He does understand that they do resist physical attacks. He gets what that means because the idea isn't totally unfamiliar. ]
What's --
[ He's at least unapologetic. ]
Incapacitate?
[ Said really slowly and carefully. ]

It's, um... [Her expression scrunches as she grasps about for a concise explanation.] Render unconscious... "Knock out"?
no subject
Oh. Like sleep.
[ Just wait to hear the new words he's learned, everyone. He's going to be so happy to share. ]
Good idea. Easier to move when sleep.

So-- then, yes? I'm glad! [Yay! Being helpful!!] I will plan to do so!
I suppose we should decide if we are capturing it, next. Or just milking the venom... [Rinea wrinkles her nose.] Though I think that sounds perfectly dreadful. Perhaps capturing it would be safest? What do you think, Razor?

[ He nods happily. But then her next question he tilts his head and considers. He goes through the pros and cons of each option in his head, but then he brings up something important. ]
Safer to capture.
If won't wake up.
[ That guarantee needs to be in place. ]
No mess ups with venom.

[Rinea pulls a pen (fascinating thing, that; comes with its own inner inkwell!!! Sugoi!!!!) from her pocket to draw out potential cage shapes in the book.]
I will need to get close to cast the alchemic formula, but I think the most important part will be retrieving-- --um, grabbing the spider out from the cave. Can you do that, Razor? Will you be all right? Adalhard is much too slow, I think...

[ He speaks so confidently, although if the weight of the sword on his back is any indication. He is pretty strong. If anything, Razor's more confident doing something like this than he is when interacting with most people one-on-one. But, he thinks he can probably trust her, too. She seems confident and comfortable with the idea, and to him that means she's going to do her best possible job. ]
Fast, too. So is Wolf.
[ Which...is what he calls his familiar so far. ]
We get you close. I'll get spider. We bring in to help.
no subject
Yes, very well. Okay! [Rinea closes her book and stands up again, willing herself not to waver. Now that they're actually... you know.. going through with the thing, it's a bit scary...]
Adalhard, please act as rear guard. [The monster nods politely, hefting its shield and spear.
Rinea peers out at the cave entrance one last time, then back to Razor. Okay. Houghhhh. It's going to be fine.] Shall we?

[ Razor lifts his hand to move over his wolf companion. It takes a few quiet steps ahead of him to scope out the area, and make sure that things are safe to continue on as they move. He hopes he could tell, too. He's not sure if he knows what a spider or spider web smell like. All he knows is to be careful and make sure that he doesn't get caught.
As far as he's concerned, he's done things at least this dangerous before. So the dangers don't seem to bother him. ]
Will. Keep safe.
[ After all, she had the magic that would help knock them out, right? He needed to make sure, above all, that she stayed safe so she could use her magic.
He's not really quite sure how far they'll need to go, but he'll know the moment he starts to see spider webs that they're close. ]

The hillside's cave entrance yawns wide before them, leading into the underground and away. All is still. Rinea doesn't dare speak as they approach, looking around at the bushes and grasses for signs of the arachnid burrows. Will the webs be solely on the ground, or do the spiders also craft them in the air...?
Just inside the cave, a spindly, skittering shape darts from one side of the entrance to the other. It makes no sound... but the feeling of being watched is firmly pinned upon them.]

Razor's eyes shift, and he keeps his senses sharp, so he's quiet, too. He's certain he would be able to smell something approaching.
As he steps, though, he notices some webs along the wall and stretches to the ground - not far from his feet. He slows, turning to look towards Rinea so he can point it out to her as a warning. A note to make sure she knows that one could be anywhere around here now. Especially since he's already spotted a web. ]

Just a few steps further and they're close enough, now, that Rinea thinks she can make the casting distance. Taking a steadying breath, she opens her tome and brandishes her pen.
The alchemic symbols, drawn in her careful hand, glow with an eerie light and float off the page, drifting into the cave and out of sight. ]
Wait a few minutes before you enter. [The be safe she wants to say is obvious in her whispered tone. The magic should have worked, but still... who knows what might be in there.] I will create the cage.

[ He answers quickly. He's careful by nature. He listens, watches, smells. He's vigilant and attentive. Despite that he doesn't always understand words, he does understand that. So, he'll wait for her to get the pieces set, and then he'll make the move and lure them in. He's a good hunter - effective.
And he wants to do right by her and himself.
So he'll do the best he can, and he'll make sure that they get the job done because she did exactly as she said she would. ]
