( Red Spring: Training )

[ All right. He's been soaked to the bone. Insulted by both classmates and other losers on the trip over through the caravan. All the while his Quirk is 100% gone and this magic crap is being thrown at him. It's kind of a horrible time to be Bakugou Katsuki right now? Like, seriously, he hates all of this and definitely isn't having a good time of it. How he feels about it is something he's definitely going to keep to himself and despite what people think, he's actually an emotional person. Keeping his trap shut is the only way he's not losing his absolute fucking mind.

When it's explained that they can ask people to help them learn basics and maybe even figure out the new talents they've been given? Well Katsuki doesn't really want to ask for help. It's rough for him to admit that he needs it. However, he swallows his damn pride and goes along anyway.

So he's actually sitting there, taking notes on the smartphone ( though it probably looks like he's playing around to be honest )... And half staring at his open palm. There are no sparks, but flickers of light dancing around his fingertips. ]

Damn useless.

[ That's his opinion anyway. Maybe someone better tell him what all he can do with his newfound Light Magic. ]

[ You know who actually doesn't have a problem cleaning? This guy. It's almost a compulsion, really. No, he doesn't talk to the Trolls. It's honestly for the best and if anyone who knows Bakugou is around, they'd probably tell you exactly why! Not that it matters...

He sees the mess and just. Has to. Fix it. So expect him to either snatch your cleaning instrument out of your hands and berate you for a "piss-poor job" or actually throw a towel at your face and tell you to start working and to do it right.

( Quest: Pure Heart Side A )

"The pure of heart will form the bridge with a leap of faith." This magical quest bullshit is actually real.

[ So, as far as he understands it, in order to get the crystals that this lady or whoever wants, he has to cross this bridge. No big deal, right? Only... There's not... A bridge? And right now he can't really see anyone crossing it so it's not like he has any clue that he can just walk across. Though he'll probably figure that one out in a minute. ]

What's gonna be next? An actual sphinx?

[ Boy, your nerd is showing. And okay maybe he's having issues with the whole "pure of heart" thing? But that's not something he'll openly admit to. ]


( Quest: Pure Heart Side B )

[ Okay so now there's a crystal in hand and it's retained it's silver color. For now. Yet Bakugou is still walking towards the cottage, little vial in hand. Well, tucked into his pocket. That is, until he stops and holds the thing up to give it a good look. ]

This is some kind of shady shit.

[ So... Are you going to encourage him to go through with it or agree with him? His answer might surprise you! ]


( Exploring )

[ Otherwise... Katsuki can be found just meandering around the City of Camelot in general. It is a new location with a lot of stuff going on. Of course he's not moving about the city to enjoy himself and to just "take in" in the sights as it were. No, Bakugou is definitely sort of walking around with a purpose. It's like he is memorizing the layout of the city and mentally marking places of interest or of note in his head.

All the while sort of, you know, telling people that get too close to "screw off" and giving them glares to scare them away. Because that's kind of how he rolls.

Speaking of rolls... He might, in fact, stop in front of one of those bakeries. At least temporarily before trying to find something that might be a library. Something, anything that could give him information. All the while his phoenix flies overhead. ]

Get lost you damn turkey.

[ Maybe he should be nicer to her too... ]

[Tamaki is usually one to mind his business, at least here. But, given he's been made aware just how many of 1-A's students have arrived here, he's been keeping an eye out. It's hard to miss Bakugou; if his hairstyle wasn't easy to pick out his voice is. Not that he's saying much.

Tamaki's just paying attention. And he's paying ENOUGH attention to figure that despite appearances, Bakugou isn't just dicking around on his phone. His eyes dart to the light playing in Bakugou's palm as he wanders over, hands shoved into his pockets.

He doesn't say anything until he gets close enough, standing near where Bakugou has situated himself.]

... It's going to take some getting used to but it's not useless.

[ You know, the first kneejerk reaction that Bakugou would have here is to turn and tell the other person to fuck off and mind their own business. Probably with an explosion by the ear. His knuckles are even popping with the urge to do so. Unfortunately all it does is create more little flashy lights. ]

"Take some getting used to," ha?

