Enter the Chosen
🧙 WHO: Colette Brunel & Open
⚔️️ WHAT: Catch-All? Arrival and such?
🕒 WHEN: February
🗺️ WHERE: Around in general?
⚠️ WARNINGS: Not off of the top of my head necessarily?
Arrival:
a: [Colette is used to falling. She does it all the time back home after all in tripping over....well. Air. Basically. But still. What she is surprised about is that she can actually cry out as she falls? Considering she lost her voice during her Journey in transforming into an Angel and all. Which. Apparently her wings don't work here either. She finds out rather quickly in attempting and failing to use them as she falls and goes down splashing into the lake.
The moment she is able to in surfacing from the water, as she wrings her clothes out in some attempt to dry them, she instinctively tries to call out for her friends. After all they had just been there, back home.]
....Lloyd? Lloyd?! Ah! I....I can speak again....? But how...?
[Her gaze lowers or at least attempts to in her hand raising to her neck, where there's a bright red jewel at her necklace there. It had all started with the Cruxis Crystal after all. Her being Chosen. Getting the blessings, the gifts from the Angels. In her having lost her voice in the process of her transformation. She's not sure what to make of it. Being able to actually speak again. Her mind flashes back to what she last recalls back home. Had it worked then? She isn't sure, given she then found herself falling....wherever this was. She glances around for her friends and companions, but doesn't immediately see them. Instead, she starts to head to the cliffs in following the others, figuring perhaps they know where they were going?]
b:
[Colette follows the others, and can probably be heard at least twice if not more in apologizing to the cliff beast for her tripping and falling, needing to be caught as she somehow ends up tripping over the edge as they make their way with the cliffs.
But once they make it to the cliffs proper and find the caravan and all, she will seem rather excited at finding.....a Protozoan? Noishe? Well. It isn't. Actually. But Colette doesn't necessarily know that and initially automatically assumes it is her friend's pet 'dog'. (Spoilers. It is. Not a dog.) Colette rushes over when she sees her new familiar.]
Noishe? But if you're here, where's Lloyd? He has to be around somewhere if you are! Wait.....something's different.....you're not.....?
[Her familiar shakes her head, giving a whine.]
Oh! Then....I can name you? You're.....mine?
[Colette asks, eyes widening when there's a nod in response.]
Oh, I have to think of a good name for you then!
c:
[Colette. Has no idea on phones. They don't have the most advanced technology or magi-tech in Sylvarant, being the declining world with less mana supply and all. So of course she is bewildered with the phone when given one. She's blinking at it with wide blue eyes, trying to go over the instructions in how to use it. She probably isn't at least initially using the headphones though. She's still figuring it all out yet.]
Ah! It did something! I think it worked!
[Did....something? She. She turned it on. She is so excited about that though as it starts up!]
I did it!
[Yes. She turned it on. It's. A start?]
Inn:
[Once they actually get there, to the inn to stay, Colette isn't necessarily expecting just one bed. Or that it is decorated like this with the rooms? She has no idea about Valentines though so she might just be rather confused about the decorations and the one bed when they are apparently supposed to share?
Also while entering she. She may have uh. Accidentally made a Colette-shaped hole in the wall in tripping. Oops? (Yeah, that happens sometimes. A decently regular thing. Totally normal, nothing to see here.) So. When someone else enters she might be a little sheepish and just. Immediately apologize about that?]
Ah, are you who I'm supposed to share with? I'm sorry! About....
[Gesturing to the hole in the wall.....]
Training:
[Well, she got used to figuring her Angelic abilities back home? Surely, Colette could handle this? She just isn't immediately sure on her newfound abilities with Light Magic yet. But she goes to try learn, to figure it out. Eventually as she practices though....
There's a sudden, brief moment when she manages to summon a small ball of light at her palm.]
Oh! I did something! A light! I guess this makes up for me not seeing as well as I used to.
Sync or Swim:
[Colette, for her part, does still have certain things she is quieter on. Namely what the end of her Journey is supposed to entail. So. When the tent shuts and she feels compelled to say something, she is decidedly not expecting.....]
The Journey of Regeneration I go on, to become an Angel, to restore Sylvarant, my home, will come with my sacrificing myself.
[Maybe that seems. Obvious. To most, what with the idea of Angels being rather otherworldly and decidedly not human, which Colette still physically appears to be at least. But. Colette has only confided that in Raine back home. Her hands raise to cover her mouth as her eyes widen in surprise at her suddenly saying something like that.]

Inn
Oh! Ah, d-don’t worry! It’s fine!
Arrival
[But Darin's a little late today. So when he starts making his way down to the shore, he sees a young girl wringing herself out and calling for people. Presumably friends or family? Regardless, he trots over and introduces himself.]
Hey there. You just drop in?
Name's Darin Altway, Master Blacksmith at your service! You doing okay there?
no subject
[But. No wings appear in explanation accompanying that when she tries. Colette glances behind her slightly, frowning briefly for a moment but then clearly focusing on the other and introducing herself. Clearly that was more important than worrying about her wings, her usual abilities her Cruxis Crystal grants her as she has been proceeding to the different Seals as her Journey demands. She gives a wave, brushing some hair behind her ear before she reaches to offer her hand.]
I'm Colette! And I'm......not sure, actually. I was just with some others but....
[She doesn't see any of them. Namely Lloyd. Then again she did not expect falling either. More, she expected. Well. Nothing? What else could she expect? After giving up her heart and memories?]

[He pulls a spare blanket he had tucked under an arm, a necessity around here since this world seems to enjoy dumping people in ice cold water, and drapes it around her shoulders.]
If the lady in the lake gave you a potion that makes you warm, it won't last forever. Best to get you dried off a bit.
So...you say you can normally fly?

