⚔️️ WHAT: A different kind of gay panic. Taichi needs the power of their love for a spell, so he can reunite with his love.
🕒 WHEN: After his meeting with Morganna. Probably at like 10 at night too.
🗺️ WHERE: Tsumukazutsuzu's place
⚠️ WARNINGS: he needs some hair dont worry about it

[ At this time of night, Taichi would normally be in bed. He should be in bed. But he stayed up late to perform a ritual to summon Morganna.. though as he discovered, it really more summoned him to her. But that's neither here nor there. He's back now, and he knows what he needs. And needs is something he feels in his soul, so much so that he can't wait until morning.

He doesn't get ready for bed, he uses totems to get from Fleur to Camelot, and runs to his friends' home as fast as he can. So much so that he's out of breath as he pounds on the door with his fist, putting his hands on his knees and probably being lucky for his life that such an idiot running with scissors across multiple towns didn't trip and die on his way to making things right. ]

It's Tai-- [ BREATHE ] It's Taichi, let me in!

[ It seems like a lot of unexpected things are happening this calendar day. First waking up to his boyfriend trying to slip a ring on his finger, and now this. There's not really a time of day he'd anticipate such aggressive knocking on their front door, but if there were, this late at night would definitely not be it.

But it's Taichi, so Tsumugi without question drops the broom he was sweeping with (since he's the one tracking in dirt all the time from the gardens, it only felt fair he be responsible for that particular chore...) and goes to open it. ]

Taichi-kun? [ With a gentle hand on his back, he ushers him inside. ] What are you doing here?

Yikes, was that actually Taicchan~? [Who knows what Kazunari was doing at the time, but even he heard the pounding on the door and zips over to investigate.

Given both of their penchant for shenanigans, Taichi banging on the door doesn't necessarily mean it's an emergency. But one look at him with Tsumugi, out of breath and... with scissors??? puts Kazunari on alert.

What has happened to his bromodachi! Who does he have to fight!] Ehh! It really is! [He joins Tsumugi in his ushering.] Are you OK?

Yeah! Amazing! I need hair!

[ He holds up the scissors, keeping one hand on his knee for support. He really did run, forgetting he has Hikaru's magic carpet and a mount. Like a fool. ]

[tsumtsuki]

[ ... uh............ ]

Hair? [ He looks to Kazunari, confused. Is this some sort of puppy code that's going over his head? ]

Oh, wig?

[At least this isn't a sad emergency?? But he's as clueless as Tsumugi this time.]

[ W-Wig..?? Taichi's brain goes to imagining how much of Tsumugi and Kazunari's hair he would have to take to make a wig, which...



How does someone recover from this imagine?

The best solution is just to pretend it never happened, and not explain the "Bald..." that's uttered from his lips while staring at the top of Kazunari's head. ]

[ He shakes his head rapidly to knock himself out of it. There are more important things to get focused on.

If Tsumugi knows anything about Taichi, he'll know that this must be serious, as Taichi's ability to get distracted is probably 50% of why he's terrible at studying. ]

No! I summoned a goddess and she said if I burn the hair of two people who have true love between each other in her name, then she'll give me a key! To go between Hikaru's world and ours any time I want, once everything's fixed!

[ Yes, he can quickly tell how serious this is. And then the mention of Hikaru- it makes perfect sense.

He's gotten glimpses of it here and there, but still... it's hard to think just how painful it's been, being worlds apart for the one you love and long for. Ironically, the closest he gets is with Lucifer and Mark. But Lucifer never had. Taichi did. Does, now, if the goddess isn't lying to him.

(and while tsumugi isn't a particularly aggressive person, even he'd have some words if this turned out to be some joke.) ]

That's great news! [ He draws back, but leaves his hand on his shoulder as he smiles. ] And I'd be honored to help you. [ t-true love... uuuuu ]

[Why does Kazunari feel like he's been wronged in a distant, intangible way...]

Yeah! That's a no-brainer! Take as much as you need! [...] But not, like, too much. I like Tsumutsumu's hair.

