π§ WHO: Stella and you!
βοΈοΈ WHAT: Between the quests this month, the upcoming Valentine's concert and getting her own cell phone back as a regain, Stella's been hit with a lot of reminders of home! This means a whole lot of laying around sadly and listening to music, rehearsing for the Valentine's concert and helping with the Cupid's arrow quest while lookin absolutely cute as hell.
π WHEN: The last week of January & the first two weeks of February prior to the planned Valentine's concert
πΊοΈ WHERE: In and around the inn for the first two prompts, and then out and about the city in general for Cupid Time.
β οΈ WARNINGS: None come to mind!
1 β inn, last week of jan/first week of feb
2 β public parks around avalon, first two weeks of feb
3 β cupid arrow quest, all around avalon, first two weeks of feb

1 β inn, last week of jan/first week of feb
- [ If you've been staying at the inn for long enough, then Stella will have eventually become a familiar face β she's reliably at breakfast most days and also she's just the sort of person who will strike up a conversation with a floormop if no one else is around, so you will have almost certainly been Incessantly Chattered At at some point or another, provided you're here for any length of time. The last few days, though, she's been a little withdrawn and quiet but quick to perk back up to her usual levels of energy if someone talks to her.
Things don't really come out of the bag until the first week of February where, in any number of the common areas of the inn, Stella is busy laying around and what could charitably only really be described as moping. This is unusual enough for her, but the real kicker is the fact that she's committing the worst sin known to man β listening to music on her phone without earbuds. She's just got it sitting on her chest, blasting music out of the speaker while she thousand yard stares off into the distance of whatever direction her head head happens to be facing. It's not super loud, but still. C'mon, Stella, that's obnoxious.
Those of you who happened to get hit with a wave of Stella Vibes during the MagiCast tests might find some of the songs familiar, though β she's looping through a few albums from the performers of those songs and even though the music all, admittedly, kind of slaps, it's just making Stella look depressed as hell.
If someone approaches, either to see what's up or just tell her to turn her dingdang music down, she'll sort of blink and take a moment to process that there's now someone else here, in the manner of someone who'd been half asleep before she half-heartedly blats at her phone screen to pause the song. By the looks of things this does actually appear to be Stella's own phone from home as opposed to the Avalon-issued one she's been using. Music now silenced, Stella forces a sheepish grin. ]
Uh, whoops. My bad. Sorry, I was one hundred percent zoned out just now.
2 β public parks around avalon, first two weeks of feb
- [ It might be the butt-end of winter but that doesn't mean anything when there's practice to do!
... Okay, that's a lie. It means that, despite her best efforts to find somewhere to practice, Stella's kind of having a hard time finding anywhere that's actually, you know, dry. Her first instinct is to head for the public parks where she's not going to be bugging too many people and she's got the space to move around. As long as she stays off the grass, it'll be fine, right?
So if you're out and about during these first few weeks of February, it's not that hard to stumble across Stella, hard at work and rehearsing. She's used to having an instructor or at the very least the other girls when it comes to learning choreography so this is a little out of her comfort zone but she's managed to make it work. She's found a gazebo with a table underneath and set her bag and her phone on it, so she can record herself while she rehearses.
It's a cute, energetic dance and from what's audible of the lyrics as she sings, the song itself is just as sugary sweet and cute as well. It's very... Stellacore, for lack of a better word. And she's nailing it pretty well, too β seeing her like this definitely gives some weight to everything she's babbled on about being an idol since getting here.
Of course, with the weather being what it is, her practice is frequently broken up by rainfall sheeting down from the skies and under the gazebo she goes to wait it out. She's got snacks and drinks and her phone, she'll survive.
Then, when the weather finally clears up a bit, she's back out to rehearsing again. She's usually at it for a good few hours at a time before she finally heads back to the inn for the afternoon but then she's straight back at it the next morning. Looks like she's taking this concert pretty seriously. ]
3 β cupid arrow quest, all around avalon, first two weeks of feb
- [ As busy as she is in the lead up to the concert, Stella doesn't really have time to help out with any quests. She doesn't even really look at the app usually, but she happens to check it out of curiosity when the month rolls over and pauses over the Cupid Arrow quest. She really, really doesn't have the time to help out with something like this, but...
But...
But Citrine would go crazy over something like this. She'd get all amped up with Stella and Amber, and the three of them would drag Violet along too, with Rain and Vera hot on their heels to make sure they don't get into too much trouble. Celeste would be chasing after them, telling them they didn't have time for something silly like this, but then Citrine would snicker behind her hand, say something about how Celeste was chicken and then Celeste would be chasing Citrine all up and down Avalon with a whole quiver full of cupid's arrows. They'd all work on it together. So, Stella doesn't really have time to volunteer for a quest like this... but she goes ahead and volunteers anyway.
And then promptly goes out to hunt for guinea pigs. What, did you think she was gonna go stick herself with this thing? Come on, guys. Even she's not that dumb. But she is going to have a little fun with it. ]
Excuse meeeeeee! Hi, hello! Looking for volunteers to help with a very special Valentine's quest!
[ That loudmouth calling out to you as you go past is Stella, stood on any given street corner in Avalon, absolutely decked out in a cutesy Valentine's outfit that she's trussed up with her light magic β she's got a pair of chubby cherub wings made of neon light at her hips that are fluttering excitedly to themselves and a hardlight quiver full of Valentine's arrows on her back.
