Hibernation interrupted? OTA

For those few who had met Rhia already, they might have noticed that she hadn't been seen much of late. While she knew that there were places for the humans in the buildings - and even with her white wings, pointed ears, and clothes that brightened and dimmed with her own life force, she considered herself human most of the time - she never much cared for spending so much time inside walls. Without having to stay there to watch over her brother or an orphan, or anyone else she cared for, she preferred to sleep away from the nests that humans built. So she'd been finding burrows and hidey holes within the woods. She might have spent a week curled up with a family of bears, or inside of exceptionally large boles with squirrels or even just in the branches of various coniferous trees where her outfit of green leaves and vines and bark brown skin made her all but invisible.

But some days the stars were too pretty to ignore and she'd find a rock in a clearing or the roof of a building to lay out on under a blanket of woven plant leavings, shivering but happily watching the constellations. Or she'd be out by day stepping light as a fawn as she hunted any bushes that still had berries to yield. Or if she saw someone too much like her brother that needed pouncing - which was mostly be Sokka at this point - she might pounce him from the trees. To others she might be noticed only as a sense of being watched while out among the trees. But if you are attempting to harm a living tree, beware, for she will try and stop you....

"Weird," she said. "I wonder how that changed once the worlds merged..." She leaned back on her heels and considered it, then grinned impishly. "I'd love to meet a loftwings, I've never heard of such a creature! And then we could go flying together!" She loved flying. She still hadn't gotten her fill.

"Actually, we found out about the surface before the world started to... well, this. My best friend fell between the clouds and I had to follow her, that opened a new whole world of opportunities for all of us." There's a pause then, and he sighs.

"I can introduce you to a Loftwing, my partner is back home, but his side was somehow reduced and... I'm afraid he'll not be able to carry me freely. Trust me, I'd love to go flying with you."

She considered a moment, then grinned. "We can help. Anyone who wants to fly should be able to. Can you get to the top of the tree without hurting her?" she asked. The her being the tree, of course.

He was somehow confused by Rhia's question, but at the same time curiosity automatically got the best of him- if someone could help him fly, he wanted to try. "I can climb a tree, yes.". He didn't even bother questioning the use of a female noun, he met the Kikwi in his world and they're half animals and half plants... if the tree is a she, the knight is not going to question it. "What's the plan?"

She gave an impish smile. "You'll see. Just don't get scared and wiggle too much," she teased as she leapt for the lowest branch and pulled herself up with ease. She looked like a cluster of leaves as she moved swiftly upward as though she were part of the tree herself.

"It's okay, I'm trusting you." Even because he had his sailcloth so even if he was to fall down, that wasn't really going to trouble him too much. He's quick after her, climbing like he had countless experience before- a tree is nothing compared to weirdest things he had to deal with during his journey. "There we go!" he coments, sitting on the top and smiling brightly in her direction.

She grinned and whistled. Her familiar came at her whistle. It was a glorious phoenix in all the colours of flames. The bird spun a few times for the glory of flying, and to show off some beautiful plumage, then dipped low to the trees. Rhia held a hand out towards Link. "I'll hold one hand, she'll hold your other," she said, eyes twinkling with amusement.

Beautiful! That was a wonderful looking familiar! Link put down his remlit on a tree branch and immediately prepared himself. Again, he had the security of his sailcloth to block any eventual fall but- who was he to stay confined on the ground when an opportunity to soar in the sky just presented itself?

"I... yes, please.." That was all he managed to say, securing his sailcloth for easy access before offering them his hands.

She grabbed one hand as the talons of her bird grabbed his other one. She unfurled her wings and they both pushed off, launching the three of them up into the air. Rhia laughed merrily, a sound her brother said was just like bells. Her head tossed back as they flew higher and higher, her voice lifting in song as their bodies lifted in the air.