[Kazunari reaches up to ruffle Tsumugi's hair, as if to emphasize his point. Taichi may be a little too focused on the task at hand to notice how Kazunari is sporting a ring that matches Tsumugi's, but it sure is there. Taichi picked the right people for this.]

Hehe, that's why I didn't just sneak in and take it, I thought if you both moved in your sleep, you'd end up with a patch in the back.

[ As Banri will tell you, Taichi has no problem borrowing people's things without permission. Usually his face wash or moisturizer. But that's besides the point. Taichi bows down deep, because even though they're his friends, he really, really needs to show them how grateful he is and he doesn't have any idea to begin doing so. ]

Thank you! I only need a little bit from each of you, then I have to tie it together and burn it. Which is probably gonna smell super gross so I'm going to put a flower in it too, do you have a suggestion of something strong, Tsumugi-san?

[ He's gonna move around to snip Kazu's hair first. Just a pinch, about two inches long but not thick enough to be super noticeable... and then he catches the glint of the ring and just about drops the scissors on the floor, nearly maiming his toe. (Nearly. He missed, thankfully.) ]

Are you two engaged!?

[ Oh. Right. That might be a good thing to explain before he goes all Garden Boss and starts listing way too many flowers. ]

Ahaha... not quite. [ But he'll hold out his hand for Taichi anyway, in case he wants to inspect the very much identical ring on his finger more closely. ] It's more of a promise we're making to each other. Right, Kazu-kun?

Mmm! [His puppy ears and tail would be out if he had them. Tail excitedly wagging thump, thump, thump.]

Since you an' Tsumutsumu are from the future, things might be wacky when we get back home. [He really does not know how that is gonna work out, and he's terrified of them going back to the points in time they originally came from. His Tsumugi would feel so far away...]

I wanted to have something that tethers us together!

[ Taichi stares at the ring with wide eyes, taking it in. He's so happy for them.. and for himself, honestly.]

Hehehe.. I definitely picked the right lovers! [ He's approaching Tsumugi with the scissors first. He makes a snip snip motion as he does with the scissors. ] This kind of pure but sexy adult romance is just the thing Morganna-sama was asking for..! I'm so happy for you two... Oh, maybe you could try talkin to a cognitive mage to hide your memories in the ring so you get them back even if you lose them? Coggies are thinking magic right?

... Taicchan, you really ARE a genius!! [If only he weren't holding scissors, Kazunari would squeeze him so tightly.]

We're all gonna get our happy endings, hehe!

[ Tsumugi stays still for Taichi and those snippy scissors. But otherwise he, too, would be pulling him into a hug. ]

That makes sense to me! [ He’s smiling so, so warmly. ] I’ve gotten pretty good at using my cognitive magic, so I could give it a try.

[ He rarely speaks with so much confidence about himself and his abilities - but he wants this idea to work. He wants to succeed. So he’ll believe in himself, just this once. ]

[ Taichi thinks for a second, then snips a little piece from behind Tsumugi's ear, where he thinks it will be less noticeable. Then he turns to Kazu to get his from the same spot.

He doesn't know about genius-- Kazunari is definitely the only one to ever call him that! But he is pretty romance-minded, so that idea falls under his love of love more than his use of brain cells.

Case and point: ]

Eh?! I forgot you were a coggie! [ And Kazu is snipped too now. Taichi immediately drops the scissors on the floor because he's only got two hands and one is for hair and the other is for the twine he's pulling out of his pocket to tie both tufts together. ]

[tsumtsuki]

[ ... Okay, how can he not laugh at that? It's not at all malicious - Tsumugi doesn't have a mean bone in his body - but there's just something funny about this.

He seamlessly slips into telepathy to respond, just to Taichi, ] (I am!) [ before continuing aloud. ] It'd be the first time I've worked with memories like this... But I suppose they aren't too different from dreams.

[ As he's considering this clearly important, kinda philosophical matter, he goes ahead and grabs a few things for the hair bundle: some sage leaves, a few sprigs of lavender, and a bright red rose. ]
