A Short Hunting Trip [OTA]
🧙 WHO: Adela & OPEN
⚔️️ WHAT: There's a certain amount of pride in hunting game meat for yourself, but this hunting trip doesn't go quite that smoothly.
🕒 WHEN: Sometime in Mid-May
🗺️ WHERE: Brocéliande
⚠️ WARNINGS: The murder of many, many dust bunnies
Maybe it was that she was that she was more used to this sort of thing, but there was something relaxing about just walking through the forest. It reminded her so much of home that it was a comfort, and even if her familiar was no where in sight she felt at ease.
Granted, she wasn't there just for a stroll, if the short-bow and quiver of arrows on her person were any indication. It'd been a while since she'd had rabbit after all, and something like that should have been more than enough for one of those.
The papers occasionally caught the red head's eye as she travelled through the forest, but the sound of movement caught her attention and she pulled the hood of her cloak up, notching an arrow into the bow and crouching low. She remained still, looking towards the source of the noise and getting herself ready to shoot at what was hopefully a good-sized rabbit. Though, if it was a deer a single arrow might not be enough to do the job. And if it wasn't a game animal at all... Well, she'd think of that when she found out what made the noise.

Sounds of movement drew the gunner from her thoughts. From her position on a branch higher up in a tree, she waited for whoever had entered her area to come into view. The seconds ticked by and even without seeing the person she knew they were hunting.
Then the cloaked red-head came into view and knotched an arrow to her bow. Elza kept her silence and instead turned her attention over to where this girl was looking.
Relaxing back against the trunk of the tree, the gunner waited to see just how good of a shot this hunter was.

A bunny that immediately dissolved into dust. Which left the arrow stuck in the ground near where the dust bunny had been.
Adela herself seemed stunned, but after a moment she let out a loud groan, getting to her feet and making to get her arrow back. Great, there were false animals there?! That'd just make it harder to find her dinner...
It seemed like, in her dismay, she hadn't noticed Elza for the time being.

"It's a shame about your dinner," Elza said with a chuckle. There was an air of ease oozing from the gunner while she remained leaning back against the comfy spot in the tree. Brushing the blonde hair from her eyes, she offered the young archer a teasing smile. "Better luck next time.

"I'm sure in time you'll come to learn the difference," Elza offered. She was still learning much about this new world she found herself in herself but she wasn't concerned.
There she goes with her quietly watching again.
Sorry for the wait!
But, before she left, she did look at the other, quiet for a while as she pondered if she really wanted to ask.
"... Do you know of a way to tell the difference?"
It couldn't hurt to at least ask, right?

"Damn it Haguro," Nobuanga calls to his falcon, relatively quietly given the idiot involved, but understandable given that he's hunting too! "That's another dust rabbit."
Indeed, the falcon calls back to him something snarky, after the claws fail to grip anything, but the Demon King just rolls eyes. "You'll have to figure out some better way to hunt than just looking for movement. No, I don't know how to tell the difference either. Figure it out."
There's another snarky caw, even as the falcon moves back to land on Nobunaga's arm, which is also holding up a bow, his right arm holding an arrow at the ready.
"Yo," that's his only greeting to Adela.

Adela fell from her kneel onto her knees then, dragging her palm down her face before she made to stand back up. Perhaps she should have had a nicer reception for the man that had taught her how to ride a horse, but the fact that she'd had no luck finding anything was starting to get to her. She was starting to think the forest was purposely trying to thwart her...
"... Hello," At least she remembered to return the greeting, even if it wasn't immediate.

He doesn't move to help her though, in part because Haguro is still there, but also in case of her pride.

A distant glance. "Do you have a spear? Supposedly the boars are some of the best here. But you'd have to be much more careful if you're only using a bow."

"Are you hunting for food, practice, or other?"
He held up a hand, because he was starting to get the hang of what people didn't like revealing... Maybe. "I ask because if food, I'll help get a deer buck, knowing it won't go to waste. If it was just Haguro and I, I suppose I could give it to Masamune to make good use of, but it's too much to carry back from here, and would just lure out creatures I don't wish to deal with alone. And feeding Kimon seems like a bad precedent of offering sacrifices."

Nehra, when was the last time she'd had venison? It had been such a long time, and it sounded so good...
"Very well. It would be too much for me alone as well, though I am unsure of just how much aid I would be," Adela said as she approached, driven by both hunger and by curiosity. That sword looked so... Ornate. Different than what she'd seen before, but maybe there'd be time to look it over more closely later.
