🧙 WHO: Naoto and YOU! ⚔️️ WHAT: April Happenings! (And TDM prompts!) 🕒 WHEN: All throughout April 🗺️ WHERE: Camelot City, quest locations ⚠️ WARNINGS: blood magic mention/use!
It was the only way to keep an eye on his doppelganger, however. He knew the moment it'll leave it'll start claiming that he was the real Naoto. It sent shivers down his spine. He didn't know what he'd do if that thing even dared to talk to his friends, to those he actually managed to befriend.
That thought actually got him angrier, more determined to beat this doppelganger into the ground. ]
Stay down, damn it!
[ ... Fighting with one hand was a lot harder than it looked. ]
[ Defeat 30 slimes. That was it. Easy peasy. Nothing much to worry about. Naoto was well on his way to getting two down! ]
Whoa!!
[ If he could stop losing control of his elemental magic. He knew he couldn't depend on his blood magic right now, due to not eating proper, so elemental magic was his best option!
Right now, his current choice of earth magic was working... but it also threw him off balance with all the moving rock. That was nice. ]
You're new? [ She begin with the most obnoxious tone, her arms flail outwards. Fingers snapping out as water sliced through some of the slimes attempting to come after them. ] And you thought it was a GOOD idea, to come flitting about in a fight with your method of magic using!?
[ She sounds snotty and annoyed, but she's more worried about him than anything. ]
[ Blood magic was easy. It was totally easy, as it was like using his own Drive back home, but with some bonuses. It was fun to know where people were just by listening. It was loud at first, but now was a lot easier to know where they were.
But elemental magic... the magic he came here with, was another story. He often lost control, no matter what he tried. It was to a point to where he thought he'd never get better! ]
Okay, once more!
[ Determined as ever, Naoto was currently using the training grounds in order to practice his ice magic. He intended to try and throw some ice as a projectile, but ended up creating an ice cube instead. ]
[While elemental magic wasn't giving Kratos much trouble, he still liked to practice it whenever he could in order to keep his skills sharp. When he arrives at the training grounds today, there's already someone else here. This isn't a problem, of course, but he does take a moment to just observe the young man's progress before starting his own training.
It's... apparently not going as planned? Nice ice cube, though. Well, Kratos didn't have much going on today, so if the kid's open to it, perhaps he can give him some pointers.]
I take it that wasn't the result you were expecting.
[ He huffs, glaring at the ice cube. He wishes he could do all the cool stuff he's seen others use! But he knows that requires practice, but... where does he even start? Who knows. ]
But then again, I'm clueless with this kind of magic. I don't know what I'm doing.
Mm, well. We all have to start somewhere. For a beginner, this is actually quite impressive.
[He plucks the ice cube up and looks it over, inspecting it probably closer than he really needs to. It's an ice cube, dude.]
When it comes to projectile spells, you're going to need to learn how to incorporate wind magic. I would suggest focusing on getting the shape of your ice right before trying that. Unless you're planning on pelting your enemies with ice cubes, that is.
[he kind of doubts that's the case, though. Here kid, he's gonna toss your ice cube to you.]
[ Stella's not usually one for the training grounds (given that she uses her magic for Literally Everything Except Fighting), but it's good to get the practice in now and then, if only to keep Violet from glaring holes into the back of her head. So here she is, looking to be in good cheer as usual and – oh look at that, Naoto's practicing.
She hangs back for a second, so as not to disturb his focus, but when she sees the results of his training... she's not laughing at him, exactly, but that sure is a peal of delighted laughter coming from her. ]
Oh my God, you are gonna be in business when summer comes around!
Okay, but you're not gonna tell me that won't rock during summer. Everyone else is gonna be sweating to death and you? You're just gonna be relaxing with an ice cold cup of whatever you want, because you have ice powers and anything can be ice cold.
[ Whether she genuinely believes this or she's trying to lighten the mood and take the edge off Naoto's frustration is for you to decide.
