⇨ Forest's Edge (Closed to Xiao)

[ It was a nice day - which really meant no rain or inclement weather to be heard of. Razor really liked days like this where he could quietly enjoy the trees without interruption. But, he hadn't really expected to see anyone else out here on the edge of the forest- it's typically very quiet and people don't always spend time out here. He watches the figure for a few moments. He's not really making attempts to hide, but he's not announcing himself, either.

He watches for long enough to decide if he feels like it's safe to approach. After all, he's never seen him before, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't spend time out here.

He's slow when he does, watching. Cautious as he was always taught to be. ]

[ He doesn't have a lot to say. ]

[ It isn't really unusual for Xiao to come out here. The quiet reminds him of many of the remote regions in Liyue. There are times where that is needed for the adeptus. As curious as he is about mortals, he does not fit in among them even here. He does not know how to really adjust or what to do in a crowd of faces and those that are flitting about, going on with their day like he does not even exist.

Though he no longer hears their voices inside his own head, it is overwhelming to him in a different sense. That's why Xiao takes to the forest as often as he is able. This is why he finds a tree to sit under, spear across his lap as he meditates to clear out his own unfocused thoughts.

Not that he's unware of others. He is. Thus the moment someone approaches, his eyes snap open. ]

It is quiet here.

[ More so than the city and the inn anyway... ]

Ah --

[ Razor watches him for a moment, curious. A lot of people he's met seem to enjoy the feeling of the city. The noise, the people, things like that. He agrees, it's quiet out here.

He's careful to not get too close. If the other wants quiet, Razor is courteous enough to not get into his space. ]

Only animals talk.

[ He looks up to the tree. ]

Also good for practice.

[ His magic. Electricity was easy, but the other elements were... not. ]

Their sort of chatter does not bother me.

[ What a polite person, to respect Xiao's personal space so. Then he follows the other's gaze upwards towards the tree. ]

So that others do not get caught up in it, I assume.

[ Not everyone has the best control over their magic. That's true for even Xiao. ]

Oh. Like them. Better than city.

[ He glances back towards Xiao, having through for a moment he heard something in the tree, but it seems to just be a bird passing by, chattering something that he doesn't understand at another. ]

Yes. Elemental...dangerous. Could hurt someone.

[ He's mostly worried about fire, it seems like it could be so out of control. ]

Magic for helping. Like at home.

I think I can agree with you on that point.

[ That the birds and their sounds are better than the city, that is. After a moment of listening to the other speak his musings out loud, Xiao's gaze returns to this strange boy in front of him. He seems... Concerned? Is that correct? ]

[ And that's the part that gets him. He had a good grip on Animal magic by now, but Elemental was so different from what he's ever used. ]

[ And he's quiet, listening. ]

[ Not that it does any good here but. Well. It means that it is something familiar all the same. ]

Are you saying you accidentally hurt someone with fire elemental magic.

[ He considers this man for a moment. It's not beyond him that they're from the same place if he understands Visions. ]

Not yet. Can. Very easy. Don't want to, though.

[ He looks around. ]

Why....practice alone.

[ Plus, he just likes being alone. ]

No, I suppose that it doesn't.

[ Since their Visions do not work. Rather than that, it's just to establish that they are, in fact, from the same place. ]

You are likely better to practice with at least one other. Someone that could offset the skill in case you do lose control. While you may not hurt another person by yourself, you could still cause damage to these woods.

[ He hadn't really considered that. He likes the way being alone is out here. He likes being out of the way of people. And while so far it's been fine, there is potential danger to the surrounding woods. And he'd feel even worse about those, to be honest. ]

[ And he sounds like he means it. ]

[ As someone that also prefers to be alone most of the time, Xiao understands. ]

Of course, that only needs to be considered if you desire to practice. Otherwise you do not need to have your solitude interrupted.
