Working for a Living
(It’s been a mostly uneventful month for Harry as he prepares to get the café ready for another day of getting orders, bracing for customer complaints, and collecting gold onto the cash register. He’s been putting his head head for a while ever since Camelot’s weird magical chaos months ago and he is hoping that there wouldn’t be more trouble being onto him this time around.

Feel free to chat with him, request him for menu specials, or annoy him if you character is in a mischievous mood.)

Fire, Fire
(Ever since he picked up elemental magic, Harry hasn’t been lucky in getting the hang of fire magic as he attempts to conjure fire properly without causing an accident with very little success for weeks. But upon remembering the suggestion from Crowley on the network, Harry decides to have an impromptu bonfire party/camping trip where elemental magic users can team up to train their magic by making bonfires and having dinner cooked over the fire. And if anyone does accidentally mess up with the fire magic, the other elemental mages can help in putting it out before starting over again.

The only problem is: he doesn’t know that many people with elemental magic in Avalon very well, so he decides to send a network post to gauge any interest of the last-minute party.)

The Libryrinth Part 2
(Now that he’s got another magic to assist him on the quest into the library, Harry hopes that it will go smoothly this time around, though he still knows that his fire magic isn’t the greatest at the moment. The last time he was at the aforementioned library, he and Ken have encountered a scary monster while his time with Louis was more subdued while they searched for the symbols among the book shelves.

With a quiet gulp down his throat and Rose nervously squeaking inside his jacket pocket, he then turns to his companion after he checks around for any signs of danger or if either the monster or the librarian is nearby. He doesn’t want to get both himself and said companion into more danger than they need. Let’s just hope that their new secondary magics won’t fail on them today.)

Well, here we are. I hope that we’ll able to do this quest with our new magics by our side. Are you ready for this?

[He has no IDEA what anything is. How anything tastes. And he barely understands cash transactions on a personal level, never mind how the cafe line works with people who have caffeine addictions they need to!]

What's the sweetest thing on the menu? Whatever happened to the tea ceremony? Why is all the tea black? What's coffee? Mocha?

(Ah yes, a customer is here! Harry comes to attend Oda’s questions after he was nearly done with cleaning the tables.)

Oh hello there. Those are really good questions. There are plenty of good cakes and pastries to choose from, although there are also crepes, cookies, and waffles available for ordering.

As for the tea ceremony, I never have one before and, sadly, not even Avalon has one, but I will ask the manager if we can add one soon.

Coffee is a hot drink that is made from roasted grounded beans from a shrub that have red round berries. Mocha is a chocolate-flavoured variant of a cafe latte, usually served in a glass.

Well, I haven’t thought of it, but back home, I actually like treacle tarts. But in here, I tend to favour the waffles in here since they are light and airy and you can choose to add any toppings you like or eat them on their own.

(Thanks in part to a co-worker being an awesome cook when it comes to waffles no less, he’s gotten to have full respect for waffles overall.)

Let me guess: Tea ceremonies are quite common in your world compared to my world and Camelot? I wonder what they are like.

Well, chocolate is a sweetened treat in either paste or block form made from roasted and grounded cocoa beans. They are often eaten on their own in block form or used to enhance other drinks and foods to taste good. (And very handy to restore your mood after surviving a Dementor’s Kiss too, though Harry wisely chooses not to tell Oda that just to be safe.)

[ Ceres has been thinking about coffee ever since she first tried some at CameCon, and some quiet snooping around has led her to a cafe, where they supposedly sell this stuff. Good.

She saunters up to the counter and leans on it. ] Hey. [ She nods at Harry. ] You got coffee?

Oh yes, we have coffee in here today. Is there any kind that might interest you today?

(Well, she is in luck since this cafe he works at does sell coffee all the time. It is always busy at certain times, and it is thankfully not so crowded at this time.)

[ There's a pause as she stares at him, her eyebrow raised slightly.

Giver her a moment, she's new at this. ]

...There are kinds?

Yes, there are plenty of them to choose from. Here, let me get you a menu to have a closer look.

(He then goes off to find a menu and returns with the aforementioned item as he hands it over to her and explains about each and every one single coffee-based drink the cafe offers.)

Libryrinth Part 2 (Lucy) | CW: blanket warning for use of blood magic

[Lucy's own hainu familiar, Setsuko, has her ears down and her tail is still in nervous anticipation. Lucy tries not to let her apprehension show on her face, but she can feel the sweat on her palms. Nyuu was the one who entered this place last time, and after Lucy had read about it in her notes, of course she wanted to see it for herself. Plus she felt much more confident about her fighting skills than Nyuu.