[ However he's not as aloof as he appears. Bakugou knows damn well who it is that's spoken to him the moment that his eyes land on Tamaki. It's just that he doesn't really give a damn. ]

Wow. You must really be top of your class.

[He might have sat down with Bakugo, but decides against it, instead watching the flashy, sparkly looking lights dancing in one of his hands. Tamaki has been here long enough to realize that's light magic, and he suddenly understands at least some of why Bakugo might be upset.

The comments are mean, but Tamaki doesn't say anything, or really react beyond a grimace.]

You're at the starting line again. It just means you'll have to put in double the effort, but someone like you shouldn't have any trouble with that. I get why you're upset. I was too.

[there's a pause]

But the magic you have isn't useless. What have you figured out already?

[ Karma's entirely fine with getting the broom snatched out of his hands, content to sit back and let Bakugou do his thing instead of pushing the dust around like all Karma had been doing. ]

Sure, sure~ If you want something done properly, you gotta do it yourself, right? I'll stay outta your way!

[ Not out of respect or anything, but so he can saunter around the kitchen, look through cupboards, basically hold his investigation while Bakugou does the busy work that he insists on. ]

[ Sure... Bakugou will do it with a growl and aggressively clean. For a couple of minutes of course. But then he sees this jerk of a redhead just doing absolutely nothing and that kind of pisses him off. ]

[ If Karma turns then he's going to be met with a face full of broom. Dusty broom! ]

Yeah? What's up?

[ "Asshole" is a name Karma will respond to. And he's doing... something! He's doing his own thing, deftly pocketing something he'd found in one of the cabinets and does not turn around, so if he gets bristled in the back of the head, he figures he's got it coming. ]

[You know who takes a lot of pride in doing chores? Darin. You know who doesn't like being bossed around when doing the chores he prides himself in?]

[He's given Bakugou more than a few strikes but when he pitches a rag into Darin's face, that's the last straw.]

[It is very jarring getting thrown from one world to the next. And Izuku is still trying to wrap his head around the fact that he has yet again been thrown into a new world with no idea what he should be doing in order to actually get back home. This place is telling him all about learning new magic and it all is just a big amount of information to process. But he's managing...

There is a small baby goat that is following at his heel as well. Actually, he's not too sure if it's purely a goat since its coat is very...wooly. Wool-like. Like a sheep. And he's glancing down at the small creature with a small smile when he hears that voice-

Katsuki.]

Kacchan?

[... He can't help the way he just blurts out that name. The shock and surprise in his eyes as he stares at the other. And ... The sort of dreading ache he feels too. The last time they talked to each other it wasn't exactly friendly. It was- complicated.]

[ And everything pretty much comes to a full stop once he hears that damn annoying voice. Kacchan Kacchan Kacchan. Only one shitty person in the world calls him that. And yes, sure, he might have known that Deku is around, but he had been pretty much actively avoiding any and all contact at this point.

It's what the little fucker wanted, right? Just stop the shithead had said. So Katsuki had stopped and had been stopping for a long-ass time. But of course that's not going to last forever, is it? There's no way to keep away from someone when you've been forced into another world again...

Maybe the nerd doesn't know all of that though? ]

[It's been a long and incredibly weird day for both of them, it seems, and there's no reason to think it is going to get any less mindblowing. So, Tsuyu heads out to do the only thing she can think of as prudent at the moment: checking out the training grounds and getting some practice.

She's been out for a bit, going over some of the basic information she's gotten and playing at the spellwork with her kappa familiar for a little while before Bakugou arrives. Ah...well, if Midoriya and the others were here, there was no reason to think he wouldn't be too.

So, she sidles up.]

...I don't think so. It's not useless. Just different.

[ Long and incredibly weird does not even begin to describe. It's also tiring and extremely frustrating. In the back of his mind, he knows that the others are probably struggling too like he is... But since when has Bakugou been that conscientious? Like never, right? And the only defense mechanism that he knows to sheild how much he's really feeling is to be snappish.

Sorry Miss Frog. It's just a thing that's going to happen. ]

[There's a commotion outside of the bookshop, some woman, presumably the shopkeeper swatting Gokudera away with a broom. He's absolutely bewildered, holding a package wrapped up close to his chest.]

