April Catch-All
🧙 WHO: Akihiko and open
⚔️️ WHAT: Various Options
🕒 WHEN: All month
🗺️ WHERE: Red Springs Area
⚠️ WARNINGS: none as of yet
Fight Club
With the open areas around the Red Springs being so spacious, Akihiko had taken to training primarily there. The fact that the springs had their own training ground nearby for more formal stuff when refining his magic didn't hurt matters either. However, given this is Akihiko, nobody should really have been surprised when he started issuing blanket invitations to come spar with him there on a regular basis. Today was no different. After a quick message to the network, Akihiko could be found in his normal spot. Newcomers to Akihiko's impromptu fight club would find him easily as he would be found shadowboxing, weaving lightning spells to punctuate his punches. All you'd need to do to find him is follow the sound of thunder. Upon arrival, his golem familiar - a three foot tall humanoid pile of rocks with a golden glowing eye at its head - would shuffle over, offering a bottle of water taken from a picnic basket hung over one arm. Better take it too. It's very insistent.
Not So Humble Bumble
Having become something of a regular at the Red Springs, when he heard they had been having trouble with giant bees, Akihiko practically jumped at the offer to help out. After all, training in the proximity of giant magic bees didn't seem to be that great an idea. Of course he'd been briefed on their abilities, and rather than accepting specialized gear for the job like a normal person, Akihiko took a very unique response. He'd gathered scraps of cloth from anywhere he could and had tied them onto himself to cover as much skin as possible. He approached the bees' hive looking like something out of a post apocalyptic wasteland before taking a deep breath and calling down a thunderbolt to set the hive one fire, and bracing for a fight.
Wildcard!
Feel free to come up with any prompt of your choice for Akihiko!

Yes, of course Shinji's primarily here to give Aki shit. That's how this works. He does take the offered water bottle, though; that's just good sense, and that way he has it if he does get pulled into shit.

"Strongest? Nah, that title was taken by someone very firmly out of my reach." After all, the way Minato faced and beat Nyx alone was something that Aki had to admit to himself he couldn't do.
"I'm just worried about being the best I can be at this point."
no subject
"And you're still zapping shit. Why am I not surprised."

"Nyx and the Dark Hour are taken care of, but Shadows are still a thing. And then there's Labrys' whole... situation. I wish you could meet Labrys, I think you'd like her. She's... Aigis' older sister I guess. It's a whole thing."

Shinji nods. "The traumatised robot. Risette mentioned her - Risette in Liminal Space, not here. We get so much timeline bullshit I'm not counting on overlapping with anyone." Not with Minako ruled out, anyway.
(It's not Kotone's fault and he won't make it her problem.)

"So you've met Rise? Good to know. All this talk of timelines and whatnot still confuses the heck out of me."
He makes one more punch, holding his fist out in front of him. "I much prefer to focus on just what's right in front of me."

Shinji's still sure that if he'd done that in the first place, Ken's mom would still be alive.
"You, narrow your focus? Never."

Blame the black ships and Matthew Perry and AMERICANS. Oda would love to embrace all that, but so far he's stuck with Portuguese and European things! What is totally within his time period and scope however: "Do you know how to sumo wrestle?"
Nobunaga is only 179 centimeters tall, and really not that heavy, but he has the arrogance of someone who never loses despite his clearly not-typical-modern sumo build.
He's also willing to learn other fighting sports, but so far boxing just looks like monks martial arts, but weaker.
Re: Fight club
"I know how I suppose, but I doubt either of us would be particularly good at it. Center of gravity is too high. I've trained with sumo wrestlers before, but trying to be immovable just isn't my style. I prefer to be as light on my feet as possible."

"Oh? All right, teach me your sport!" Sorry, he literally doesn't know how not to give orders.
