[ And even though he knows his friend can be unlucky, he still follows him down the path. He takes off running a few moments behind Bennet, so he's steps behind him. The worst that can really happen here is that they run into something they have to kill. And killing those somethings is pie for later.

So he has zero complaints about the idea of running into things. ]

Okay. Good.

[ He hears something, though, and he has to assume it is just slime but -- ]

Slow, Bennett.

[ It's the warning because it sounds close. ]

Aha, sorry... [As asked, Bennett slows his pace. He let his eagerness get the best of him, as he is wont to do, but Razor is good at reining him in when needed. He waits for Razor to catch up to him, but when he does, he recognizes the look on Razor's face. He knows that face.]

Do you hear something?

Yes.

[ It's a simple, earnest answer. He nods his head towards the sound - to his right. ]

Ahead. There. Monster probably.

[ Which means they'll have to be ready to take them on. And that's alright with him. He can kill as many as he wants and they can have pie later. And honestly - it's probably the best reward he could have asked for. ]

Monsters? Normally, that'd probably be a bad thing, but considering what we're here for, we couldn't ask for better luck!

[Bennett goes ahead and draws his sword. Best to be ready to fight in that case.]

You take the lead, and I'll back you up just like always, partner.

Yes.

Okay.

[ He pulls out his claymore and is ready for whatever may come how. He's fine with monsters, yeah, but he doesn't want anyone charging in at them since he has to assume they won't be too easy for them.

So he steps forward to take the lead, listening attentively until he shifts left at the next turn, stops, and readies himself for the creature before them.

It looks like this was the path to start, because when he sniffed the air, further ahead.

Well, at least they got this, right? Fighting - that's the easy part for them. ]

[Something seemed to be emerging from the shadows. Several somethings, at least. Bennett braces him, and places a hand on Razor's back. He casts a spell, and suddenly Razor will feel a surge of strength, gaining an attack buff courtesy of Bennett's magic!]

Go get 'em, partner!

[And rightfully timed, as the first wave of enemies encountered appears to be three large, hog-sized beetles, skittering towards them. Eugh, it had to be giant bugs, huh?]
