It takes in the light magic and the glass lenses inside work just like a magnifying glass under the sun might. Concentrating it into sharper beams and releasing it.

Fascinating! And is there any way to control the size of the beam?

[ He is sooooooo tempted to open it up and look inside. But he didn't want to do that without permission, or in case he might accidentally damage something. ]

[Luckily, they are very sturdy gauntlets. They need to be since the owner is actually very rough when he fights...!]

There is, all he has to do is control the amount of light magic that he uses in conjunction with the gauntlets...!

Excellent! [ He looks up at Izuku with a grin. ] And you did all these modifications by yourself? That's amazing!

For the most part, yes...! I did have some guidance from a few of my classmates. But Alchemy made it easy enough to do.

[He looks a little embarrassed but proud of himself.]

If I can ask, what sort of things have you worked on, again?

[ He definitely should be proud of himself! Fenton is thoroughly impressed. ]

Ah well, I've worked on all sorts of things! Back home I was an intern for one of the greatest scientific minds in the world. [ An unpaid intern, and said scientific mind didn't seem to like him all that much, but details. ] So I helped with a lot of different projects.

[ Like the Gizmosuit, which is not something he can easily talk about without giving the secret away. ]

But I've also worked on inventing a few things on my own. One of the things I developed myself is a synthetic crystal that, once it gets moving, actually increases in acceleration and gains energy, rather than slowing down.

[He's amazed! Thinking of a wheel that would slow down over time but instead, it only got faster? That's some sweet engineering!]

I feel a little nervous, getting to see what I've done must be basics for you!

[ He shakes his head a little. ] Not at all! Everyone has to start somewhere, and being able to do that is still an amazing feat!

[Try not to get too eager, Izuku! He's a little embarrassed for being so nerdy! But he really wants to see what the man has made! It's like watching the support-class but better.]

Of course! And here, just lemme...

[ He's already opening his bag as he speaks, and starts to rummage through it. It's oddly full for some reason? And he has to lift a few odd-looking pieces as he searches for his invention. ]

[ His smile fades a bit as he continues to go through his bag, switching to an expression of frustration. ]

I could've sworn it was in here...I don't remember taking it out...

[ After another moment, panic starts creeping in as he double-checks the contents of his bag one last time. ]

Oh, blathering blatherskite, I hope it didn't fall out...!

[ The assortment of pieces in his bag start to rattle and hum suddenly, and Fenton's eyes widen a bit. ]

[ And that's all that he manages to get out before pieces of armor SHOOT out of his bag and into the air, surrounding him and starting to lock into place. ]

[ And in just a few moments, Fenton is standing in a full suit of armor, wobbling just a bit on the unicycle as everything settles.

Hesitating for just a moment, he glances over at Izuku and chuckles awkwardly. ]

...right, so I...might have forgotten to mention one other thing I've worked on...

[Izuku almost feels awkwardly bad for the man at first as he fumbles with his bag and things! Maybe he lost it?

But suddenly there are all sorts of zaps and zips and armor is flying all over the place and Izuku has to duck his head from something almost hitting him and he snaps up with a shocked expression!]

... Eh????

[Fenton looks incredibly different with that robotic gear?! Is it robotic gear?? It looks like- a Hero's Costume!!]

Ehhhh????

Y-Yeah, so uh... [ He rubs the back of his head. ] Back in my world, we do have, uh...superheroes. They aren't as common as in your world, though...there's definitely not a school for them, anyway, but um...

[ He gestures to himself, a hand over the logo on his chest. ] I'm Gizmoduck.

[..... Wow???]

... Gizmoduck? Superhero?!

[....!!]

Y-you're a real-life superhero, Fenton-san?! That's- That's amazing! Your suit, your style, I can't believe it! A cybernetic-type hero with engine-type capabilities? Guns? Projectiles? What else?!

[Someone might be a total fanboy for this kind of thing...]

[ He chuckles, slightly embarrassed. He really does need to stop doing this. ]

Ah, well...There are weapons and projectiles, as well as some other gadgets, but a lot of the suit's system seems to have gotten deactivated when I first arrived here, and I haven't quite gotten everything fixed yet.

But the suit does also enhance my strength, speed, and durability, and I do still have access to some things, like the suit's extendo-arms and extendo-torso, and blade saws that come out of the shoulders. Recently I was able to get access to these... [ Raising up his arms, he activates the shields. ]

[But it's so cool...! When the shields activate Izuku practically lights up like a lightbulb.]

Everything is a result of the suit?! How do extendo-arms and torso work? [He genuinely wants to know?!] If this sort of technology existed in my world I can imagine how powerful that tech would be to support groups looking to enhance pro hero work... This is amazing!

[Someone is becoming a fan!!]

What sort of superhero work do you do, Fenton-san?! Er- Gizmoduck?!

In a way, yes. But the suit is run by my mind. [ He taps the side of the helmet. ] So I still have to be able to assess a situation and react accordingly for the suit to function correctly.

[ While he does get a little embarrassed about this stuff, he can't help getting more into it the more he talked about it. ]

As for the extendo features... [ He takes just a moment to extend the torso, rising up in the air a little bit for Izuku to take a look, before coming back down. ]

And it's all pretty standard superhero stuff; protecting the city, thwarting villains, preventing crises...

Wow... You're really amazing, Gizmoduck-san.

[Izuku really is in awe. He's met a lot of pro heroes by now, sure. But there's just something special about meeting more of them. Different ones. Ones that have the same sort of tact as the ones he knows. It's just a world he loves seeing and admiring to.]

It sounds like you're a real pro hero. Are there any tips you can give to me? I'm training to be one too so I want to do my best.

Aha...well, thank you.

To be honest, though, I am still a pretty new hero, having only been doing this for a few years. There's always more to learn, but as long as you do your best and remember what you're fighting for, I know you'll be just fine.

[Even just that little bit still has Izuku smiling gratefully. They're both learning!]

I'll still do my best, that's what I've got to do if I want to be a pro hero someday too. [He flusters.] It'd be so amazing to get gear like yours...!

Honestly, that's all we really can do, sometimes! There will still be mistakes, and we might mess up a few times. But as long as we keep going and giving it everything we've got, then we can pull through.

[ He's saying these things to himself as much as he is to Izuku. Sometimes he still needs to remember them too. ]
