Backstage

Backstage was a busy place during the whole concert. There were people getting ready, people helping people get ready and even just friends visiting them to wish them good luck (or to break a leg) or just help relieve some of the stage fright. Each artist or group had access to a room of their own if they needed some alone time. All they had to do was put up a sign that the room was in use.

On the stage

The theater stage was decorated with appropriate Valentine's Day decorations - roses, hearts and other simple, but meaningful things. The curtain would come down whenever someone needed time to prepare the stage to look different and there were several talented musicians helping out to bring live music to the stage.

As they say, they stage is for the performers to take as their own, one or several at a time.

In the audience

The audience has seatings for those who desire it, but there is also a space for anyone to stand and dance. There's plenty of space even if there is a section of the audience sectioned off for a... pool? Why was there a pool in the theater? Well, it certainly wasn't for just anyone to casually swim in but instead it was reserved for a special guest making an appearance at the concert.

The Lady of the Lake had been invited by Ren to watch the concert. To be fair, he had also invited King Arthur, Merlin and the Lady Morganna, but only the Lady of the Lake had accepted the invitation (although looking at Merlin's instagram afterwards may prove different, as he was there but just under a disguise).

Snacks and beverages are also being served at the theater lobby. Of course, since it was Valentine's Day, there was plenty of chocolate to go around.


After-party

While the after-party was mostly aimed at performers to celebrate a successful concert, no one was turned away from it. Anyone wanting to visit the party to congratulate on the success or to just chat with the performers was definitely welcome to.

The party was hosted at the theater too, since why not use the space you needed to clean up the next day anyway. Anyone was also welcome to join the clean up process the next day as well, but Ren certainly wouldn't force anyone to help out.

[Nyuu doesn't recall seeing this man during the preparations taking place days before, but she doesn't mind. He must be new, or she also could've missed him. She eyes the glittery petticoat, then the glitter all over him. She smiles kindly, shaking her head.]

I'm afraid not, but I'll take you up on the water. Wouldn't want to get dizzy from dehydration while on stage.

[Thankfully, it is indeed Nyuu this time, and she turns her head, positively beaming. She gives a quick bow of her head. She would've given a deep bow from the waist, but her feathered friends are still eating seeds from her hand.]

Thank you so much, Mickey! I'm glad you got to see~ These two birds deserve some praise too. They sounded just as lovely.

[She could have sang without the birds, but with her animal magic, Nyuu figured "why not?"]

Ah, thank you! I enjoyed your performance as well, both your singing and your guitar playing!

[She bows her head. She'd bow from the waist, but the birds are still eating from her hand. At the question, she blinks at the term "myumon" but smiles kindly as she corrects him.]

I'm afraid not, this is the first time I've heard the word myumon. That, and these are actually horns.

[She pinches one of them with her free hand. The solid bone doesn't give.]

I don't know why they're shaped this way...

[Uenoyama's attention perks up when someone directly addresses him and looks surprised for a moment. Then glances at the cup he drank from. Yeah, he probably should've checked before doing that. But he also didn't expect everything to be like that here.]

I was thirsty.

[Which is FAIR, yes, he was thirsty, but he didn't have to down the first thing he came across. He usually always checks those things. A musician's life, huh? Could be... he doesn't want to get completely off hinges, he won't be able to enjoy what he's doing in the end.]

Did you perform? I don't think I saw you on the stage.

Yes, I do, I just left it, [Uenoyama nods at the room behind him. Aside from some regular props and chairs, there was no one in there. And from the looks of it, Uenoyama was the only one in there until now.

His hands drop from the guitar and he frowns, glancing around one more time, then focusing on Crow.]

You're going to perform too?

[The guy just left his own dressing room, he doubts he has any information on Haruki, Kaji or Mafuyu. But Crow did say he's a musician so- he's curious about it. He wants to hear his music.]

He will not let her degrade herself, dang it!!!

"But I think that just makes your singing all the more impressive!" He insists. "You got... what's it called... Natural talent, yeah!" He nods, to himself and to her, making sure he got the words right. "Why, it was nicer than a lot of the stuff I'd hear from the opera house back home."

I'd love to learn more about the music you know, Crow! Having those songs in my head all day... I feel like it'd get me really pumped and ready for anything!

