A Quest for the Pure of Heart ( LOCKED TO RIN )
And, still, if murder should be what happens here, there's clearly a reason for openly posting a hit.
He approaches the bridge to the destination and sees another there. Huh - that's convenient. He speaks as he approaches her: ]
It looks like we're both here for the same thing.
[ He doesn't know her, but if they have the same end-goals, it doesn't matter. ]

Oh, but she kind of trusts Morgana to have some kind of a fucked up twist in anything, including this quest even if she has no idea what it could be. Well, whatever it is, Rin wants the money from this quest, so here she is, about to go do the thing alone! Archer didn't want to come along and Rin wouldn't even ask Saber to any quests by Morgana despite how Saber is her first option to most quests and everything else...
She'd just go and get it done, no big deal and no problem at all. Tohsaka's just about to go, when someone else approaches the bridge too. Huh, looks like she has company. Well then, this will possibly be far from her usual prim and proper first impression considering Rin looks dead serious and determined already.]
Yes. So, if you think you can do it, I won't mind company.
[No need to bother if he thinks he'll run away screaming... Says the girl, who survived through a battle royale-styled war without killing anyone herself??
Also Rin, please, you can't do quests alone.]no subject
[ Louis looks amused, and there's that momentary sense of competition. As if she had just said "If you're strong enough to do it" though she hadn't. As if he needs to prove to someone he just met that he's strong and capable and won't back down from a task presented in front of him. He looks unshaken by the challenge, of course. ]
Of course. My goal is complete the task as perfectly as possible.
[ Make himself reliable and indispensable. Because even if you don't trust the people around you, there's no reason he couldn't make himself trustworthy to them. With that, he takes the first steps onto the bridge and tilts his head towards her. ]
Still, the sooner we move forward, the better. No reason to delay.
Library ( LOCKED TO HARRY )
He approaches. He decides that his first goal is to find an easy way into the library. The second is to understand the lay of the land, her patterns and behavior, and then he thinks it'll be easier to get up on the shelf.
But he also knows it will be faster with a reliable, second set of hands. So as he sees the young man, he asks: ]
Did you already find a way in?

(Harry is also there, trying to find a way to get into the maze, but he has no luck so far. With the librarian on the prowl, the size of the maze being so vast and large, and the Invisibility Cloak not functioning in Avalon, he has to find a much better strategy in getting around and finding what is inside.)
That is a large maze we’re about to head into.

[ As he says it, he glances upwards. Up might give them some perspective about the librarian's position, as well as where they're going to have to go next. He considers the other for a moment, and he asks. He has to know because maybe he'll have something more useful than Louis' hexes and curses that he's still working on getting better at. ]
What sort of magic do you have?
[ Assess the skills of whomever is nearby, right? ]
no subject
I have kinetic magic, that means I can move things around with my mind, along with trying to practise controlling movement speed and teleporting.
no subject
[ Though, he's not quite sure how skilled anyone is at their magic. Even with a lot of practice, Magic is weird and unfamiliar to him still. He's not quite gotten used to it as much as he had hoped he would. He's found that Dark Magic is good for some things, but something like this? Not necessarily.
He's not the most nimble person. But he is eyeing the shelving for a path up that he could easily take. A way to get there without moving the books. He assumes if he is able to do it, this guy probably can, too. ]
I have Dark Magic, which doesn't have a lot of practical application here, but hopefully we find something without needing to use much.
[ He shifts a little, too the right. He found a gap in some books on the shelf. ]
This might be a good path up.
no subject
(It wasn’t long before Harry begins to get around the gap and start climbing up the bookshelves. He could try to teleport himself and Louis onto the top of the shelves right away, but he is still new to it right now and he doesn’t know if his current magic level can do it well without misfiring.)
Phew, that is a long climb. At least the librarian can’t see us from this height right now. (He tells Louis this in a soft quiet voice.)
no subject
Yeah, I think that's the best thing we could have hoped for here.
[ He's still whispering, of course. Just in case. They don't want to draw attention from up here. Because as easy this would be to sneak around if they were quiet - if they got caught, it'd be a hell of a time to escape.
After a couple of minutes to recover - Louis makes his way over the tops of the shelves so that he can at least start to check out the place they are here to explore. ]

While looking around, Harry could see some shadowy figures below where he is standing on, though neither one of them looks like the librarian. Wonder what could it be? Still, he does his best to find the symbols that are said to be hidden among the bookshelves.)
Okay, those symbols have to be hidden somewhere within these bookshelves and I wonder where some of them could be.
no subject
[ At least, they'd probably be able to sneak around and keep eyes on the librarian with much less effort than trying to move among the shelves, checking every corner. If they're lucky, at least up here they can get a good view in the distance. They just have to hope she doesn't look up. ]
There's bound to be something off where the symbols would be hiding, anyway. Maybe an out of place book.
no subject
(As they check around the bookshelves while cautiously walking around, Harry notices one book that has been out of place. Is it the genre, is it the way it was placed? One thing is for certain: It could be hiding a symbol they are looking for.)
Hey, look at this, that book might be hiding something behind it.
no subject
[ And an organized librarian wouldn't put a book in the wrong place intentionally, right? Louis looks at at the book in question and then shifts his attention around to see if there's any sort of librarian around before he drops to his stomach on the shelf so that he doesn't have to climb down then up, before he reaches for the book itself. ]
no subject
I am also thinking the same way as well, I doubt that a well organised librarian intentionally put a book in the wrong section or genre like that.
no subject
Looks like there's something here, right? I'm not crazy.
[ Just to be sure. ]
no subject
Oh wow, it is one of the symbols we’re asked to look for. I know that the librarian is trying to hide something, but maybe this one can try to tell us something about it.
