[He flashes only a brief return of a smirk before lighting up. It's nothing personal mind you. He's not one to judge. Much. Wouldn't have made it where did otherwise.
But it does leave the question of how to deal with Jyushi hanging in the air. Dissuading him never works. Denying it--quite honestly at that--has landed them here. A year or two ago that would have left Hitoya much more prone to lashing out. But now...?]

You're nobility now too, aren't you? For as ye-olde as Camelot is, at least that's not by inheritance. You'd be getting hassled even more. [Something something, the duke has to marry the neighboring princess to secure the future of the duchy! I'd be lying if I didn't say the whole place wasn't more trouble than it's worth though. Abandoned for god knows how long. Took a month just to get the basic necessity habitable. Can't complain about the view though. Or the privacy. Or the wine cellars.