... I suppose it'd be rude not to take the compliment, ill-mannered as it was...

And your choice of showmanship was... certainly different than what I'm used to, but not without appeal.

He wouldn't be Baron if he didn't act like he owned the place. Ren looked up from where he was sitting and smiles.

"You assumption is right. I know the songs by heart, but it never hurts to practice and hum them out loud."

[Ren welcomes her in, of course. He has a relaxed smile.]

Next time we hold a concert, you should definitely join us.

Ren has a cup of juice in his hands as he turns his attention to Maribelle.

"Ah, lady Maribelle. No, you're not interrupting me at all. In fact, I had wished to congratulate you on your performance."

[saxsongs]

[Ren grins when he sees Crow. He had been meaning to go talk to him, but Crow was faster. Though he looks a bit sheepish at him asking about his birthday.]

I didn't want to draw too much attention to it, but thank you. And it was my pleasure to work on this project.

[Then he smiles.] You were awesome on stage. I really liked both of your songs and your voice is really amazing.

[Once the lady has arrived, Ren approaches the pool with a smile on his face.]

I'm glad you could make it, Lady. Is the pool to your liking?

[Ren approaches Stella once she's coming back from the stage with a huge smile on his face.]

You were amazing, Stella-chan. Good job out there.

Ren doesn't seem to mind at all, being bumped into. He offers Aurora a charming smile.

"It's quite alright, Lady Aurora. Is there anything I can do to help?"

After-party

[Ren is oblivious to Uenoyama's state as he walks over to him with a smile on his face.]

Uenoyama-kun, you all were fantastic. I'm glad I was able to finally hear your band perform... Mafuyu-chan certainly has a good voice.

After party

Haru-chan! [Ren approaches him straight when he sees him around with a very warm smile on his face.] You were amazing. Your band is really great. I'm glad I finally heard your performance.

[Yeah, he's not going to figure it out. Yesterday's event left less litter behind than he expected since most denizens of Camelot are apparently more thoughtful than the average citizen of Edo, so they're going to make fast progress through the rows at least.]

You can't just go calling people cattle! Almost everyone's going to take it as an insult, especially coming from you. I mean, aren't you a carnivore?

[Sure, the people on Prismatica still ate whatever they would have eaten normally, but since different traits came with different impulsive behaviours - more aggression for wolves, more clinginess for rabbits, etc. - stereotypes quickly became entrenched.]

[ She probably could flag someone down to help her, but so far, she's just been having other attendees do it. He offered though, so she's not going to insist he do. A little gratitude is all she asks, and offering to get her stuff shows it well enough. ]

Have you ever been to a concert like this?

It's got water and no one's raffed in it. Color me cared for.

[ She narrows her eyes slightly. ]

[ All her stuff just goes to Archimedes, and he forwards it to her since phones don't work very well underwater. ]

Archimedes only ever has the hard stuff, and pirates only ever have the same. Surprise me with something new.

[ He smiles at him, wondering what he's going to bring. She does like surprises. ]

I did say you were greedy.

[ She's just teasing him, of course. Well, the treasure map really does exist, but she's not inclined to give it to him now. ]

Let's see.. you're cogni so.. how about you hypnotize a different otherworlder to send me a different snack from Camelot for 7 days in a row. They all have to be edible, tasty, in tact, and safe to eat. Nothing that is not in a standard recipe for those snacks. No tricks. You cannot ask their permission first. If I get all 7 because your hypnotism is strong enough it hasn't been broken 7 days in a row at a distance, I'll give it to you.

[ She'll definitely tell each of the people who show up that it was Karma's fault and he can deal with the probably very annoyed people, but she really does have a treasure map. But he seems like the type who would find this fun, anyway. If he's gonna play with her, she's gonna play with him. ]

[ The water is just outside the dressing room on a cart, he hustles out to grab her a bottle before returning with it. ]

Here you go. I'm sure you're gonna do great out there.

[ He does a doofy, over-excited fist pump in the air to show his support. ]

[ Ichi pumps into the air with both fists in support of the performer's new found determination! ]

You can do this! What's your act like anyway?

[ His boss used to warn him that it was unbecoming of a yakuza to smile at literally everyone with his teeth like this. But, well! He's not a yakuza anymore! He can grin all he wants. ]