She's able to turn into bigger, stronger animals now, and while she still has a ways to go with her new blood magic, she can at least make small projectiles and make one prehensile tendril as if it were one of her original vectors (except everyone can see it now).]

Yeah, let's do it. I even brought a container for the slimes.

[It's in her backpack and no bigger than a large-sized tupperware. Hopefully it's good enough, because she couldn't think of anything better.]

That’s good to hear, I’ll beg that the slime could be handy in this quest too. I hope that we can find more things and that monster and figure why it is in here. Alright, let’s go. Just walk carefully and try to not make any noises: the monster and the librarian could be anywhere right now.

(Harry makes sure that he doesn’t make too much noises as he and Lucy navigate around the bookshelves, Rose is also doing her best not to let fear get the best of her. She wants to be just as brave as her master too.

Meanwhile, Harry is slowly getting better at kinetic magic over time that he has moved onto more slightly advance spells, though he knows that he has a long way to go as well. So far besides soft quiet footsteps from him and Lucy, there are no other sounds so far.)

[To make sneaking around easier and more quiet for herself, Lucy's form shrinks as she turns herself into a black cat, but not before she hands Setsuko her bag to hold in her strong jaws. With her improved sight, hearing, and sense of smell as cat, Lucy is able to gauge whenever the librarian comes close to them. Each time that happens, she paws at Harry's leg insistently until he stops. Then when the coast is clear, Lucy trots ahead and looks back at him while flicking her tail.]

Is this it?

[Once they've found the entrance, Lucy returns to her original form and whispers her question.]

(The moment Lucy in her cat form paws at his leg as soon as she hears footsteps from the librarian, he immediately stops and immediately alerts Rose to not make a single sound as not to alert her to their presence.

Once she (the librarian) is gone, Harry waits for Lucy to find the entrance and once she is able to find it and wants him to confirm it, he nods quietly while he walks towards it.)

Yep, that’s the entrance we’re looking for. Let’s just hope that we can found that monster inside it. Ready to find them, Rose?

(The pink Pygmy Puff squeaks softly in enthusiasm, bopping her head in agreement.)

[ After giving all her money to the younger girl named Izzy, and spending whatever she managed to collect after that. On books regarding Earth Constellations, Historical prevalence's of Greek Mythology of the Stars, Mediterranean numerical studies of the stars of Earth, and all wonderful horrible pricey books that she spent hours reading. Mona was indefinitely poor - like always frankly.

On one hand she has a book talking about 'Constellations and their Placed Presence upon all.' Whilst her other hand is over her stomach, and she looks up at the waiter with hopeful eyes. ]

A water too please... If its free... A lemon....

Sure thing, miss. So your order is going a salad, a glass of water, and a lemon, right? Sliced lemons are often given for free whenever someone asks for them here. (He wants to be sure that he is not missing a single thing.) I’ll be back with your order real soon.

(A few minutes later, Harry returns to her with the salad, water, and some sliced lemon. And man, that was super quick indeed.)

That was - very fast... [ Mona blinks but she's not complaining she's so hungry! At that her familiar seems to flutter about the other, normally it does not do that unless it means to say something important. By inference she concurs with an out loud thought. ]

[When she'd seen the questboard ad, Suki had thought relocating some giant bees seemed simple enough. She had perhaps underestimated exactly how enormous said bees would be, however - fuzzy insects as long as her torso may not be the worst thing she's seen, but they're certainly daunting.

The veiled hat and skin-shrouding suit she's worn don't seem nearly as likely to serve as protection against the bees venom as she'd hoped.

She glances over at Harry, offering a wry veil-shrouded smile.]

Think we've already shrunk and just hadn't realized it?

I think so too. I had suited up and I was just looking at how big the bees are that I kinda forget that we might be shrinking in size to tackle them.

(He did got shrunk during the Winter Solstice Night Run with his encounter with the pixies, but this time, he might be willing to get shrunk to look into the bee matter. He was too busy getting suited up to notice.)

Oh wow, these things are huge, no wonder everyone is scared when they saw them the first time around: most are used to seeing insects as small tiny creatures. And those stingers, oh Merlin, they are sharp enough to pierce through anything. We might need to be careful in dealing with them. Got any ideas or plans to handle them?

We both have kinetic magic; that should help with actually moving the hive.

[Help they'll definitely need. Trying to carry it by hand is almost certainly a recipe for being shrunk.]

We had beekeepers on Kyoshi Island; they'd use smoke to pacify the bees when they needed to harvest honey. Maybe we can use that.