No! I'm not gonna-

[The woman jabs him sharply with the bristles in the chest and he takes a step back. She's just poking him right out the door and into the street, yelling at him about how he shouldn't eat books and how he's a thief.]

I'm not! Stop it, you awful hag!

[She lifts it to smack his face next, and he lifts up the package to beat the bristles away, growling his anger under his breath.]

[ Well now there's a sight. Not every day that Bakugou gets to watch someone being scared off by some shopkeeper. She's a bit of a vicious thing, huh? It's amusing to him, okay? And, to be fair, he'd probably be like Gokudera in this situation, being rude with the name-calling and growling and all that stuff.

So yeah. Completely funny to him to see it happening to someone that isn't him. And Katsuki isn't as chivalrous as some of the others from 1-A. ]

Just walk away. It looks like she's ready to kick your ass.

He's known this kid for three seconds and he's already had enough of his nonsense. He plucks the towel from his own face and pitches it right back at the kid, after using his elemental magic to soak it with water. He can be a bit on the petty side but you know what, eat shit.]

[ And Katsuki is absolutely petty in return. He throws up a quick barrier and the towel hits it with a wet splat before landing on the floor. In a wet heap. ]

How original. A plus on the worst form of retaliation I've seen.

[Ever since Ken got his dog back, he was more than willing to spend as much as he could with him. Between trying to run around Camelot and figuring out how to feed him here, it was a lot for the boy to handle. Not that he was complaining about his friend from home here, he just had to learn how to take care of him in this strange new world.

So when he was playing with his soccer ball with his dog, he didn't see where he was kicking it at nearby. Hope Bakugo is ready for a ball coming his way!]

Whoa, look out!

[ Most of the time he's pretty combat ready, you know? But out here, he really isn't expecting it. Especially since he's not starting anything himself.

So that ball hits him smack in the back of his head. Not enough to knock him over, but enough to make him stop in his tracks.

...Might wanna take the opportunity and run. ]

[It seems Bakugou isn't the only one who thought exploring and getting a lay of the land was a genuinely good idea. Ochako is harder to spot, but her familiar sticks out like a big, and we mean big sore thumb. The white dire wolf is about the size of a draft horse, with a bit more girth added by the fluffy coat it sports. Currently walking at the side of the young brunette, who is absolutely dwarfed by it. Ochako is...not large, not at all, but the difference between herself and her familiar makes her tiny stature all the more evident.

And god, she knows it.]

You know...if you'd let me up on your back, we'd get through the crowd faster, and I could actually map this place better. If I could just-- [She reaches up, to try and grab and handful of the wolf's coat, to swing herself up, and it stops immediately, plants its ass on the ground, and stares at her.] Oh, come on!! I don't know what you want! Do you want a treat? An ear scratch?? You keep looking at me like you want something but I don't know what it is!!

...Having an animal is hard.

Maybe you're insulting the thing by acting like it's a goddamn pet.

[ Because from what he's heard, that's not the case? Their familiars can come and go as they please. While they are bonded to each other in some mystical, magical way... The creatures are still fae to a degree, right? Even if they take forms that are suited to each individual, it's not like they need babysat by these things all the time. ]

It's sentient so don't go around treating it like it's your personal source of transportation.

[ Pyrrha is absolutely in agreement with Bakugo, especially as she, too, gets a better look at the vial. ]

It does seem to be pretty untrustworthy. I don't know about this.

[ Maybe...let's not go through with this... ]

[ Oh he's not thinking about tricking some old man though. However Bakugou had asked around about this lady that had asked this of him in the first place. ]

Fae are tricksters, right? So either this is gonna end poorly for the guy or he's gonna be fine and this is just to screw with us.

[ Which only makes the choice that much harder. ]

[Nanaki isn't exactly your typical quest buddy, but he's more than capable of handling himself on quests such as this. But even the feline beast is confused by the broken bridge before them. He steps near the edge, sniffing at the ground. Hrmn...]

It's a riddle. The answer is right before our noses, but it's cleverly hidden. We just have to find out what it is the message means, and we'll have our way across the river.
