Clue, Do them In [closed, Dark Web quest log]
π§ WHO: Toshirou Hijikata, Sougo Okita & Tsukuyo
βοΈοΈ WHAT: "Clue, Do them In Quest". It will be terrible and I'm definitely not convinced that they will actually solve it but hey.
πΊοΈ WHERE: MagiCast (TM) office building
β οΈ WARNINGS: It's a murder mystery so... MURDER, death. Probably a lot of stressed out chain-smoking. Will add more as needed. Fourth wall breaking because Gintama characters.
[ It is an unusual quest to say the least. Not like the usual stuff that shows up but then it was posted on the Dark Web. Tsukuyo keeps her eye on it from time to time a and while she definitely has misgivings, the quest itself sounded so weird and nefarious that her Gintama spirit wouldn't allow her to do anything else then at least check this out.
When she arrives at the MagiCast (TM) office building she's not exactly enthused to find out that others have already arrived on the scene to help solve the mystery. It's not that she's completely antisocial but it would have been nice to have at least some warning beforehand that she's going to be investigating a locked-down office building with a bunch of strangers.
Except once she is escorted through to the first room in which the murder might have taken place, the Conference room, it's very clear that her fellow investigators aren't such strangers after all... ]
Oh. Ya two are here.
[ Since when did another character arrive anyway?! She has no clue whatsoever when Sougo got here. ]

But this new quest...it could be interesting. While he adapted to civilian life way too easily, he's curious about solving a case once again. Maybe he can make it difficult for everyone else, wouldn't that be amusing?
Unfortunately, he ran into Hijikata on the way there. He did his usual bit of annoying him and trying to injure him, but it turned out Hijikata was heading in the same direction. Damn. That party pooper puts a damper on anything fun. It can't be helped though. At the very least, it feels like a day back home, even with no Kondou-san.
So once Tsukuyo walks in, she'll see the two Shinsengumi idiots in the corner where a kitchenette is. Hijikata won't be fully visible--as Sougo is currently dunking Hijikata's head under the running water of the sink.]
Hey.
[Nothing weird going on here.]

Tsu-- Tsuku-- urgh--
[SAVE HIM.]

Oi, we've got the murderer here. A serial killer - there's another one in progress.
[ Is she serious? Hard to tell. She's not hurrying exactly but she does walk straight over to intervene and turn that tap off - in the manner in which you would deal with some errant children who are playing up and acting out. ]
Why are ya murderin' yer friend? [ Said like Sougo has just taken his "friend's" favourite snack or something. Also, sorry both, she doesn't have a full idea of what your relationship is really like - bar maybe seeing some of their character notes. As far as Tsukuyo's aware, they're comrades. Why would you try and drown your fellow Shinsengumi in the sink?? ] We're s'posed to be here to solve one, not start another one.

Another stick in the mud, huh. Wouldn't a ~ninja courtesan~ be more wild? Then again his reference point for a kunoichi is the masochistic stalker natto girl.
Sougo would try and turn the sink on again just to spite the both of them, but he also is curious about the murder. Tsukuyo's at least right about that, but Sougo won't give her an inch of agreement. He'll cross his arms and lean against the wall for now, giving her a pointed glare. And Sougo's not helping Hijikata get untied, he's got to do that himself.]
He's not my friend.
[Ha ha ha. Hijikata and Okita, friends...that's all he'll say for now.]

Bastard, when I remarked on the victim having no external wounds that wasn't an invitation for you to reenact your murder theory!!
[He focuses his attention on Tsukuyo. He knows that she's reliable, so he'll pettily ignore Sougo for the time being.]
The victim is in the break room. We've already been given a list of the people present onsite today. It's in my inner jacket pocket.
[She'll have to fish out the envelope on her own... or she can untie his hands, that's also an option.]

Her eyes scan down the list of names. ]
...Probably the lawyer, right? [ She doesn't want to make assumptions but ] They're usually fairly cold-blooded.
[ She stares at Sougo. ] Are ya gonna untie him or what? [ Meaning Hijikata, obviously. Seeing that the sadist isn't exactly going to rush to do so, Tsukuyo will take it upon herself to do to untie the mouse cable - seriously, who does this sort of thing? ]
Have ya questioned any of 'em yet?
no subject
What.
Anyways, we just got here. [Sougo didn't have time to question any of the suspects, but he had enough time to tie up Hijikata and try to drown him in a tiny kitchen sink.]
You've gotta a point about the lawyer though. Between you and me, I think a policeman could've done it too.
[He jerks a thumb at his unfortunate colleague. A not-so-subtle hint. Even though Sougo clearly wants to frame Hijikata and be done with it, he still reaches out for the paper Tsukuyo is holding as if he and Tsukuyo are the only ones working on the case. Pay no attention to the Hijikata in the background.]

Don't just go deciding that it was the lawyer purely because they're all soulless sharks! And what the hell is that supposed to mean, Sougo?!
[He's pissed!! Why the hell did the sadist prince have to tag along with him?!]
I actually did ask some questions, unlike you, and while we didn't get to speak to anyone one-on-one yet the office manager confirmed that the lawyer was in a meeting with the two external CEOs... which is kind of weird, isn't it? Whatever is going on there, why was the MagiCast CEO not present for that? It sounds kind of important.