It's... quite possibly The Most Stella She Has Ever Stella'd. ]
If you've got some free time, please step right up! No side effects guaranteed!
The bold faced lies!!! Cupid would be proud. ]

[He can't help but show a bit of his own smile at the reaction to them. He wouldn't have gotten her something of poor quality, especially when he is so appreciative of music.]
No, just consider them the prize for the footrace.
[It's really not that big of a deal and he blushes a little, modest and seriously happy that she is. Gokudera wasn't getting sick of hearing her music, but he did notice that it was a bit loud. Music that can be played and listened to without interruption is the best. He'd appreciate earbuds if he'd been in her position.]
no subject
[ She's kidding. She's... probably kidding.
She scoots up a little where she's sat, so Gokudera can take a seat if he wants, and offers him one of the earbuds. ]
Here, you wanna listen? I promise I've got good taste.
no subject
[He scoffs and folds his arms, then looks down at her curiously. Well... it's not like she's gotten the earbuds dirty or anything. Gokudera looks about, cautious before he shrugs.]
Alright. What kind of music is it, anyways?
no subject
[ The pride she evidently feels at being able to say that is practically radiating off her. ]
What kinda music do you like best? I'll pick something for you?
no subject
Pick something at random. I'm not partial to most, but not against it either. I'm a fan of classical music. [And is wildly capable on a piano but often makes some rather abstract stuff on his own.]
no subject
[ She swipes and taps her way through the menus for a moment, scrolling through songs and video files before she spots what she's looking for. She gives a triumphant little 'a-hah!' and then pulls up the video. ]
Here, how about this? It's not exactly classical, but it's pretty!
[ And with that, she hits play. True to Stella's word, it's a pretty song with pretty lyrics and the singer is a mysterious yet gentle looking girl. It's a soft, soothing sort of song, even with the energetic piano underneath. ]
no subject
He hums gently once it's done. Some lyrics that don't repeat as he'd like, but the range in vocals is impressive and in all he supposes it tells a fine story.]
That's from your home?
no subject
[ She's all lit up, practically sparkling with the delight of being able to talk up her friends. ]
She usually does kind of mysterious, dreamy sounding songs but this one's a little more down to earth... you know what I mean?
no subject
[Not that he doesn't care for the music before, but that he cares more for Stella. Talking about friends would make him a bit homesick, but he's fortunate that his friends are in this world... not that he's been very interested in making friends.
It's part of why focusing on cheering Stella up makes him feel better.]
You mean the lyrics?
no subject
[ She gives him a beaming smile. ]
You really wanna hear my songs?
no subject
[He nods gently.]
Why wouldnβt I?
no subject
[ Only Stella would be dedicated enough to her aesthetic that she'd inadvertently ruin their theme naming. Oh well. ]
Well, uh... my stuff's not really your kinda stuff, I don't think. It's definitely more like, EDM and super high energy.
no subject
[Cute.]
My kinda stuff? The music I like is not the only music I listen to. I'm a classically trained pianist, but let's be real, Stella. Do I look the fucking part to you?
[Dressed up and acting like a punk, he'd hope not.]
no subject
... This feels like a trick question.
[ What's the answer to give that doesn't hurt his feelings?? ]
no subject
[His point is that it will be wrong, no matter what she decides. Or that his taste is so widely varied that she may take back her statement. Just like foods, he can't decide to listen to the same thing all the time, nor would he be able to eat the same food every day. Music taste is a thing. Stella can't hurt his feelings now after she's made a comment as rude to both of them by dismissing her music group's style as 'not his kinda stuff'. It's art. It's worth appreciating.]
no subject
Man, I dunno. Jazz, maybe? How am I supposed to tell just from looking at you?
[ Of course, that also feels like the entirely wrong thing to say and her discomfort makes her flush red just a bit. ]
no subject
How are you supposed to assume? You already did, Stella. Now... you gonna play some of the music with you in it, or not?
[Gokudera crosses his arms and lifts an eyebrow at her.]
no subject
[ This is totally bullying... even if she absolutely, totally deserved it. With a slightly huffy expression on her face, Stella taps at her phone again, pulling up one song after a bit of consideration, then handing her phone off to Gokudera. ]
Here...
no subject
[He rolls his eyes, accepts the phone and blinks in surprise. There's a lot of editing done to Stella's voice, but he assumed the same with the last song she'd shared with him. Gokudera closes his eyes, and beneath the cover of the table, taps his foot along to the beat. It's fun, and once it's done, he hands back the earbud and phone.]
Will you be performing a song like that at the concert?
no subject
[ It is a Valentine's song, after all. ]
no subject
[Gokudera hasn't told a soul about his love of playing piano, but... it's also a very private thing for him.]
no subject
[ She's never performed live all by herself before, but she's at least been on stage with the other girls enough times that she knows what to do. ]
no subject
[Considering she could find her song on her device. Gokudera's only piano music he made was secretly recorded. He isn't sure he could perform in front of people the same way Stella plans on doing.]
no subject
[ And all the people watching but... it's fine. Probably. ]
no subject
[He relaxes some in his seat by her, despite his thoroughly beaten-up appearance, Gokudera is actively letting himself ease up.]