... But it's probably a little bit of both. ]
Elemental magic's super useful though! It's cool you've even got a chance to mess around with it.
[Homura observed with her arms crossed. She couldn't tell whether to laugh or facepalm. But Naoto took the time to help her, so she could just stand by and not judge...for about five seconds before approaching.]
Try practice forming an object with the ice before throwing. You're splitting your concentration with too many tasks.
[She holds out her hand, a cold wind radiating from it; it was hard for her to get used to, preferring to control fire. Slowly she began to form, of all things, a fan. Not yet fully accustomed to ice, the best she could do was mimic the style of one of her rivals.]
Even if it's an ice cube, work from that and improve.
[Usually whenever Aerith hears an outburst at the training grounds, it's because something has probably gone a little more than haywire. It tends to involve the blossoming of magic spells gone awry here, there, and everywhere. It's also usually followed up by a variety of ducking and shielding.
As such, it's actually quite a pleasant surprise that it winds up being... an ice cube. The least threatening thing of all other potential things that might have happened, especially when ice is involved. After all, not even back home is all magic aim perfect.
It takes her a moment's investigation just to make sure that there is, in fact, no ice projectiles being flung around that she'll need to otherwise evade and when she's satisfied that neither of them are in any particularly immediate danger, she manages to find her words.]
Oh, I don't know. That actually looks pretty good.
[Thumbing at her chin, she takes a moment to examine him from head to toe, trying to gauge age, composure, and him as an entirety.]
A projectile... but it's not easy. I rarely used magic like this back home.
[ He sighs, scratching his head. ] I've seen it back home, and I know I learn a lot more through seeing things being done, but it really is harder than it looks.
[ Naoto raised an eyebrow at the newcomer. He sensed her earlier, but thought he'd just leave him be. ] But you really think an ice cube looks good? It's lame if you ask me.
He knew he got cleaned up as much as he could, as well as buying nicer clothes, but he couldn't help the butterflies in his stomach. It was weird. So weird. This was a friend date, so why was he working himself up so much?
Maybe it was because it was Makoto. Yeah, that checked out. He quickly knocked on her door, getting it over with. ]
You can do this, Naoto! [ A little pep talk never hurt anyone! ]
[One more breath, one more run of her hands down her airy, lime green dress to smooth out nonexistent wrinkles... and she reached out to open the door, praying her dress looked okay, that her hair in a low ponytail over her shoulder didn't have any curls out of place, that her smile wasn't too nervous.]
Naoto couldn't help but stare for a moment, really surprised by the look. Naoto felt somewhat underdressed, given that he chose a more casual ensemble, but he decides to push it aside for the sake of the date. It can't go wrong, damn it! ]
Couchless Co-Op
Until he realized that he can't play due to lack of a hand.
So spot him in the corner, sulking because he can't join the fun. ]
I hate this stupid place! [ A valid claim... if he wasn't curled up on the floor with a pout on his face. ]
The Answer is No

[Quest] The Librirynth Part 2
Whoa!!

Right now, his current choice of earth magic was working... but it also threw him off balance with all the moving rock. That was nice. ]
Ehehe, sorry....
me yelling!! NAOTO!!!! i love naoto
What in the - WATCH OUT. What a mess your form is horrible.
[ Mona states, allowing for her water to strike deeply at a slime behind him. Something she arguably was use to doing in Teyvat. ]
i love u already for knowing my son
[ He adjusts himself on the new ground after the girl fired off her water magic. ]
I'm still new to the whole magic thing!
sdfasd my friends are big fighting game nerds so i know about him through them!!

[ He's still unsure on how to get them to move, but damn it, he was going to get them to move! ]
Hm... I wonder if we could use flowers. Bees like flowers, right?
[Quest] Not-So-Humble Bumble
I know someone who works arranging flowers. We can try asking her help.
I'm just here for the honey. [SOLID LOGIC!]

[ Any way to get rid of the bees. ]
.... I mean, I am too, but that's not something you blurt out in front of everyone, y'know.
