Meditation:

Away from the training grounds, Homura would return to the very tree she mauled one night. While it was tempting to try and meditate at the training grounds, there was too much potential for accidents; having caused some before wasn’t helping the mindset. So one would find her sitting against the tree, legs crossed and meditating. A rare sight for someone who tended to present themself as gung-ho. Well, ignoring the times she has seemed depressed lately….

Quests:

Trowmies got my Homies:

“....I was expecting you guys to be a bit taller.”

After sneaking their way through the lair and freeing the prisoners, things seemed to be going well. Least until they had decided to try and save another, a trap springing for Homura and her partner. And after such a remark, the creatures weren’t pleased. Yet Homura didn’t look too worried.

“We gotta wipe them all out at once. If they sense they can’t win, they’re just gonna drop this place on us.”

Kidnapping people and doing god knows what to them? She wouldn’t mind exterminating these little creepers. A few of them lunging at her violently also wasn’t helping their innocence. Per her instructions, she merely moved forward to kick them back down.

Overgrowth:

Homura and her partner just stared at the Kraken thrashing about in the house from the outside. Doors, windows, this beast cared for nothing. And this was just supposed to be the baby. Hate to see the fully grown thing in action. She glanced at her partner while clearly displeased.

“Just to be clear, we’re killing this thing, right?”

Sure, it was just a baby creature, but….well even this infant was causing major damage, more so than other beasts in this area.

Beach episode:

Part 1 - Scavenging:

“Again!? Are you freaking kidding me?”

She spoke that to no one in particular. She just partially looked frustrated since this was her third time being transported to an unknown place, and they put her in a swimsuit. She wanted to believe she was back home, ready to see her squad, or at least some familiar faces. Hell, Homura would take Yoma at this point. So long as she had her abilities back, anything would be okay. But alas. Still, at least this bikini was one of the ones she actually liked. Admittedly, she preferred black, but this one was comfortable and helped bring out more of her cute side.

Whatever the case, she was making the most of this as she listened to the request. Moments later, one would find her practicing within the water, staying under for quite a few minutes...only to rise back up in frustration. You might be able to catch her in the few seconds she allowed herself to recover before diving back down.

Part 2 - Relaxing:

She normally relied on training to get a decent tan in, all thanks to playing with fire, but she needed to take some of Maribelle’s talks to heart. Mainly in finding more time to relax. Every day had been training almost nonstop, and many people she found just told her to relax, on her own for once. Spending her time with her teammates all the time, she was….well relaxing by yourself was usually done with more training, so turning off that mode was difficult.

But she was trying. Still clad in the pink swimsuit, she had found a nice spot in the sun to lay down on a blanket and get some tanning in. For once, she looked perfectly in peace. Surely nothing bad would happen to ruin this for her...right? She had picked what she assumed was a not-so busy spot thanks to her blood senses.

Going on a quest to take out some troublemakers and kidnappers, that was the sort of thing Finn did all the time back in Tamriel. He had volunteered to help with this quest, of course.

As their foes advanced on them, Finn said, "I'll take the big ones." When there was no big one, of course. Lightning crackled between his fingers and he thrust his palms out, sending a chain lightning to strike multiple enemies.

She appreciated some humor, actually didn't expect it from her quest partner. Looks were deceiving. She jumped as the lighting struck and ripped through the trows, and made a mental note to try and learn that; she electric skills were limited to mostly stunning people. She bounced off the air made under her feet, dashing and jumping to cut off the escape of their foes.

Blades ripped through the creepy creatures, head and torsos cut in a mere two slashes from both blades.

Finn quickly drew his knife to take out one of the goons stunned by his lightning, before he followed it up with a burst of fire. Having had magic in his previous world, he knew a thing or two about casting spells. But he didn't have his vast mana pool to call upon, and he was just as deadly with a dagger as he was with magic.

The shortness of the caves also proved a bit of a hindrance, not allowing for much mobility. At least Homura could move just fine, though needed to stop several times, getting used to the walls and redirecting herself. Though once one of those creatures was in sight, their bodies tore apart with her flame and steel combo, swords easily eviscerating the last batch fleeing for the exit.

Homura paused, eyes closed as she tried to feel out the area some more with blood magic. Their small stature made finding more harder, but the humans they captured were easy to find. Well, easier. Still, couldn't sense anything.

"Think we got them all. How many of their friends--One sec." She took noticed of one trying to crawl away despite the intense wound, and casually stabbed it in the head. "Great, now I gotta double-tap them. Got everything under control on your--" And there she saw the knife kills, blinking at his technique. "Nevermind."

Given how he worked, Din hardly seemed like he needed much help. The tightness of the area seemed to be the worst foe really.

Finn was less acrobatic, but he was agile and he'd trained as an assassin, knowing the right places to slice and jab for a quick kill, while also hitting the goons with spells. He saw one try to go for Homura while her back was turned, and he hit the creep with a jet of water, following it up with electricity for extra damage. Water, earth and air were elements he didn't have access to back in his world, and he was trying to get into the habit of using the full range of elemental spells now at his fingertips, not just what he was used to using.

"I think I..." One of them moved and he quickly set them on fire to finish them off. "I think I've got a handle on things. That was some nice acrobatics, by the way. Now where were you when I needed something from the top shelf at the grocery store last week?"

"Hey I'm always available for hire! No one calls me up for it!"

All said with a chuckle despite the slaughter they just did; in fairness, the creatures started it. With no more threats at the moment, seemed like a good time to continue. Though her curiosity was growing. Even with him out of sight, her blood magic could help feel out his movements. Definitely not ordinary; the less than normal physical nature of Finn should have been obvious for that though.

"Where'd you learn how to combo though? You're a natural at this, more so than some people I know. Really liked that chain lightning too!"

"I've had years of practice doing that back in my home world. Lucky me, this place let me keep the elemental magic that I'm used to." He still missed the other magicks that he had, such as Illusion and Alteration, but what could you do? "Chain lightning has always been a useful spell to me, as well, especially in situations such as this." He nudged one of the downed enemies with the toe of his shoe.

"Don't suppose you can teach me some elemental tricks then, could ya? I got fire and wind mostly down. The others...well long-range isn't usually my strength."

If the twin swords and bouncing around was any kind of indication.

"I don't see why not. I have to warn you, though, that I'm still learning the ropes when it comes to air, earth and water, since I couldn't summon those elements before. Fire is my specialty, but I'm no slouch with ice and lightning either." Though it was almost ironic that his second magic set that he received here was Death Magic, seeing as he couldn't even get a fish skeleton to talk back in his world.

"Funny, fire's my specialty too. I'm a quick learner anyway. Kinda have to be when your life is on the line, ya know?"

That and spending an unusually long amount of time training, either with friends or alone. Fortunately, she could at least try and mimic her friends for better control of the other elements.

"I hear that. I went on adventures all the time back in my world, and I wouldn't have lasted very long if I didn't know how to use magic or knives." Well, he also had his Dragonborn powers, but obviously he didn't have access to those abilities at the moment.
