Since the last of February, Alec has pretty much dropped off the radar, what little he was on the radar he was. But... his Familiar is still around and seems largely unconcerned.

Also there is a hart wandering around, scruffy looking and wild. There is nothing particularly strange about this creature except he seems to be wearing a tie that's entirely too small for it and looks frankly uncomfortable. He is also a little on the thin side, but it might be hard to tell with the heavy winter coat of fur.

I. City Slicker

The Hart is roaming around the city of Avalon, relatively unperturbed except he spooks at loud louses. That includes people talking too loudly or shooing him away from their food stalls. Feel free to come across him nosing at said stalls (he seems to have a certain proclivity for cabbage), hiding in an alley, or bolting down the street in a panic.

II. Round I

Harts are majestic creatures but also fighty. He in particular seems to be in a fighting mood. Most threatening looking men are getting charged at. Women however he seems to regard with some fondness which generally means he keeps his distance unless he feels they need to be protected, in which case he will come to their rescue with a considerable rack (of antlers)

III. Wild Side

Of course Harts are best found in nature, so you may see him roaming for the forest. Perhaps he's covered with fairies and casually grazing or running from wolves. It's best not to startle him in any case, though. As he can get a bit...flighty.

[Robyn is finally starting to get the hang of her magic in order to turn into a wolf again. She hasn't been practicing at the training grounds, but in the forest outside of Camelot instead, since that's the best place to learn how to be a wolf. She's grateful for having the freedom to come and go between the city and the forest whenever she likes.

As much as she likes roaming the woods, she didn't expect to see a hart covered in fairies while grazing. She's not going to try and hunt him down--she's only one wolf and she's a bit too small to take on an adult deer by herself--so she contents herself with merely watching him from the bushes for a bit.]

His ear flickers as he catches the scent and he lowers his head, front hoof pawing the ground a bit as his shoulders tense. Some of the fairies light up in a cloud, but others laugh in silvery voices, asking the unseen to come play and help remember.

Somehow Robyn can sense that the fairies are calling out to her, and if they're doing that, there's no reason to keep hidden. She emerges slowly, trying not to scare off the hart right away.

"Er...hello." She's not sure if this hart is just a regular animal, someone's familiar, or someone with animal magic who can shapeshift like she can, but she figures it wouldn't hurt to give a greeting regardless.

The words stir something in him. Or maybe stir him in him. He jumps a mile , sending the fairies scattering, giggling in the air and dances back.

"Christ don't do that! I can't control these bloody instincts and the last thing I need is to be snuck up on." Even now he's dancing back and forth and tossing his head as if he's trying not to lower it.

"Sorry!" Robyn is still learning the ropes on how to be a wolf when she's in the form of one. Of course a deer would react like that if a wolf approached them.

"It's just...it felt like those fairies wanted me to come closer, for some reason."

"Don't just listen to fairies. Didn't you read any books as a child." He moved away from her, snorting, rubbing the antlers against the trunk of a tree but still seemed like he wanted to charge.

"And who the hell are you anyway?"

"Robyn. And of course I read books! Just not that many about fairies." Robyn had heard a few stories about fairies, of course, but she'd always preferred more adventurous stories about slaying dragons and giants to those ones. Maybe that was a little to her detriment in this case.

"Do you live here? Or are you someone who has animal magic?"

He snorted. Shook his head.

"Someone who was pulled from elsewhere and thought it was a great idea mucking about with magic. I thought... that it would be easy..." He lifted his head, scenting the wind, his eyes going blank for a second as a minute shiver went under his skin.

"It's been hard for me, too. I already had some magic back home, but when I came here, I had to learn how to do it all over again."

Consciously changing your form wasn't quite as easy as simply leaving your body whenever you fell asleep, as it turned out.

He shook himself.

"I hate it. Bloody magic. I can't remember how long it's been. I just got in this form like a moron and couldn't figure out how to turn back."

"Have you slept at all? You can get stuck as an animal if you're too tired. Resting can help."

Personally she'd disagree with him about the magic, though. As troublesome as it could sometimes be, back home it had offered her a freedom her society wouldn't have allowed to a girl like her.

He grunted.

"It's not easy to rest in this shape. Everything takes over. There's nowhere...that feels... easy to rest." Safe he meant. He tossed his head and pawed at the ground.

"I hate it."

"Well...maybe I could keep an eye out for you while you get some rest somewhere, so you can change back? If anythin' tries to bother you, I could scare it off. Most animals here won't go after a wolf."

Anything that wasn't an animal would be a whole other story, but at least it was an idea.

"Lucky you're a wolf." He paced a bit, uncertain, ears flicking. "How do I know you won't eat me?" It was perhaps foolish to ask but nothing could be taken for granted in a place like this.

"I won't. I know you're a person with magic like me. Besides, you're bigger than me."

Even if Robyn was hungry enough to try and eat him, she doubted she could take him down all by herself. She was already smaller than an average wolf as it was.

"Fair enough." He flicked his tail and sniffed the air. "Not here. It's too open. I don't like it. Somewhere close... dark... Do you know?"

The fairies scintillating around them giggled as if they knew but if they did they weren't telling.
