Emerald herself isn't particular happy about being back at the training grounds, but it seems less time consuming than taking a class. She was able to figure out certain parts of her light magic on her own, but other parts are less intuitive to her. Hard light, for example, continues to allude her. The idea of making illusions is one thing, the idea of conceiving light into a solid object is another.

It comes out automatically when her concentration is broken by some girl walking into her and she gives the girl a little shove to get her to back up. Emerald's probably not the best person in the world for someone with social anxiety to run into, particularly since she's off on her own for a reason to begin with.
