

It was rather less exciting to be tasked with cleaning it, but it was still the first time she'd seen a huge ship like this up close!

While cleaning some of the algea off of the ship and trying to dump it back into the sea, Adela couldn't help pausing periodically just to look around. That the ship was restored was amazing all on its own, though it led the red head to becoming pretty distracted and maybe not cleaning as efficiently as she could have been.

Later, when they were rewarded with with the Cool Firework spell, Adela couldn't help her delight at the fireworks coming out of her fingers, perhaps forgetting her own hang-ups about magic for the moment. How could something so beautiful be bad, after all?

5. Beach Episode

A - Food

Perhaps she should have been tired after all of the excitement with underwater exploration, trying to evade the wrath of the Fuath, preparing the ship for the traders, and learning a new spell, but it seemed like there was almost a sort of festival going on at the beach? Whatever it was, it seemed like a lot of people were participating and having a lot of fun with it.

It did temporarily leave her a little confused about where to start, but with everything else that had happened maybe food would be the best bet? She was starting to get pretty hungry.

When Adela approached the buffet style tables however, she just seemed... Confused. There was so much there, so many different types of foods, and while she recognized some of it a large amount was completely foreign to her. But she didn't want to spend too long there and block other people, so she wound up standing back a little with an empty plate in hand as she just tried to puzzle out what some of the food there even was. She definitely needed a little help...

B - Play

After eating, she picked up one of the beach balls that were set aside there. She saw the bats as well, although she didn't really understand why. Were there supposed to be some sort of event with them? Either alone or together, she didn't know. But she did toss the ball she held into the air briefly, marveling a little at just how light it was, and how it bounced off of her hand when she initially tried to catch it. What in the world was it made of, and how was it so light?

There were a lot of weird devices set aside too, they had a shape like... Well, she thought it sort-of resembled one of the fire arms she saw at the forge, but they were much more colourful and clearly not made of metal. Just what were they?

"Huh? Oh, I'm taking a picture- guessing your world doesn't have cameras and stuff right?"

Junko beckoned her over to come take a look at what she was doing.

"Yeah exactly! Look, I'll show you something cool- strike a pose and look at the phone, 'kay?"

She'll give Adela a moment to pick a pose before she make a peace-sign at the camera a snaps a selfie.

"Perfect~"