Haha... You sure did something! You wanna try sending messages with it? Here, point it towards me and push that button again.

[She has no idea really on what she is doing. But she managed to do something! It seems to be working? Colette tries to figure it out in doing as he instructs, taking a moment in figuring as he says in pointing it towards him. And pushing the button. She glances between him and the phone expectantly. Did that work? Did she do it?]
no subject
That button is, in fact, the power button. ]

Training
Brief, distraction from his training, then.]
What's that?
[And should he avoid it?]
no subject
I made a light! I'm not sure on things here since it is different to home. I don't have my Angelic gifts like before but I guess I'm figuring new abilities instead?
[This could still be useful. In the dark, if they needed to see or something. Colette figures it is a start at least? Sort of? In figuring something of an idea on her abilities here at least, even if she can't do the same as she could back home.]
no subject
Sadly, he can empathize; he's lost something, too. Fumbling around to find his magic here. Average now, and novice at worst, with disconnects between his Quirk and self, where he's stumbled to find his footing. Each discovery, more confusing, but a journey's walk from "zero"—forced to reclaim his gifts in pieces. Angels, also, from the sounds of things, which should only exist in spirit.
Still, he'll suspend his disbelief where every sort of magic's new. Light as well, a thing to be cautious about. There's a lot he's never encountered.
He keeps a short distance.]
Can you use it for something?

He watches the girl create a small ball of light in her palm and Izuku smiles.]
You did it and it looks like you picked that up quickly too. Was it hard? I'm wondering how difficult it'll be to get started.
no subject
[.....Though lbr everyone should be very glad she lost the ability of her 'Sacrifice' tech in sacrificing herself to boost her party's HP. Colette still does seem rather excited and in awe of the light as she gazes back to it from giving a small smile to Izuku at his question.]
But I'm sure you can figure it too! Or, um. There's different sorts of magic, here? Right? You just have to figure out which you work with is all!
[She believes in you, Izuku! You can do it!]
no subject
Ah- That's right...! I've just got to learn to master my own type. If it's anything like learning abilities back home it shouldn't be all that bad...
[He laughs sheepishly.]
Does that mean you had magic back home? You made it look so easy.

Plus she sounds pretty excited about her little light ball, and he'd feel bad if he ruined the moment with fire. Instead, he dispels the fire. He can always come back and blow shit up later.]
Not bad. Is this your first time using magic?
no subject
[Colette answers, giving a small shrug. She's trying. Not to dwell too much on figuring her worries regarding losing her usual abilities and what it might mean in regards to back home. If there is to be any consequences for all this back home at all or not. So she thus seems to focus on her little ball of light, definitely on the smaller side for now as she adjusts in still learning, but it's. Something at least. Some progress in her figuring things out here.]

Inn
Ah, n-no...it's fine. I can move something over the hole to block it with my qui--...ah. [Right, she doesn't have her quirk.] N-Nevermind, but...um. I-I'm sure maybe we could put up a towel to block it?
no subject
[This. May be where Colette discovers she is decidedly less strong than back home. Without her usual Angelic strength and all. If she is to try and shift to move say, the set of drawers to cover the hole and finding it heavier than it should be. She could literally just heft a full grown man and carry him back home but apparently. Not so much here......
And this isn't even with Colette considering anyone trying to peek in to watch them. She's just more considering the potential noise or chill or something that would make it uncomfortable for the other.]
no subject
My quirk...it's a superpower most people in my world are born with, and manifest at five years old. Mine could make anything I touched float, by removing its gravity... [Ochako looks at her hands - the raised, slightly pinker skin on the pads of her fingers are still there, which usually triggers her quirk...but nothing ever happens when she touches anything.] But I don't have it anymore. It'd always make moving and lifting furniture, or really heavy objects nothing to me, but now...
I guess it's the old fashioned way.
[Meaning they have to muscle it. Ochako could probably do it, she's very physically fit, despite her small size and cute and Kirby-like exterior (she's a bit like Presea in that way), but it won't be as easy. Especially since, no offense Colette...but you don't seem the type to do much heavy lifting. At least on the outside, anyway.]

Training
[Hey Colette, this girl has a giant doggo wandering up behind her as she comes over - a Hellhound with embers in it's eyes and fur, that came up to her shoulder.]
no subject
[But her first reaction. Probably shouldn't be to try touch the dog and pet and play with it. Playing with the Hellhound is probably a bad and possibly painful idea, given the embers and all? She is more used to normal dogs. Still, Colette is distracted with the arrival of the Hellhound, in seeming to dismiss or at least lose concentration enough that the light she had at her palm fades, as she herself all but lights up at her grinning at the Hellhound.]
Oh, look at you!
no subject
Mukuro reached up and gave her familiar a gentle pet on the side of her neck.]
...Be nice, okay, Fenrir?
[With the assurance, the Hellhound - Fenrir - sat down by them, letting the embers die down enough that she could be given fuss. She acted stoic as always, but at least seemed receptive of attention.]

Inn
So his head jerks up at the sound of someone crashing into the room. Granted, Xiao doesn't necessarily have a home or a room to reside in, but... ]
Were you not taught how to use a door?
no subject
[Cue Colette stammering apologies for tripping into the wall like that. Even prior to her Journey and being granted the gifts of the Angels, she had the habit and strength to leave imprints of herself in walls from her tripping. This is hardly a new occurrance. Just one she might have hoped on avoiding here. Apparently no such luck.]
I'll cover it up and get someone to come fix it? I didn't mean to trip.....!
