⠀[ There is much thanks to be had in her conversation with a certain Demon King, a conversation that reinstilled the idea of her desire to conquer what was the unknown. Mona did not spend her life studying hours of sciences and magic during her time in Fontaine led by her teacher. To find herself dismantled in the new world upon her. She was adamant, and hungry now for knowledge.
As if she were insatiable and no matter how much she read of this new world- worlds science or logics of magic. All that it did was give her more questions needing answers, and thus her silent obsession had concurred once again. Once she was on a trajectory that would lead her to a path of understanding, the woman often would forget both to eat and take care of herself. To her however, she felt this was her being too attached to the physical realm (eating and feeling hungry). As a divine reader - that was not acceptable!
Mona’s over criticism of herself, and way of life would rightfully end up with her - well the way that she was now. Mildly tired. Exhausted. A bit of a fool, and hands full of books, scrolls, and the likes. Messily walking about unable to see in front of her, tired and attempting to make her way back to her inn room. Is absolutely unaware of what is in front of her - esp with how her stomach is grumbling and how she feels rather light headed.
Needless to say that is where your character comes in! She immediately bumps or crashes into them- or even falls over them. Depending on what would suit the situation, and her lightheadedness from lack of eating. Would surely cause her to black out for a moment, only to return to the mess of her books, scrolls, and other writing materials all around your character and the floor. Immediately of course, she snaps. ] ⠀Why were you in my way?
⠀[ Then double tracks, and goes backwards. As her statement was NOT to sound rude, it merely was that she felt that way. After all, ultimately you did choose to walk toward or in her direction. That is how Mona thinks, but upon realizing how rude she sounded and perhaps trying to salvage the situation. Needing help - she spits out a reply. ] ⠀Sorry, that was my fault I was not looking where I was going actually.

[ It seems you have as much interest as her, after reading in her books and spending quite a bit of time on the stories of Avalon. Mona found that near the edge of the Forest of the Fisher King, there was a ‘Archivist.’ It took some time for her to discover where he was, let alone what would be inside. Suffice to say the nosy and pragmatic Astrologist managed to figure out after quite a bit of reading. Excitedly, the woman enters the steam cart with you and asks you what sort of things you wish to discover?
1. Arthurian Legend - Mona will come along and read with you about the stories of those who own this realm. She is very interested in the Magicians of the story, such as Merlin, Morganna, and the Lady of the Lake.
2. Information about the beastairy - Mona will join you in studying the beings of this realm! After all understanding what lives alongside you and what you may have to face in a fight - at this point who knows. Mona wants to learn as much as she can.
3. Potion Making/Recipe Studies - Mona will show a lack of interest in it, and will join you but expect her to not be as immersive. However she will thusly attempt to study constellations or fortune telling - or what she can find here about it. Bring it to you, and expect you to exchange information as if you were both colleagues.
4. Your Suggestion!
After the exchange and decision is presumed, the two of you will meet the Gnome and be asked questions!! How fun. Mona is ready and willing to answer anything for the price of Knowledge, are you? ]

[ Her mun cannot decide what sort of job she wants to torment or put Mona through, so she is going to let other people decide for her.
You can assume that she is looking at job postings at a bulletin board at a Bar.
Or potentially she can work for you, and she is here for a job interview.
Or you have a suggestion for her, and where she should work.
Mona at this point needs money like any other person, and will more or less do anything for money. She is very bad also at managing money, and will spend all of it on books. Excessive amounts of her money, on books. Or instruments, or study materials. ]⠀

⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀➨ The "Pure of Heart" Bridge
⠀ [ The first time Mona came upon this in her reading materials, the legend of the bridge was something she did not quite understand the intention of. Moreover, upon her own exploration and endeavours into looking it up. The women were more surprised by the validity of it - a Bridge with no walkway. How was this a bridge at all? Upon studying the markings that lead to the statement of: "The pure of heart will form the bridge with a leap of faith." Rather excitedly, Mona already churn through a matter of thought. As someone who was studying Light Magics, something conferred to her that there would be more implication of it here.
Whether this was true or not mattered little ultimately, thusly after the first week of studying the bridge on her own - she had decided to take a chance and leap! Mona of course thought that if the worse case scenario had come, her glider could suffice. Sure enough it was not needed, and with a light tap of her heels against what was a glimmering light beneath it. The woman chirped - with such merriment. Her voice was high pitched, and she was a scientist in a bout of sudden discovery. Immediately she danced along the bridge with a cocky smile, and a little twirl here and there. Perhaps you catch her here! Walk along the bridge with her or surprise her by coming out of nowhere.

