She’s not alone, it seems, though this fellow is much more occupied with the crab scuttling about his feet than he is with her. When the crab suddenly turns on him, Blaze can’t help but laugh. Sorry. ]
Goodness, what did you do to offend it so?

I'm about to throw it into a damn pot.
[ He stands up, eyeing the woman. The matching gold of her eyes to his makes him tip his head, curious. Is she half-giant? She's certainly half-something. Must be here for the job, too—and though he's normally disinclined to work with anyone, the loss of his usual...well, fucking everything has him more cautious. ]
You going down?

At least she keeps any further giggles to herself. ]
Aye, that’s the plan. I was looking for a suitable place to lure the creatures ashore.

He raises an eyebrow. Luring's not a bad idea. ]
They'll need bait.
[ Man-eating sea slugs means the bait is obvious, but he'd rather not use himself unless he needs to. He eyes what's around them. His luck might've been nonexistent with the crab, but mm. He's considering what else might be there that he can turn into a proper lure. It's a minor problem of hunting something in a world he doesn't know. Everything he's learned over the years don't apply here. ]

Not that it’s particularly relevant at the moment. ]
I was already prepared to play the part, unless you’ve a better idea.
[ She wasn’t expecting to find help here on the beach, but she certainly won’t look a gift chocobo in the beak. ]

If I were you, I'd split a fish and bait the corpse instead.
[ Though if she wants to use herself, he's not going to stop her. She looks like she can handle it. His sword shifts in his grip as he begins to scope out where they can draw the monsters up. It can't be too far. He suspects they'll turn around back to the water if they realize they're being led on a chase. ]

I might’ve been too quick to take “man-eating” as completely literal. If all they want to do is feed, then a fish should also suffice.
[ She follows his gaze along the beach, figuring the gears in his head are also turning. ]
I’m Blaze, by the way.

[ He studies the waves, watching the way they break against the shore. It'd be easier if he knew more about these creatures. How willing are they to come on land? He hasn't spotted them in the shallow waters since he's scoped out the area. But he seems to settle on a location: near a circle of driftwood, close to the waters, where there's a chance of corralling them.
And. Well. It might be literal. One simple way to find out. ]
If they ignore the fish and come for you, we'll know who's right.
no subject
That we shall, but we’ll need a fish first.
[ Her eyes flick from the pinprick prints the crab had left in the sand to where Geralt stands. The corners of her lips quirk upward. ]
I don’t suppose you can call one up here, hm?
