I Can Bring You In Warm, or I Can Bring You In Cold
🧙 WHO: Din and whoever he runs into
⚔️️ WHAT: Settling in, doing quests, the usual
🕒 WHEN: Throughout February
🗺️ WHERE: Around Town
⚠️ WARNINGS: n/a but will be updated.
A - Caravans
[He cuts an imposing figure, wearing full armour and well armed. Not exactly someone you want to mess with. Except for the part where he seems a little, well, lost. For lack of a better word. He keeps looking around, taking in the crowd as if he's looking for something vaguely familiar and not finding it. He almost seems spooked when one of the horses snorts.
He finds his way to a less crowded cart and takes a seat on the end. With his helmet bowed, he looks deep in thought, or asleep, it's hard to tell. Eventually he sits up though.]
They didn't happen to say how long this was going to take, did they?
B - The Libryrinth
[This is probably one of the easier jobs he's done in a long time. Information gathering? That's nothing, especially compared to protecting a kid. If he has any reservations, it's probably due to the magic angle. Which he still doesn't have the best grip on.
He doesn't look like he should be able to move quietly but he does. He can sneak, and stay quiet. It's not too difficult to get up on top of one of the shelves and consider the layout of the maze. Which is what he's doing until he hears a noise, turns and draws his blaster to point it behind him.
And possibly right into your face.]
C - Selkie
[The job seems pretty straightforward, and so Din doesn't hesitate. Find this man and bring him back before he goes to fight a kraken. He can do that. Alive or dead doesn't really matter, though he prefers the former and this suits him well enough. He's done worse jobs.
Though he does have questions.]
So is there a puck or something I'm supposed to take? Or a description of the guy?
[He can work without one, it just makes the job harder.]
[D - Wildcard]
[Want something different? Looking to plot?
urbaninja or by PM and let's do it!

He sticks his head out from behind the shelf and frowns at this armored man. And makes a shooing motion with his hand. Put that damned blaster away!! Killing Karma here will only give your location away, it's not worth it. ]
no subject
You gonna come out then?
[He says in a low voice.]
no subject
[ But the blaster's lowered and he won't be taken by surprise again now that he knows it exists and can keep an eye on it, so Karma comes out from behind his cover, hands in his pockets that bulge with the indication that he's clutching something inside. ]
Did you figure the librarian would turn out to be a vampire or what? Geez... [ Karma looks Din up and down: heavily armed, and heavily armored. ]
You won't be able to hop the shelves wearing all that, won't you? Which means taking the long way around.
no subject
[He glances Karma over as well, noting the pocket but not saying anything. He knows enough to not ask questions. There's also the suggestion that since they're both here, they might as well continue together.]
I just like to be prepared.
no subject
Haha! How reliable~ Are you prepared for navigating the library, or are we going with Leapfrog, or the Right Hand Rule?
no subject
That's the job, isn't it? I always come prepared.
no subject
[ He'll have to see, shrugging and taking a step back to make some space. ]
Then, I'll go ahead and follow your lead! You're the one with the gun and the armor, you wouldn't make a kid like me take point, would you?

Turning the corner, he nearly runs into an armored man. The Dunmer's hands shoot up, since he's guessing the thing in his hands is a weapon.]
Woah! I mean no harm, I promise.
no subject
You here for the job?
[He finds it silly, calling it a quest.]
no subject
[He lowers his hands, so they're now level with his chest. He can be quite deadly with just a dagger, but that armor looks tough, and he'd rather not get into a fight with this man.]
no subject
[Din lets the blaster lower further. Conflict is not on his mind either, rarely is, especially if they're here for the same reason.]
Though sneaking around isn't exactly my first choice. But I guess we'll just get it done.
no subject
I used to sneak around all the time when I had to go down into a cave or hideout.
[Finn looks the armored man up and down. He's not seeing any eyeholes in that helmet.]
How do you see out of that?
no subject
Visor, illuminates a few things. I can see fine.
[Not quite infrared, but it does allow for a few things to show up.]
But if you can sneak, might be better for you to go ahead.

[The cart seems to be one that is less-occupied for a reason; there's definitely some unusual and imposing figures here. One of which is the red-furred beast who's lying on the ground, head in his paws.]
I'd say get comfortable. If this is going to take some time, you might as well nap.
no subject
Guessing that's your plan?
no subject
I was considering it, considering no one else in here has been offering much in the way of conversation.
no subject
I might let you get to it, unless you've learned anything extra about this place than what's been told already.
no subject
[He shifts a bit to get a better look at Din.]
Have you learned anything extra?
no subject
[He really doesn't have a lot to do with magic. That's the kid's job and, well, he's not here right now. Not that he could explain it.]

[ What he hadn't anticipated on was suddenly having a blaster in his face from someone he hadn't been able to see as he snuck around the top of the library shelves. His wide eyes traveled down the length of the barrel, along the arm, taking in the armor and familiar shape of the helmet... ]
Boba Fett?!
[ He couldn't help this hissed out answer; Fett was supposed to be spending the next thousand years getting digested. What was he doing here?! ]
no subject
[Din says, same low tone, after a long moment and a shake of his head. He's caught a little off guard, not expecting to hear that name, much less being mistaken for the other bounty hunter (their armour's not that similar).
But if this guy knows Boba Fett, then they must be from the same world. But it's not quite enough to make him lower his blaster just yet.]
Pretty sure he's not here.
[He'd made a point to check.]
no subject
S-sorry. I haven't exactly met many Mandalorians.
[ Yep, that was a good excuse. ]
You're after the same job?
no subject
Not a lot of us left.
[A nod.]
Solving the maze?
no subject
I know the feeling.
[ He paused then, peering around him, tilting his head down to see if the librarian was nearby, before answering. ]
Trying to. I've been having some trouble.
no subject
[It's probably going to affect him now to, since they're both on the job. He'll shift a little bit more into the shadows.]