Inevitably, she asked your character to come along and join her on the bridge. She explains to you the magic of how it works, and that so long as you are ‘pure of heart!’ You will be absolutely okay, she is interested and invested in how the bridge works when more than one person walks upon it! ]⠀ Is that okay? [ Reading the stars was something she spent her whole life doing - the life she chose as Mona Megistus. So here she was, ankle deep inside the waters of a large fountain. One that sat out in the open, but came out from a wall. Trying again, to read the stars at the most basic level of her knowledge. The first and old ways of Hydromancy. The hustle and bustle of the city does not bother her. It is far off - the other side of the wall. Or in the distant alleyways that turn into the main city - and she is but a girl ankle deep inside of a water fountain. If anything she is climated to it, thanks to Fontaine and Mondstat alone. It was simply background noises to her. One that hummed gently, and reminded her the world around her is living. Beautiful, and alive.
During the night she can be found at this Water Fountain ( Far longer though than this), one that is turned off at those hours. The fountain itself was a decorative item from her understanding. One that was taken care of by an elderly lady who owned the property. From which Mona had very boldly asked if she could borrow it for a spell. The woman had delighted her in agreeing.
Thus, settled Mona into its water nearly every evening. In some back alleyway out of the eyes of many common folk, a gentle water fountain that was out in the open. Still. Briskly. Perfect for her attempt to begin constellation reading.
As her mind concentrated in the attempt to aculate her new power of Light. The water seemed to hum a bit from the magic alone, and as it were… Her attempt at causing the lights that reflected upon the waters to strengthen. Do in fact, reflect rather brightly. Mona opens her eyes and is rather excited by this. However when she begins to read and look at them. She is unable to understand any of these stars. In a way, this was worse than what she had initially thought - truly had Teyvat lived beneath the False sky?
The Lunar Moth, her familiar, seemed to rest at the wall watching idly as the girl attempted to learn more of this world and its magics. It’s wings flutter and when it takes notice that Mona is a bit disheartened. It has means to lead someone back to her, in hopes to remind her that she is not alone. As such, your character will find themselves gently guided by the curious Lunar Moth dancing about. Wherein it may lead down a dark alleyway, where a soft light will trickle out in the distance. The form of Teyvats constellations will dance about the closer that you get, a reminder that. She truly wishes she were home.
However you find yourself toward her, whether you are a gremlin climbing walls. Or gliding down them. Or popping out of who knows where - inevitably the Astrologist holding a gentle light in her hands will be one of the last things you see. Before she very embarrassingly and confused - because she's not sure how you even figured out how to get here. Turns off all the lights, and the two of you are very awkwardly left in the dark. The sounds of people in the distance having fun is about all that fills the silence until she awkwardly says.] Can I help you?

[Turns out when you run into Morgan, he makes extremely weird and undignified noises. Also, being both superior in mass and actually nourished, he doesn't even take a step back. Instead, he slaps both hands to his mouth, absolutely horrified.]

I've found that magic here tends to be personal in many ways. That the way to use it is suited to what works for the individual. In my case, I could do things like this before, so it suits me to do it primarily with kinesthetic motions.

I am sorry I asked so much at once, I am interested in figuring things out. That is what all these books are for, the magic here is ... Really amazing in a matter of speaking, in my world magic isn't so accessible like this to everyone. [ Mona has quite a bit in her arms, of books and she looks at the other. Taller and thankful that they were able to help her in collecting these items. ] What about your home land?

[ Mona is more - blindsided by it all. She attempts to collect herself, realization sinking in. It was more that she were lacking understanding as to why he would even flirt with her. When they were having a random conversation - it just dawned upon her so oddly. The woman had rarely if ever experienced such exchanges, and even when she had she was far too blunt of an individual. It often steered men away - so when he says this. She is flustered.
Salvaging the situation she looks away flipping her hair. ] Of course. Yes. I knew that, thank you. Of course you would f-flirt with someone like me. I am the Great Astrologist after all.
